Kai NRG Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 Ah, but if we bathed how would we keep the crumbs-stored-for-later-in-our-beards from getting soggy? We are just way more prepared than any other guild and you all are jealous, admit it. No, down here in Kaliphlin we can afford porters. Quote
Gideon Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 I've finally uploaded a picture of my whole castle: All the modules of the castle: South Tower Gatehouse North Tower Great Hall Sorry for building my largest build during my first year in GoH in Avalonia and not in Kaliphlin, still got a collection clearly biased towards the gray/green palette. But with a lot of those pieces tied into this build at the moment I'm looking forward to building more in tan again! Quote
Mike S Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 Sorry for building my largest build during my first year in GoH in Avalonia and not in Kaliphlin, still got a collection clearly biased towards the gray/green palette. But with a lot of those pieces tied into this build at the moment I'm looking forward to building more in tan again! At least it was built for GoH! However gray/green palette can be used for Kaliphlin too. My Aden's gate build is gray/green palette but definitely Kaliphlin. Type of green foilage makes a big difference. Quote

Gideon Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 Congrats for being BB blogged Gideon!! And you are of course more than welcome to your home guild whenever you want! Thanks! Even though it was unintentional, it was quite good timing to get that attention right when this build is on display again Quote

TheUtilityBelt Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 My problem with LEGOs is that I don't have enough dull colors. A lot of mine are red or blue 2x4 bricks! Quote

qiadris Posted February 18, 2014 Posted February 18, 2014 (edited) Click on the image to get to the post for this Sultan's Gate build. I would also like to ask if it's okay for me to vote on DoH credits. I haven't so far because I'm a fairly new guild member. Edited February 18, 2014 by qiadris Quote
Gideon Posted February 18, 2014 Posted February 18, 2014 I think all Kaliphlin members should be allowed to vote for UoP Quote
Kai NRG Posted February 18, 2014 Posted February 18, 2014 I think all Kaliphlin members should be allowed to vote for UoP Yeah, current status of the rules seem to indicate that that is the case, so go ahead! Quote
Gideon Posted February 18, 2014 Posted February 18, 2014 And there's also still the possibility of a veto from the old guard if we were to be swarmed with mediocre builders voting for each other But so far I think the newcomers have done a very good job! Quote
gedren_y Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 I have made my Bricklink order for the rare in the US Duplo Egg parts. I am still waiting on the invoice, but soon I will have the Egg of the Goddess. Next month I will make my next Shop@Home order. As soon as I have all the parts, I will begin the Nestlands Clans Quest for the Egg saga. That doesn't mean I won't be building for Sultan's Gate. Moss of my tan parts will go to that. Quote
Gideon Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 Interesting gedren_y, sounds like there will be some serious story writing there as well? Quote
Gideon Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 (edited) Still missing one vote on each of the claims in the topics below, any Kaliphlinite who has time to take a look and vote for or against (if a credit is not approved I'd rather know why than just not get the necessary votes). Book II Challenge 1 A: To Ambush an Ambush - certifications: Tree / Dense foliage Book II Challenge 1 B: Swamplands Tower - certifications: Advanced SNOT / Sideways rocks / Still water / Swamp Book II Challenge 1 C: Recruiting a Cyclops Tribe - certifications: Roofing / Wooden walls / Tribal scene / Life in Nocturnus Nordana Castle, Gatehouse - certifications: Fortifications / Movement-enabled Nordana Castle, North Tower - certifications: Tree / Studs up rocks and cliffs / Flowing water Anyone else missing review of their credits, please "reflash" the builds here so we can approve (progress towards your degree) or deny (so you can improve and make better builds in the future) the credits. soccerkid6 Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 I still need one more vote for all my credits from A Clever Trap And one more vote for all the requested credits from Valdrfell Stables Quote
Kai NRG Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 I'm missing a vote on my Rounding up the Herd. Also missing two on Stranded but that's more recent. I think I've voted on all the previous ones that have been mentioned just now, but if not please let me know. It seems that we have four more or less regular voters which puts those of us who are one of the four at a bit of a disadvantage! Also, just in case anyone is holding off not trying to be a bother by not reminding us, please do go ahead and pipe up any (reasonable, like you know a week after posting) time you're missing a vote or two, either here in the Kali thread or the DoH thread... personally at least I can never be sure if the Registrar's thread is up-to-date (and it can be quite complicated given all the different formats) - plus I don't want to sift through dozens of comments just to see if I've given a build a + or not (though that seems unavoidable anyways)... TheUtilityBelt Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 How would I make a link to different topics on my posts? Quote
Kai NRG Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 How would I make a link to different topics on my posts? There's a little button up top that looks like a chain... select whatever text you want and then click that button. After the square shows up paste the URL of whatever you want to link to in the appropriate box. You probably won't have any trouble with the http, but do make sure there's only one http:// at the beginning of the URL. Quote

SkaForHire Posted February 20, 2014 Author Posted February 20, 2014 Sorry all, I would go through these builds but I am not even supposed to be checking EB right now because of workload issues. I should be back in the clear in about a week, and if there is anyone still hanging on, I will go through them and give a yay or nay. Quote
qiadris Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 http://www.flickr.co...05/12291204514/ Like this? Almost, you should select the text or image that you want to link there. Like in this case it would be Sultan's Gate or something similar. So first you type "Sultan's Gate", then select the text you have just typed, and then press the "chain button" Kai mentioned; you'll get a pop up and there you can paste the address. Quote
