de Gothia Posted June 14, 2014 Posted June 14, 2014 (edited) It was almost like a dream. The family, who had fled their burned house and was scattered when fleeing now was in the same city. They came in different days and they all seeked a refuge. They all got the same advice from the locals, to seek up Coel, the doctor in the city. Coel was an old man, living next to his clinic. He had learned from skilled Kaliphlin doctors that cleanliness was the most important thing to make a sick body recover. That´s why his clinic was made of stone and had a lot of windows to wipe out the odour and the sickness from the rooms. When the rumours of the plague reached Calder, Coel was swarmed with people who thought they have it, knewed someone who might have it or was just worried how to not get it. Coel tried to help everyone and that´s why all refugees who came to Calder was sent to him. Peter and his aunt Marian was the first to came to Coel. He was kind enough to let them stay at the clinic and make sure Peter just had the flu. When they one morning got up and was ready to seek after their family Peter heard his brothers voices arguing about where this Coel might live! Coel who was busy helping a young lad who had fall didn´t pay any attention to the brothers. But Peter knew, they were here! And just behind Peter he heard his mothers voice. - My son! My son! Peter is that you! The family scene who took place in Calder was a true blessing! And when the father and daughter stepped out of an alley and was in the middle of their own beloved family, happiness was total. They were all reunited again! This collab was a real blast! Love to build stories like these! C&C most welcome! Kayne Posted June 14, 2014 Posted June 14, 2014 This is great dG! I love the layout and builds of these buildings. And a fun and great story to boot! Defending the coast http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=96677 There's my link if you needed it to mix into the group Quote
de Gothia Posted June 14, 2014 Author Posted June 14, 2014 Thanks Kayne! Ups! I just copied your list so that´s why your wasn´t there! Fixed! Quote
Kai NRG Posted June 14, 2014 Posted June 14, 2014 Great work dG, like the angled side of the grey house especially! Good job finishing the story off! Is it bad that I like the back of the house better than the front? For some reason I think it really looks great! Quote
Thomas of Tortuga Posted June 15, 2014 Posted June 15, 2014 Great builds, and really nice conclusion to the story! Quote
TheUtilityBelt Posted June 15, 2014 Posted June 15, 2014 Loved this collab story guys! I like the buildings and mini fig posing! Great job, dG! The balcony is great. Quote
robuko Posted June 15, 2014 Posted June 15, 2014 Fantastic conclusion dG! The minifig posing is especially good in this build, and the buildings are very nicely done. The red curtains are a very good detail. Quote
Lord Vladivus Posted June 15, 2014 Posted June 15, 2014 Awesome! I always love see your urban builds DG! Love all the details and the fig posing! Quote
Gabe Posted June 15, 2014 Posted June 15, 2014 Aw yes.... great conclusion dG, your minifig posing really sells the emotional reunion, and your beautiful buildings make the perfect backdrop too. Love the curved end to the grey building, and i agree with Kai, the back of the street is as nice as the front! Btw, that colour on the house is med blue, right? The saturation is like woah... at first i thought it was azure! Quote
Yooha Posted June 15, 2014 Posted June 15, 2014 The mother hugging her daughter is really good. The whole collab was great fun planning and doing, thanks everyone for being part of it! Quote
Scaevola Posted June 15, 2014 Posted June 15, 2014 Great buildings, especially the stone one to the left Quote
de Gothia Posted June 15, 2014 Author Posted June 15, 2014 Thanks guys! Really glad you liked it! Kai: I also like the backside the most! =) Gabe; Yes, it´s med blue! I just love all these new colours you can use for the houses! =) Quote
soccerkid6 Posted June 16, 2014 Posted June 16, 2014 Superb town-scene, the building are excellent and the figs really bring the scene to life. I like the layout a lot, especially the curved end on the house, and the archway going through the buildings My only critique would be that the stone section in the blue house looks rather unfinished at the top (the section in front of the chimney). Really cool that all these different builds were linked by a story too Quote
MassEditor Posted June 16, 2014 Posted June 16, 2014 Wonderful job dG, you guys have really created something awesome with these builds and story. I love the buildings here, many details to gawk at. The way you curved the west end of the building is very nicely done. I'm glad to see a happy scene too in these dark times! Quote
Garmadon Posted June 16, 2014 Posted June 16, 2014 Awesome build and great way to end the collab Excellent work with the buildings - like Kai, I really like the back Quote
de Gothia Posted June 19, 2014 Author Posted June 19, 2014 Thanks again guys! SK, you are right about the tower thing! Now it feels like a roof of some type would be a better option... Quote
Bregir Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 Great wrap up to a great collab. The minifig posing is so very dramatic, and I love the use of CMF bases for roof - I have been looking for a use for them for a long time! Quote
Gunman Posted June 21, 2014 Posted June 21, 2014 Lovely modular style once again DG. I really like the roof from the black building. Those arches work GREAT... Sweet work there....! Quote
MKJoshA Posted June 21, 2014 Posted June 21, 2014 I love that you organized a collab for your side of the contest. This is a great ending to the story. And what a build! Your stuff is always top notch and this is no different. Fantastic! Quote
de Gothia Posted June 21, 2014 Author Posted June 21, 2014 Thanks guys! Bregir: I can´t take credit for the roof but I love the result! =) MK: Well, my name was in the collab and I built the last scene but Gabe, robuko, kai with other are the real heroes of this collab! They were behind the whole thing so credit to them!! Quote
kabel Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 I really like your houses and have to admit that they influenced my building style quite a bit too! Wonder what your city looks like these days with these new cool additions! Quote
