vitreolum Posted August 25, 2014 Posted August 25, 2014 This particular breed of giant wolf roams the deep woods of Avalonia. Lazy and proud, it's not particularly aggressive unless provoked or hungry. They are usually trained and used in arena fights, or the guard dog of choice for certain guilds. And I'll stop here, I'm already sounding like a bad discovery channel animal tv show. Quote
monsinjor Posted August 25, 2014 Posted August 25, 2014 Awesome. everything is perfect here. It could/should be an official set. Great work! Quote
grum64 Posted August 25, 2014 Posted August 25, 2014 Awesome. everything is perfect here. It could/should be an official set. Great work! Couldn't have said it better Quote
TheUtilityBelt Posted August 25, 2014 Posted August 25, 2014 Very smooth, but so you know, I like Disc Channel... :) Quote
vitreolum Posted August 25, 2014 Author Posted August 25, 2014 Thanks! There's some thing that wouldn't work in an official set, like the binocular connection as they are quite fragile. @TheUtilityBelt32 Haha, for me the voiceovers are extremely cheesy in these shows. Quote
Yzalirk Posted August 25, 2014 Posted August 25, 2014 Very nice mount but my only dislike with this are the paws and how they're two claws. Other than that, it's very awesome but couldn't the tail have been a bit pointier? Quote
TheUtilityBelt Posted August 25, 2014 Posted August 25, 2014 Hah! They are cheesy, but I'm pretty good at ignoring the world as that's what i do. I just watch and not listen! Quote
vitreolum Posted August 25, 2014 Author Posted August 25, 2014 @Behemoth Thanks. I will always go for two claws to avoid making feet two stud wide, can't stand them that way. As for the tail, I have to limit myself to the parts I have. :) Quote
mccoyed Posted August 25, 2014 Posted August 25, 2014 Great work here. One of my favorite entries into Mount Up easily. Quote
Kai NRG Posted August 25, 2014 Posted August 25, 2014 Great job here, especially with the shaping and love the hints of dark red! Quote
Gunman Posted August 25, 2014 Posted August 25, 2014 Very beautiful entry and presentation. Well done dude! Quote
Scaevola Posted August 25, 2014 Posted August 25, 2014 Great creation, very well posed and executed wolf Quote
Jorrith Posted August 25, 2014 Posted August 25, 2014 Definatly one of the best entries so far, very well done sir! Quote
Maxim I Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 Very nice looking Vitreolum!! I like the use of the binoculars! Quote
Rolli Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 Great beast! I'm totally in love with the head The bricks used seem so obvious yet I would never have used them in this combination.. I need to remember this for future builds, thanks for showing! One technical question though.. The black bar on the head: 3 studs long or is it a cut flex tube? Quote
Yzalirk Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 One technical question though.. The black bar on the head: 3 studs long or is it a cut flex tube? I'm pretty sure it's a flex tube because you can see how it's hollow inside. Quote
vitreolum Posted August 28, 2014 Author Posted August 28, 2014 Thanks! It's a tube http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=75c02 Quote
soccerkid6 Posted August 29, 2014 Posted August 29, 2014 Magnificent wolf! The piece usages for the eyes and ears are very clever and effective Excellent SNOT rock base too Quote
Gideon Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 (edited) Excellent creature! You have done a great job making the proportions of the wolf just right. I love the tail and the ears! Edited August 30, 2014 by Gideon Quote
