Quality controle has gone high ? Well, 4 months ago, I bought a megablock set to make a joke to the EB eventees. It was a spiderman one. Crapy plastic, the bricks wouldn't fit together properly like they should. It ended up being trashed and detsroyed by some EB fellows. And I don't find them THAT cheap when you see the difference in quality.

Problems spoted.

Well the day we wrote the statement and I hit the "implement" button, I thougt "nobody will read it, even though it is only 10 lines of text". Guess I was right. Why 18 ? because that's the legal age for being an adult in most European countries. We were also fed up to read some kids posts spamming around with "megabluck" written every two words. Then we were fed up with the kids who were offended by reading "megabluck" and who were showing the website to their parents, then asking us to erase those words from our website (real).

I won't spend 1 second of my life searching for a spammer who sent an under aged puritan some perverted emails. Your email can be traced from anywhere, and it probably doesn't come from any lego website. And btw, this kind of crapy emails mainly occures when you browsed some XXX websites. I think I should send an email to let your mum know what you're doing :-/ Spam on I'll reopen this topic so everyone can sharethoughts on how lame it is

This is weird, because I think I know who is who by the picture taking skills, and yet I find they are somehow reversed. MOC 1 got my vote as it has this great robot on wheels. It's bad for MOC2 cause it would have got my vote if it didn't have all those colors mixed up :-P

It's an intentional play on word. You used to boo everyone. Hence the booing.

I second that opinion, try to avoid painting your figs and use stickers (even though you seem to hate them). They are easely removable, so no harm could be done to your bricks. @ hinckley : the described products not only removes the paint you used on the model, but also removes the original lego paint :-/

Well the major improvement with the rc is that you can add rubber bands to the wheels in order to help your train going up hills. On the other hand as stated by Hinckley, it's not as powerfull as the old ones. I'd go for 9v as it will cost you less on the long run (no batteries). You can find endless topics on EB about the switch to the new RC system. Initialy, TLC argued that it was made for cost reduction and more affordable sets. I remember many people (including me) saying that there would never be any down in the pricing. I think I never made such an accurate prophetie in my whole life X-D

Well it depends. The price is a tough one. On one hand, games like WOW have a monthly fee, on the other hand the age of the players probably won't be the same, and I doubt an 8 years old boy to be ready to spend on a game very month.

As I never registered to BS, I don't have all those problems, so I'm deeply sorry for those who lost (at least for the time being) their work. On the other hand, let's face it an instant : BS was risky. Puting all your eggs in the same basket, with the eggs of other people, and pray for the thing to run smoothly forever is never a good alternative. So even though L2k's post might sound harsh, I think he is right in a way. He understood the first rule in the computer world : it never works fine. You always need a backup. Edit : Shit, I just realized we lost all our events' pictures ! Raaahhhhhhh, why oh why ?
