So when a half-mad bard from Kaliphlin offered his services, they were ready to give it a try. Against all conventional wisdom, he said the town rats were the villain. "But never ye mind laddies, they love mah sweet music so much they will follow me anywhere" claimed the bard. And when he started to play those pipes, the rats did get up and run. But it seemed the were running away from his music, not towards it... Anyway, there was no more cases of the plague reported in Brevis after that. It is a nice build, but I could find no weird animals or crazy demi-gods....but then I saw the face of the half-mad bard and started laughing. It looks as though you are wearing your influences on your sleeve with this build - elements of it remind me variously of deGothia, Capt Beerbeard and Kabel, but with your own twist, like the interesting half-arch gate. This is all I know about mediaeval plague so I thought there would be more builds on this motif! The curvature is a bit lazy to be honest, I wanted an effect similar to what Gilbert did, but without putting in the work, I don't think it was that successful. Those rats! I would have done the whole thing as a round wall but I don't have many grey cylinders. I like the walls and the quirky gate! Thanks Carson, this was just a quick sketch. I found some brown mice the other day and I really wanted to use them because they would give a better contrast, but they seem to have run away or been eaten by the cats. And I thought this type of restrained build would fit in nicely in Avalonia. I have to say, that Baxter head is just the best! Definitely my next sigfig or a major character. Ok, then more light most probably will reduce the noise as the cellphone certainly increases the ISO-number to compensate for low light in order to not get too long exposure times... Quote
