We also have one job, whereas in the USA a lot of people have 2. But still, lego speaking, we cannot afford as many Lego sets as people in the USA. Especially when I see sales on Xwings for 20$... This will never happen in Europe :'(

If I might add a comment : selling the head only won't work as good as if you were selling the entire minifig :/

Oh yeah... I forgot to mention that I didn't create these. The link came from a wench I was chatting to on MSN Messenger... I made her have fond memories of her LEGO and she began sharing links to LEGO related things with me. This was one of them. The rest of them were cutsey stuff... But she's got Pirate LEGO so she must be pretty decent. And she loves her LEGO monkey. So much, she wouldn't give it to me! Darn! Ahah, that doesn't suprise me at all ! Was she australian ?

I have to disagree. I made finance and economics and nothing logical, even oil can explain such a huge difference. There is a real problem here. Having this kind of price difference is not possible, especially since the difference should be the same for all the sets then. For this one, there is a particular gap

Yes, it never works. that's what i studying in my business school. The price isssue is much more important for Europeans than it used to be. Unfortunatly Hobess, Time will show you were right. I think Lego was too proud of remaking profits. They must have forgoten it was because the sets were nice AND affordable.

Yes, I can still see you telling me 170 euros at the restaurant the other day. This proves they put the 170 price tag on it while eating... Imagine the scene... Lego Rep : "Hey how much should we sell the Sandcrawler ?" Lego Mkting Resp : " Well *schrounch schrounch* I think that 170 euros would be good. it's not like if they had technologies that would make them aware it's 140 dollars on the other side of the world" Lego Rep : "you said it bud. Well I thought lego had learn the lessons from the past mistakes, but obviously not. I'm sure that with this price policy, they will soon shrink, at least in Europe. Nothing justify such differences in Prices, not even taxes...
