I hope to see the entire deck illustrated and if it doesn't get completed by the deadline I plan to try and complete all the cards eventually... honestly the card thing was a brilliant idea as this has more potential than your average challenge which will get buried and forgotten about within a few months (even though this topic did get burried pretty quick, I think that when it is complete it will be one of the more memorable projects of Kaliphlin)

We can always run a phase two in a few months to cover more cards. I am still debating pushing the date back since it got buried for so long and I have been so busy with the wedding I did not update who claimed what until today.

But for real, there are prizes, more people should enter!

I've got something nearly ready for the second challenge, but had a few questions:

- is it ok to have a border outside of the 10x10 size limit?

- is a bit of overhang acceptable (just a bit of landscaping here and there, maybe one or two studs over)?

This is a fun challenge idea and I think a second round and/or extending the deadline to allow more people to build something for it, is a good idea.

(Congrats on the wedding btw!)

Challenge 2 entry posted here.

I think this challenge got a bit buried under everything else going on in GOH - or are people just quietly working on some magnificent MOCs for it? I hope to see many more 'cards', and I'm really curious to see any challenge 1 entries as the concept behind it is very intriguing...

My entry for the first challenge, "The Big Day" showing a candidate being accepted into the city guard of Barqa:

If in this very moment the graduating guardsman would have had his fortune read, the deck would have shown the following cards:

  • The Cat: For growing up in the back alleys of the city and learning to catch rats at an early age to help feed the family
  • The Emperor (or perhaps Kaligem): Signifying his service to the city and the realm
  • The Sandstorm (or perhaps even Death): For the horrors in store in the Kaliphlin civil war...

My entry for the second challenge, "Card XVI: Kaligem"
