Disco86 Posted August 19, 2014 Posted August 19, 2014 (edited) The story about Markus Montari and Paul Brickstorm at SoNE continues. The story so far: Join the Empire - Markus1984 Recruitment - Disco86 Swearing In - Markus1984 Foreign System - Disco86 Last Firing Exercise - Markus1984 Invasion Preparation - Disco86 The Invasion Begins - Markus1984 Endor Construction Site - Disco86 Mission Endor complete - Markus1984 Back from Endor - Markus1984 Short overiew what's awaiting you this episode: Our two protagonists recieved a new objective. They should try to find Boba Fett and give him a notice from Darth Vader, because he wants to thank Boba for his nearly successful work so far. The mission sheet describes Boba's route nearly exact, but will he really be anywhere out there ? How to find somebody, who does not want to be found ? The first planet on the mission sheet was Fondor, so Markus and Paul travelled down there. What a weird planet. Well I like the technical design, but why is everyone bald ? Maybe we should start an hair transplantation enterprise here, if we fail in the army... Greetings imperial soldier, what brings you to our planet ? We are searching for a bounty hunter, wearing green. We heard he may be on Fondor these days ? I heard something about this person. A friend told me, he engaged one of these naughty guys to search for a client with enormous unpaid debts. I think these poor guy is living in the slums of Ord Mantell, if he is not dead already... That's the information we needed, thanks and bye ! So they got back to their ship and programmed the coordinates of Ord Mantell into the board system. Puh, do you smell that ? That is really disgusting... but look over there. Looks like on of these bounty hunter hideouts. Get off my lawn !!! Calm down, we are searching for Boba, have you seen him ? No, I can't remember anything. Maybe some credits would help me to think about it. Hmmm, sounds fair, doesn't it ? Don't waste our money on that scum, we are going to find him on our own... stormtrooper-like ! But they could not find him on their own in the wide junkyards and wastelands of Ord Mantell. Checking out the next possible location seemed reasonable, beacuse after three days of wandering through Ord Mantell, Boba for sure was not here anymore. But this time they preferred to take their blasters with them, nobody could know what they would meet at Felucia. I stepped on something... uargh... that is slimy... That plant here is even worse... I think it is moving... Is it going to pinch at us ? Let's get outta here ! It's like a foliage nightmare ! Well, the "short trip" to Felucia wasn't really a success. But why should Boba rest here longer than one second ? No chance to meet him. But finding him on Mon Calamari sounds easy, with so many water there couldn't be so much places to hide. Yeeeehaaaa, that speed boat ride is fun ! I am just enjoying the fresh air, that may be good for my health. Want a glass of milk ? Or some vegetables ? Everything for your health... So you know where he has been ? Yes yes, Boba was visiting a bar yesterday. He was having a delicious fish menu, but after dinner he disappeared. At least it is a chance. Yes yes, a good chance to eat the healthy fish menu. But as you may guess, there was no trace of the well known bounty hunter. So they decided to travel to Tatooine to tell their Staff Sergant, that there was no chance to complete the mission, even if they tried "so" hard. That end of the mission is so depressing... Take it easy, we get our paycheck anyways. Gotcha ! Whut ? Greetings Mister Fett, we got a mission to hand over you this tha--- STOP THAT ! I already recieved a ton of your thank-you-cards Mister Nobody, can't see them anymore. So get out of my way and leave me alone ! That was rude, but well... mission complete ! Let's just throw these card away and tell our Staff Sergant we delivered it. Let's go to get our paychecks and then we may visit the cantina. Edited August 27, 2014 by Disco86 Quote
VK-318 Posted August 19, 2014 Posted August 19, 2014 Um ... I think this is in the wrong forum? It's supposed to be in Watto's Junkyard. This is your contest entry, right? Quote
Yzalirk Posted August 19, 2014 Posted August 19, 2014 I love the storyline, it's entertaining. But I agree with VK, I think this should be in Watto's Junkyard. And there are a few misspelled words by the way but no biggie. Quote
Disco86 Posted August 19, 2014 Author Posted August 19, 2014 (edited) The contest entries should be posted each in a seperate thread, so I created a new one to combine all the builds with each other I am going to reread it, to correct misspelled words... Edited August 19, 2014 by Disco86 Quote

Nom Carver Posted August 19, 2014 Posted August 19, 2014 An awesome combination, a proof of your building skills. Quote
MKJoshA Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 Yes, this is the right place for this. Great job writing a story to fit them all together! Quote
Lord Tyrus Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 Love the story, all of the are brilliant on their own, but together they really shine! Quote
MontyPython Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 Nice to see some story with those great MOCs! Quote
markus1984 Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 Wow, absolut great presentation of the challange MOC`s. My "prehistory" builds are also ready and the next days i write the story. Can only say stunning work on all MOCs! Fantastic details, story and photos - well done! markus Quote
Disco86 Posted August 20, 2014 Author Posted August 20, 2014 Thanks for all your comments ! It was really a blast to build this small vignettes And good to see that now, after posting the complete story, everybody understands why I made that extra thread. Quote
BEAVeR Posted August 21, 2014 Posted August 21, 2014 Amazing work, Disco86! Seeing all of the vignettes together really makes apparent how varied they are. Still, they all have the same amazing Disco86-quality. I will comment on the separate MOCs in their own threads, but I already want to say they are all really, really good. And the fun thing is, that while they're so diverse, they all belong together. The idea of using a consistent base (reused in markus1984's entries, I see!) was great to tie it together, and I like the symbolism of the 'two blasters', intentional or not, that really indicates that this is a story of two persns. The story is also great, with some scenes with little text, but a lot of power, especially comically. But great job at building industry, wreckage, vegetation, water and desert! And even more amazing if you consider the tight time frame you're in with the Iron Builder. It's great to see you still took time for SoNE. And I'm glad you did, because the result is amazing (it's a pitty you didn't succeed in getting the seed part in more of the vignettes, that would have really helped you and would have given us something to search for). My only general remark about the builds is that your minifig posing tends to be a bit stiff. The torsos, for instance, are almost always upright. And a lot of the time, minifigs are standing on one leg, while the other one is hovering in the air. A simple tile would solve this small reality-issue. But still, I'm thoroughly impressed by these creations. Glad to see you are so enthusiastic about SoNE. And I'm enthusiastic about your building: Quote
Disco86 Posted August 27, 2014 Author Posted August 27, 2014 Thanks BEAVeR for your comment, and also for blogging my work I didn't want to overdo the IB-thing, so I build just one with the part. And also I want my IB-builds to look as different as possible, so no way for two similar SW-Vignettes. I am definitly thinking about your criticizm about the govering leg, definitly gonna change this. I have not recognized it, but now looking at all in one thread, it really looks kinda werid how all the time one leg is in the middle of the air  Quote
