Nothing Posted August 12, 2007 Posted August 12, 2007 A FISH MARKET like described on the first page with shells and crabs and fish and possibly a new lobster piece sounds good. I also think a CANDY SHOP would be good. Comes with a little boy, female shopkeeper, lolipops like those in the shrieking shack set, a box of chocolates, and some actual licensed brands like Reeses and stuff. Quote
UniqueBuilder Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 Hmm, I got a new and better idea I could use for the contest! >:-) A Casino! A modular, two-story house in Vegas-style with lots of neons and other types of rubbish! :-P Inside there will roulette, blackjack, poker and pokeymachines! ;-) Comes with 3 employees, 4 players, 1 Mafia-boss and his two lifeguards! (of course it's run by the mafia! :-P ) Quote

Minifig Lecturer Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 I agree that a tram would be great, especially if they could somehow must string as immitation electrical wires. However I think first of all a tram would require new road baseplates, unless there is a way one could integrate the existing railway track and road plates without looking silly. I cant think of any. Klaus-Dieter Posted August 18, 2007 Author Posted August 18, 2007 (edited) Hmm, I got a new and better idea I could use for the contest! >:-) A Casino! (of course it's run by the mafia! :-P ) I thought of this idea, too, Unique Builder. But then I didn't post this idea in this topic because I thought (and even think still) that TLC would never release something like this because they don't want to give children sets to play which aren't hundred percent harmless for their wit. In my opinion that's inconsequent because if Lego would have bought licenses for James Bond films they nevertheless would have done a casino. ... But this shouldn't be the business of this topic - so here again one little idea: Newsstand a little newsstand with a sliding window including two racks for postcards, magazines and newspapers, some newspapers, magazines, postcards, some cans (for drinks), some sweets, a dustbin and some other nice stuff minifigs: female shop owner and old man with cane and dog Edited August 18, 2007 by Klaus-Dieter Quote

Dfenz Posted September 24, 2007 Posted September 24, 2007 There are some excellent suggestions in this thread to date. The one that caught by imagination is the shop @ home exclusive theatre. While it might be an expensive set a properly done 'cafe corner' detailed theatre exterior with red carpet and ticket booths, steps/ pillars etc. Once inside there could be a foyer with counters and elaborate stairs leading to a twin level theatre that obviously would need to be stepped. There could be a balcony (think muppets here), a 'producer area/projector area and plenty of scope for a stage, trap door, curtains, lights etc., obviously with a removable roof and an accessible back stage/ side entrance. Cafe Corner style lettering could be employed to showcase a Lego 'play' or musical. Plenty of seats would be a prerequisite for all those bored city citizens that are fed up with police chases and fires. David Quote
Markypops Posted September 29, 2007 Posted September 29, 2007 I have always foung it strange that in the town range of lego, that they have never went with the most ovious choice of minifig in the form of a bricklayer with his trowel. This would however fit nice in with the new impulse range that it is coming out. The pack could include minifig, trowel(new molded piece), bucket and a few bricks. Quote

Scouty Posted September 30, 2007 Posted September 30, 2007 I would think the mold would have been destroyed, melted, or just wore down by now and unusable. When did fabuland come out? Quote
Hinckley Posted September 30, 2007 Posted September 30, 2007 I would think the mold would have been destroyed, melted, or just wore down by now and unusable. When did fabuland come out? That set came out in 1986, but I came out in 1976 and I'm not worn down, melted, destroyed or unusable. :-P Besides, they still use a lot of molds that were from that time. A lot of UCS sets use the Fabuland wrench, for example... :-P :-P :-P Quote
