Governor Mister Phes Posted April 27, 2007 Governor Posted April 27, 2007 First familiarise yourself with Brickster's Wizard's Challenge. Click thumbnails to view larger image Click thumbnails to view larger image As I have limited castle pieces I decided to improvise with using Pirate pieces. For the workshop I created a pirate equivalent of 6020 Magic Shop, perhaps not a very original concept but given all the things I need to get done I don't really have the time to dream up some fabulous. :'-( Quote
oo7 Posted April 27, 2007 Posted April 27, 2007 Nice castle/pirate custumation, I'm sure it's acceptable plus it's creative and looks good. I like the Piratized Castle set too. X-D I made my wizard the other day and also gave him Piratical influences. You know what they say; great minds think alike. But remeber, he needs a name to be entered into the contest. Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted April 27, 2007 Author Governor Posted April 27, 2007 I called him Captain Majisto in the competition. But maybe we can come up with a better name in this thread. Quote
oo7 Posted April 27, 2007 Posted April 27, 2007 Oh. Somehow I missed that. :-$ So you're not happy with Captain Majisto? The first thing I would do is forget about 'Captain', seing he doesn't have a ship. Quote
SirNadroj Posted April 27, 2007 Posted April 27, 2007 Very clever- yours could win 'most creative', but it would have to beat mine! :-P Quote
Eurobricks Emperor Bonaparte Posted April 28, 2007 Eurobricks Emperor Posted April 28, 2007 Looking good Mr. Phes. You've made the first pirate-wizard. But the wizard seems trapped on that little island since I don't see a boat. Quote
SirNadroj Posted April 28, 2007 Posted April 28, 2007 Bonaparte has a point. Give him a little boat with a dragon for a figure head! Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted April 28, 2007 Author Governor Posted April 28, 2007 I can't really add more to it because then it would depart from the original concept of being the Pirate equivalent of 6020. Besides, he can easily cast a spell and shrink himself small enough for the parrot carry him :-D Quote
WesternOutlaw Posted April 28, 2007 Posted April 28, 2007 A pirate wizard! Only your doing Phes. Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted April 29, 2007 Author Governor Posted April 29, 2007 It was your inspiration that gave me the idea Mr Brickster! Without it there would be less pirate wizards in this world. Quote
WesternOutlaw Posted April 29, 2007 Posted April 29, 2007 It was your inspiration that gave me the idea Mr Brickster! Without it there would be less pirate wizards in this world. I think it's actually pretty good. Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted April 29, 2007 Author Governor Posted April 29, 2007 I'm just wondering if I struck a the right balance between pirate and wizard. I tried various combinations of heads and legs to get the optimum apperance, but unless I said he was a Pirate would anyone realise it was supposed to be one? Surely there's been at least one wizard with peg leg in past X-D Quote
WesternOutlaw Posted April 29, 2007 Posted April 29, 2007 Surely there's been at least one wizard with peg leg in past X-D I don't think so- but you've always been rather creative. Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted April 29, 2007 Author Governor Posted April 29, 2007 You lads write such nice comments but to be quite honest I don't think I've been very creative in terms of LEGO designs this year. For this MOC all I've done is ripped off a Castle MOC by removing the Castle elements and added the Pirate equvialents. The baseplate is just perfect and adds up to the overall nice atmosphere. *sweet* Yeah, that's one of the major deviations I took from the Castle set. I thought it would really set it off rather than using a yellow plate. Quote
