Thanks! The gate itself is almost finished now, but I'm struggling with if/how to build a cliff to put it on.

I'll be on parental leave all of April so I'll probably try to build my first ship then between changing diapers and cooking baby food

Right now however my only ship hull is part of an unfinished build I started as a response when Kabel started the naval provocations...might try to finish that first.

I am having trouble building a cliff right now, myself. I found that I have tan in about everything but inverse slopes!

The exact same problem I'm having with the ship :P

Hey fellow guildies;

sorry i haven't been so active lately, but i thought i'd post this Kaliphlin free-build i made recently:

I built it as part of the "MocAthalon" challenge thing that is running over on MocPages this month - clearly the last time i entered wasn't enough punishment, or i forgot how gruelling it was, or something. Silly me... Still, i might be able to get a couple more of my catagories to cross-over into GoH territory... wish me luck!

Btw, Gideon, that gatehouse teaser looks awesome! Lovely thick walls, it looks like it will be a decent size.

And welcome to RoyalBrickCustoms / Prince Themuell! Lots of coast for you to choose from to base your port in, or you could help expand an existing one of course. :classic:

So I was in Hamburg yesterday and it was my first time with the PAB wall; quite fun actually!

I decided to check how much I could fit in a small cup and this is what I got:

583 pieces total, with 150 pallisade tan bricks :)

Great haul, impressive amounts of bricks in one small cup. I've never tried one of those, I don't seem to be able to pass a Lego store with a PaB wall nowadays without filling 4-5 large cups...fortunately for my wallet we don't have any of those here in Sweden

I love tan palisade bricks, they are excellent for texture (I've never seen them on a PaB wall before, but that's probably why I could by some quite cheap on BL once). Just wished that we would get the brick with masonry pattern in tan as well...

I'm actually surprised there aren't masonry bricks in Tan and Dark Red already, since every second house here is made of bricks of either color :D

And apparently small cups are better value per piece, if you take the time to stuff them, because they are wider. I don't really think I want to do that again, takes too much time to squeeze a bunch more bricks. Next time I'll go for a "cross-like" plate/brick structure in the middle of a tall cup.

Personally I think that large cups are better if you're filling them with smaller pieces (without stacking), but larger bricks are better stacked in a small cup. I tried filling them with water, the big one holds almost exactly twice the small one minus a top, but two small cups are a dollar more.

I guess, technically the smaller one is better, since (suppose you were filling the cup with 1x1 rounds - which is what would work best) you can't fill the top and put it on without it spilling, and if you going to stack the small one is almost certainly better. Oh well, I still get the bigger ones!

You all have middle sized cups? I am like Gideon, I can't stop buying big cups... well until my wife says "that's enough!" At our discovery center (little Lego "theme parks" in malls ran by Merlin Entertainment instead of Lego) they don't have the normal cups at all, they have slurpie cups with the dome lids, but the nice thing about those is that you can bend the sides to get larger pieces in. Although they never have the best piece selection.

Hi mates,

Sorry for the long absence. And I fear it won't be better anytime soon.

I am working my megablocks off lately without getting paid (I really hate internships), I got a paper to write, my father is in the hospital and I got a girlfriend I have to give some attention to. So no Lego time :(

And I fear it will be like this the next 2 months...

Anyhow, I still have to post some MOC's I made a few months ago  And my plans for Mpya Stedor are so awesome, I fear it won't be finished within the next 5 years

I quickly looked to some recent moc's of you guys, they are really awesome!!

Good to see you back even if only for a few minutes. I know how it is with finding time for Lego at times. Also completely in the same boat as you and your Mpya Stedor plans with my Aden's Gate plans. I have several modules in various stages of production and should have one up here soon.

Great to see some sign of life from you DM!

Good luck with all those real life things, but I'm looking forward to seeing Mpya Stedor continue growing :classic:

Hey guys,

What are the "rules" about using Dextrus Flagg in our free builds and challenge entries?

Also, have the GoH leaders considered changing him to use more common parts (combos)?
