Sandy Posted December 9, 2014 Author Posted December 9, 2014 Question for Sandy: what happens when there are two Skirmishers in a party and one rolls Phalanx while the other one's Phalanx is still active? Do the timers stack collectively (which would sort of make sense with the whole "teamwork" concept of the class), or do they both get separate timers (a la Knights and Paladins rolling double Sentinels/Guardian Angels)? If it's the latter, does the damage reduction stack while both are in effect? (It would make sense to me--if a Phalanx blocks half of all incoming blows, a second Phalanx could block half of the blows that get past the first Phalanx.) Hell should I know. Ask Brickdoctor, he made the class. Quote
Flare Posted December 9, 2014 Posted December 9, 2014 In the beginning of the Decamon Tournament, will we be allowed to trade cards with each other? Quote
Duvors Posted December 9, 2014 Posted December 9, 2014 (edited) Ignore this. Edited December 9, 2014 by Lord Duvors Quote
Sandy Posted December 9, 2014 Author Posted December 9, 2014 In the beginning of the Decamon Tournament, will we be allowed to trade cards with each other? Yes, you have free control over your own character. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted December 10, 2014 Posted December 10, 2014 Hell should I know. Ask Brickdoctor, he made the class. I asked Flipz to ask you since it would affect the balance of the game. My opinion was that multiple Phalanxes do not stack. Quote
JimBee Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 Can Marauders use their Two is Better Than One ability to upgrade any piece of equipment, or do they have to be suitable (longsword, mace, whip or dagger)? For example, could one upgrade a longsword at Anwyl's and then get the second free upgrade for say, a handcannon? Quote
Flipz Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 I'm pretty sure it was ruled that it had to be suitable, I could be wrong though. Quote

Then I'll agree with your opinion. As you all know, I suck at nitty-gritty stuff like this. For example, could one upgrade a longsword at Anwyl's and then get the second free upgrade for say, a handcannon? Marauders can only upgrade weapons suitable to them. Quote
K-Nut Posted December 14, 2014 Posted December 14, 2014 Seeing as a trip to the Fields of Glory counts towards the 15 quests needed for a second character, does a trip to the fields count as a successful quest when it comes to the Veteran job classes? Quote

Could swear the FoG does not count as a quest. Quote
K-Nut Posted December 14, 2014 Posted December 14, 2014 This says otherwise (towards a second character at least). Quote

Just not sure if I want to end up making a third semi-lengthy trip to the fields. I've only got another quest or two to 10 successful quests too, if the fields don't count. Quote
Comrade Commander Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 Random question, can we trade glory points from the Fields of Glory between players? The rules of the field don't mention it from what I see, and I tried to do a search and didn't come up with anything. Thanks! Quote

A second character requires 15 quests participated in, so FoG runs count towards that, as do failed quests. However, access to the Veteran Classes requires completing 10 quests successfully, so FoG and failed quests do not count in that case. Quote
CMP Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 When you win a majority of rounds in a Decamon match (ensuring a win), do you just continue playing regardless? I can't seem to find anything about this in the Decamon rules. Quote

CMP Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 Bricksandparts brought up a point that was not answered: Why haven't the players with more than five cards chosen a hand? I think Sandy mentioned it, and unless I'm wrong it's just an honor system thing. I have a hand in mind but I haven't posted it anywhere. I think if it comes to PvP matches though, it'd be best if they were PMed to Sandy. Quote
Sandy Posted December 16, 2014 Author Posted December 16, 2014 When you win a majority of rounds in a Decamon match (ensuring a win), do you just continue playing regardless? I can't seem to find anything about this in the Decamon rules. You always play all five cards in a match, no matter if the victory is secured or not. See the concluded matches in the Cerulean Cup for reference. Bricksandparts brought up a point that was not answered: Why haven't the players with more than five cards chosen a hand? At the beginning of each Cup, I urged everyone with bigger decks to choose five cards. It is up to them if they want to make it public or not. In player-vs.-player matches later on, I will ask people to send me their hands through PMs. I just didn't see the point in it with the matches against NPCs. It really is an honor thing. Quote
