Kai NRG Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 Then why are you supporting Ulandus? Well, if the desert king really will win the challenge, he would at least be a righteous and benevolent king who is native Kaliphlinite. But the Black Spire is a mean gang of looters. We may be foes yet. But you may support our cause in challenge V. I would be glad to team up with you :) Actually I'm just supporting Ulandus because I thought it would be fun. At the beginning I was pretty sure the High Council would win, and it was the one I wanted (and still would prefer) to win anyways. (Which doesn't and didn't mean that I wasn't going to put up a fight for Ulandus... obviously!) But I figured Ulandus would be more fun and even if we did win, that wouldn't turn things nearly as topsy-turvey as the DK thing. Blahblahblah... Kaliphlin is turning into Nocturnus and I don't like it! (Seriously!) I have no idea who I'll support for Challenge V. I don't plan that far ahead. In fact I'm not even sure who I supported the first time... Quote
mrcp6d Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 When is challenge five going to start? Probably August-ish. There's usually a break between challenges to allow for determination of winners and/or storylines. Plus, after this one, we all probably need to go get some physical therapy for our fingers! Quote
TheUtilityBelt Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 (edited) Oh man I missed a lot. Can someone catch me up? I'm going to get started building again once I clean off my work table. TitusV Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 Kai NRG saod in the Avalonian guild discussion that if a long time passes by withouth getting enough UoP support for a vuile, i should post a remeber in this guild discussion. So here i am! I'd really like to get the credits for rocks and cliffs in this build: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=110141&view=&hl=&fromsearch=1 Thank you Quote
Mike S Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 Then why are you supporting Ulandus? Well, if the desert king really will win the challenge, he would at least be a righteous and benevolent king who is native Kaliphlinite. And I thought rats were smart.... Quote

EDIT: Oh hey, whats that dwarf doing under my profile doing? Quick catch up - start building for Ulandus (a mysterious island that suddenly popped up rather conveniently, for Ska, right before the challenge) or the High Council, Kaliphlin's former ruling body, soon or else see the guild fall to a heartless impostor of a mummy who dares to call himself the Desert King and who wants to plunge Nocturnus on us all! Dwarf is because of participation in Challenge III. Quote
LordDan Posted June 17, 2015 Posted June 17, 2015 How is he an imposter of a mummy? To my knowledge he hasn't pretended to be a mummy ;) Quote
Kai NRG Posted June 17, 2015 Posted June 17, 2015 How is he an imposter of a mummy? To my knowledge he hasn't pretended to be a mummy ;) Well, but he claims that he used to be a mummy, right? Sorry, I may not be quite up to date on all your power hungry leader's pretensions. Quote

Sorry, I may not be quite up to date on all your power hungry leader's pretensions. YOUR leader. Better start to learn his real name. Ark'Mora Raa. I would immediately take him as leader of Nocturnus and give you the Black Spire. Edited June 17, 2015 by Jacob Nion Quote

MassEditor Posted June 17, 2015 Posted June 17, 2015 Plus, after this one, we all probably need to go get some physical therapy for our fingers! No kidding! I could really use some kind of LEGO-related disability pension. YOUR leader. Better start to learn his real name. Ark'Mora Raa. Amen brother! Don't mind the dissenters - haters always gonna hate. It is a shame Ark'Mora's benevolence has not affected these wayward souls, perhaps a few eras in the deep tombs of Sultan's Gate will change their minds! Quote
Dr.Cogg Posted June 17, 2015 Posted June 17, 2015 I always thought the the groups we're like this as far as governing goes, High Council / A Republic, Desert King / A Monarchy, Ulandus / A Dictatorship Quote
Kai NRG Posted June 17, 2015 Posted June 17, 2015 All Ulandus wants is representation in the High Council. At least that's all I support of Ulandus, and since I am Ulandus... No Taxation Without Representation! And pardon me, what is the difference between monarchy and dictatorship? Notice how it's the Nocturnians who are sticking up for their twin the Desert King. I joined Kaliphlin because it was Kaliphlin. If I had wanted to join Nocturnus, I would have! Well, it doesn't matter a whole lot, we'll figure out a way to get rid of the undesirable ruling body. Or else I'm seceding and going to form my own guild! Besides of course, don't count your chickens before they hatch guys, much less should I count someone else's chickens, there are still three categories left! We will NEVER except that undead tyrant as our leader! You can take him! I'll head up the resistance. Amen to that! Quote

Don't worry about those blinded Nocturnians that have never seen the sun, Kai, they have no idea the difference between a true liberator or a tyrant. Just you wait for when they get their wish and have the desert king as their ruler, they'll be begging at Lord Ravage's feet asking for him to return to rule over them. Although I must say, I never expected them to fall so hard for the desert king's pretensions. Quote
LordDan Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 Really though, the Desert King isn't even close to being as bad as Ravage, despite what you Kaliphalites think. Ravage is evil, plans to conquer all of Historica, cares nothing for the people, and is leads the Hand of Corruption and the drow, two of the cruelest, evilist grous in Historica. On the other hand, we have the Desert King. Although some of his forces ( aka Jacob Nion) have been known to use ruthless methods, his goal is not to oppress his loyal citizens, and has done many things good thing for His people, such as stopping slavery http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=109762#entry2228763 giving medial aid to both his allies and enemies http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=109575#entry2224164 giving bread to the people http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=109321#entry2218265 feeding the hungry http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=109098#entry2212651 offering help http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=109049 allowing his people religious freedom http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=107407 Defending citizens from lawless bandits http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=107596 Handing out food http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=108397&st=0 setting up an orphanage http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=109839 and probably many more things that Missed. On the other hand, the other 2 factions don't seem to be doing nearly as much for the citizens ( Im not counting fighting for them since all 3 faction are doing this). And at the other extreme is Ravage, who does nothing for his citizens but murder and kill them! Now who do you think is better, Ravage or the Desert King? Quote

He already has conquered Nocturnus... all without even the use of an army...Who would have thought? However I doubt Avalonia and Mitgardia will fall so peacefully to his magical charms once Kaliphlin is firmly placed under his heel. Perhaps he will sink them into the sea like Ulandus... As far as all the things his agents have done for "the people", all I have to say is smoke and mirrors folks, smoke and mirrors.... Quote
TitusV Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 Oh, i don't think Avalonia will surender to a King of a little dust... And Ravage, is he an appart faction in the civil war, or is he siding with the HC or Ulandus? Quote
Jacob Nion Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 (edited) You all need a lesson in Historica history. The Desert King has no ambitions to bring war over the other guilds. Otherwise he wouldn't promise Esterbroke to Avalonia, eh? We wouldn't as only faction assemble lords from every of the four guilds if it wasn't in the Pharao's favour to secure the peace in all of Historica. He destroyed the drow! And what has Ulandus to offer? Supporting a Mitgardian king? That's ridiculous. Ulandus never had any potential to influence that decision. And what do they want? A seat in the high council for every of their cities. Together with the Kaliphlin cities which suppport them in their blindness they soon would control the council's decisions. And how long til Xersia would be the new capital? The only polittics Ulandus practices is expanding their territory and influence. In their insanity they would soon believe they could rule more than just Kaliphlin. You speak of fighting dictatorship and tyrany, you think the sides are easily to divide in black and white. But you will find out soon enough that Nocturnus is more than black. What seems to be a threat to you today probably is destined to be your only hope tomorrow. Oh, i don't think Avalonia will surender to a King of a little dust... And Ravage, is he an appart faction in the civil war, or is he siding with the HC or Ulandus? Raavage is the usurper that holds Nocturnus in his claws for about two years now. And he is the foe to every free soul in all of Historica. Some of you are calling me cruel, brutal. But you haven't faced the unleashed cruelty of the Black Spire yet. Edited June 18, 2015 by Jacob Nion Quote
MiloNelsiano Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 The Desert King just decided to sink Ulandus into the ocean with sorcery because of a dispute to use them as an example. The example didn't work and the folk in the west marches weren't too happy with him, so he tried to sink them too. Certainly doesn't sound too benevolent to me, though it might to someone with Stockholm Syndrome. Quote
Kai NRG Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 Notice how we don't have to appeal to the people with free handouts (which, coming from the government, are good for nothing but lowering morale), because we are the people. Ulandus is just trying to reright all the wrongs the Desert King did to them. Quote
TitusV Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 A messanger arrives by horse at the camp of lord Nion He claims his message can only be given to the lord, and after he's admitted to the tent, he hands his letter to him. Dear Lord Nion, We Avalonians all know the mercy of your king, and so prove our Mystic Isles. And we all know the treat of the Drow to the peace in Historica - so why aren't you fighting them, instead of fighting your brother-historicans? And yes, the Ulandian Faction would control the High Council, but that's the way of a council: the one with the most support leads. Of course, you as servant of a dictator, don't know better. You where misled by the magic of a despot, as were so many of our brothers. But you're a great, maybe the greatest, strategist, and therefor I sent you a proposal: stop fighting against the rightfull rulers of Kaliphlin, and turn your might and power to they who deserve to fear them. Reunite you, Kaliphlins, and fight against an enemy who would -as you said- become to powerfull to defeat if we won't do anything against him. So I offer you my aid, and the troops and wealth of Drond's Feelds, if you can manage to let the Kaliphlins reunite against their-our common enemy. Greeting, Lord Alric of Drondil Note: I can only do this if my my leader, the Mighty Astorious Rex, agrees. Sealed with the official seal of the House of Drondil Quote
LordDan Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 Atritious Rex is not the current leader of Avalonia! Lords Simion S and de Gothia are. Also the Desert King has killed ALL the drow in Kaliphlin already, so he has made it clear that he is their enemy Quote

It is you who with undue haste do welcome with open arms one who you hope to be your savior and tout as your only hope for tomorrow. It is you who fear a simple warlord whose only power is to command armies, while you court a being whose continued existence upsets the natural balance of life, a being who possesses powers that no single being should possess.
