Disco86 Posted August 19, 2014 Posted August 19, 2014 (edited) One of my entries to the Episode VII of SoNE, check out the complete story in this thread. Our two protagonists recieved a new objective. They should try to find Boba Fett and give him a notice from Darth Vader, because he wants to thank Boba for his nearly successful work so far. The mission sheet describes Boba's route nearly exact, but will he really be anywhere out there ? How to find somebody, who does not want to be found ? The first planet on the mission sheet was Fondor, so Markus and Paul travelled down there. What a weird planet. Well I like the technical design, but why is everyone bald ? Maybe we should start an hair transplantation enterprise here, if we fail in the army... Greetings imperial soldier, what brings you to our planet ? We are searching for a bounty hunter, wearing green. We heard he may be on Fondor these days ? I heard something about this person. A friend told me, he engaged one of these naughty guys to search for a client with enormous unpaid debts. I think these poor guy is living in the slums of Ord Mantell, if he is not dead already... That's the information we needed, thanks and bye ! Edited August 20, 2014 by Disco86 Quote
Yzalirk Posted August 19, 2014 Posted August 19, 2014 Wow, this is an awesome scene! And those minifigs are just amazing! Quote
MKJoshA Posted August 19, 2014 Posted August 19, 2014 Fondorians! You've got the perfect look for them! I love all the details you have here, definitely looks like an industrial planet! And I'm noticing some familiar architecture... Was that on purpose? If it was I feel honored. If it wasn't, than I feel foolish for mentioning it All in all, this is a fantastic build! Quote
Disco86 Posted August 19, 2014 Author Posted August 19, 2014 Thanks so far guys ! And I'm noticing some familiar architecture... Was that on purpose? If it was I feel honored. If it wasn't, than I feel foolish for mentioning it That was definily on purpose. I thought your rounded roof structure just matched perfect to my Fondor architecture. You got a great idea with that ! Quote
Pointblank Posted August 19, 2014 Posted August 19, 2014 Another awesome use of SNOTs and great capture of the overall Fondorian look! Quote
MstrOfPppts Posted August 19, 2014 Posted August 19, 2014 What a nice choice of the consistent blue color to revitalize the grayness of the MOC! It's got a ton of details and looks very clean and smooth. I think that this entry looks the best of yours. But I do think that the building is too small. As if because of the restrictions, you would just resize it to fit on the base. Especially I find the balcony far too narrow to be functional. But else, as said, looks very nice! Quote
markus1984 Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 Yes, great work paul! The Fondor minifigs are absolut great, the house and the base is great too! markus Quote
Disco86 Posted August 20, 2014 Author Posted August 20, 2014 Wow, really like how much postitive feedback I get on these "simple vignettes" here and on flickr. This one was the first I built, and then the vignette-virus infected me But I do think that the building is too small. As if because of the restrictions, you would just resize it to fit on the base. That was exactly my aim. I wanted it to look a little bit unrealistic, because it makes a "cute" vignette. But no problem if you don not prefer this style. Usually I like to build in realistic compared sizes, but then I need more space. So I adapted my style on this. Quote
Wat Tambor Posted August 21, 2014 Posted August 21, 2014 Nice build Disco! I really like the choice of colors and somehow it reminds me a bit of the movie "TRON: Legacy". Quote
Donnie Bricko Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 Great color choice with the blue, it really makes this vig visually appealing. Nice Fondorians too Quote
Manx Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 Great work! Very nice greebling and colour combination and nice figs too. Quote
Jacob Nion Posted September 26, 2014 Posted September 26, 2014 Great colours. It would be great to see a bigger moc with this style. Quote
