Blakstone Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 This is fifteenth week of Middle-Earth Madness. Mûmakil Stampede is the new winner, but can it continue it's reign? If you had to pick only one Dream set, which would it be? Mûmakil Stampede OR Dead Marshes Just like last week, these are dream sets so there is no hard or fast rule on what has to be included in either. Imagine you had a chance to greenlight just one LEGO Lord of the Rings set based on a simple description. Which one would you want? Summary from previous weeks: Week 14 - Mûmakil defeats Ruins of Osgiliath 12 to 8 Week 13 - Ruins of Osgiliath beats Bridge of Khazad-Dum 12 to 8 Week 12 - Ruins of Osgiliath defeats Edoras 19 to 12 Week 11 - Ruins of Osgiliath defeats Minas Morgul 25 to 7 Week 10 - Minas Morgul flattens Fangorn Forest 29 to 1 Week 9 - Minas Morgul smashes the Gray Havens 30 to 5 Week 8 - Minas Morgul routes the Modor Battle Pack 25 to 16 Week 7 - Modor Battle Pack defeats Amon Hen 27 to 7 Week 6 - Modor Battle Pack defeats Lothlórien 24 to 14 Week 5 - Lothlórien defeats Prancing Pony 23 to 13 Week 4 - Lothlórien crashes Mount Doom 35 to 5 Week 3 - Mount Doom defeats the Rohan Battle Pack 14 to 11 Week 2 - Rohan Battle Pack defeats the Watcher in the Water 14 to 7 Week 1 - Rohan Battle Pack defeats The Green Dragon 23 to 4. Have a Dream Set to nominate? Do so in this thread. I still have a few sets to go. [Moderators, can you convert this thread into a poll please?] Quote
Alfadas Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 Mumakil stampede. Don't care about a swamp, other then the pieces. So, Mumakil stampede it is again. Quote
Hammerhand Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 Mumakil. Although dead marches could include a fell beast.... But I'm sticking with Mumakil. Quote
LegoPanda Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 a mumâk or a fell beast, tough choice, in the mumâk set we could we could get some ithilin rangers and faramir, so i guess i will go with the mumâkil stampede Quote
Bugbot2008 Posted April 8, 2014 Posted April 8, 2014 Definitely Mûmakil, so much more potential for minifigure diversity and wow-factor. Quote
Blakstone Posted April 8, 2014 Author Posted April 8, 2014 I vote for Mûmakil as well. I can see some good Easterlings being included. If LEGO must, they can throw in another Legolas running up the beast. I doubt any other main character could be included. Quote

I doubt any other main character could be included. It could include Faramir and Gondor rangers, and maybe Gondor soldiers, if it was the scene from TTT. That would be the most ideal option in my mind. Quote
Blakstone Posted April 8, 2014 Author Posted April 8, 2014 Hammerhand, I would prefer that as well, but LEGO always like to fit a Gimli or Legolas in a set if possible. Quote
Infernum Posted April 8, 2014 Posted April 8, 2014 Bring the stampede! I'm all for the Mumakil! Quote

lord raphael Posted April 9, 2014 Posted April 9, 2014 Mumakil. Only if it included Gondor rangers. Quote
Blakstone Posted April 10, 2014 Author Posted April 10, 2014 So far it looks like this might be the first unanimous round. I would have done the Dead Marshes eariler but it was only recently nominated. I am trying to go from those in the least demand to the higher leaving Minis Tirith, Eowyn v Witchking, and Gondor Battle Pack towards the very end. Feel free to add more ideas to the Nomination thread. Quote
Steel Tiger Posted April 11, 2014 Posted April 11, 2014 (edited) I'll keep the unanimous trend going with my vote for mumakil. Edited April 11, 2014 by Steel Tiger Quote

Sorry that was me ... I agree it should have been in one of the earlier rounds, but I was late joining in and felt it needed to be included for completeness. But at least we have extended this fun exercise by another week Quote
