  1. Nah! It's just getting late
  2. Well it wasnt "the set". The Event Kit was "Space Hotties" and this set was an extra exclusive handed out along with the Event Kit.
  3. Yes "Space Hotties" will be done tomorrow, as will "Droid Cantina" from this year's Event.
  4. Brickworld? BRICKWORLD? BRIIIIICKWOOOORLD!! They're not from BrickWorld. They're from the Eurobricks Event held every year.
  5. It's..erhm...printed.
  6. Didn't you read the review? It's a Sandcrawler, I just didn't get all the parts. And calling LEGO Direct for replacement parts haven't given me anything
  7. Set#: EB003 Set Name: City Bum Parts: A bum and his acessories Price: Not ever for sale Amount: Limited Edition - 20 sets ever made Designer: KhoRne Box: The box is just like the other Eurobricks Event boxes. Brown and round with a label depicting the set and set name. The Set: A nice little set with a bum, his backpack-stick, a beer bottle, a trashcan and a bench a.k.a bed. This also has a certificate: City Bum pre YMCA: City Bum post YMCA: This set was handed out as an extra. We got the EB002 "Space Hotties" as the Event Kit, but this one was an Event Exclusive and given as an extra-extra I recall this being the winner of a contest on making a City Impulse. - But I wont bet my hat on it.
  8. Set#: EB001 Set Name: Midnight Build Parts: Quite a few, most were rare at the time. Price: Priceless Amount: Limited Edition - only at the event for the eventees. Plus one lucky modelbuilder Designer: CopMike So, as I am shuffling through my closet, sorting and cleaning, I stumbled upon my collection of Eurobricks Event Kits. And the first one to start it all off is this one: The Midnight Build handed out as part of the Event Specials during the Event in 2007. This particular set was designed by CopMike and it made quite the ruckus when he handed them to us. Set and box next to each other. I don't recall if we got any instructions for this vignette or not. But at least the box has a nice picture that would at least inspire the build Without much further comments, I'll share pics of the build vignette: Now you might wonder why this set is named "Midnight Build", but it's fairly simple. At least as I remember it. It's all about our hobby. When we get a new set that we've been anticipating for a loooong time. Then we lose track of time and we build all the way through the evening into the midnight. In this particular vignette depicts the building of the Sandcrawler. - Yes I know it's a very small sandcrawler on the desk. But sadly my set was missing a few parts. As you can see the AFOL is using the ol'-tools-of-the-trade - Coca Cola and chocolate to keep the mind sharp. So sharp that he's forgotten to water his flower Yup' it's for real. Aren't you just sad you didn't go and didn't get this?
  9. Nor did I, until it landed on my doorstep today. And you're welcome.
  10. I actually made this index to improve on the way we look upon the clone brands. Some of them actually have quite useful parts. My Wolverine fig wouldn't be the same without the claw-hands from the megablocks Wolverine So do by all means post your clone brand reviews and let's discuss the copy-cats in a mature and reasonable way.
  11. Today the mailman...erhm...woman rung the doorbell and handed me a parcel from the US. I wasn't aware or couldn't remember that I've placed an order for something, so happy as a little kid on Christmas, I tore the parcel and pulled out the contents. To my surprise it was the Adam Reed Tucker Brickworld Commemorative Event Kit. Set name: 2009 Brickworld Event Kit / Commemorative Event Kit Set designer: Adam Reed Tucker Links: Brickworld, Brickstructures, Brickshelf Price: Unknown Parts: 107 Release: Brickworld 2009 Box photo: A very nice way to pack a small set such as this. I wish TLG would release sets this way. Just the smaller ones though. Instructions: The instruction is printed as a little folder with some "easy-to-follow" steps that lets you know which exact parts to use. Real Life Version: This is the building as it looks in 'real life'. Brickbuilt Version: All the way around the Westin Hotel. The 4x2 printed brick on top of the building is awesome. It seems (according to the instructions) that it originally was intended to be a plain 4x2 white brick. Not that it's that bad - it can always be replaced. The Brickworld 2009 Minifig This female minifig was included as well. Not sure that it belongs in this set, but it sure is pretty - and special. Final verdict: I guess it all comes down to wether or not you like micro-scale buildings. I like'em, but I never took the time (read money) to purchase the other sets that Adam Reed Tucker designed for LEGO. Though after getting this, I might reconsider getting them. I think it's an awesome idea having someone like ART design the Event Kit for Brickworld. It's nearly as good as the designers we have making our Event Kit here on EB. (Kits that I'll be reviewing over the next few weeks). What's your thoughts on this?
  12. No no no. I was merely trying to point out that.... It's just that over the years I've been getting tired of all the 9/11 topics and religious topics that from time to time surface here. This is a LEGO fan site and not the site to discuss such matters as politics or religion and the consequences of those. I can easily imagine this topic turning into a political issue and I wanted to prevent that. Of course you can honour someone who's died... Sorry.
  13. Thanks for sharing this contest with us. The intention with 'Watto's Junkyard' is to keep all EB Star Wars contests in one place and therefore I'll move your topic to the Ambasassadors' Forum - You are an AMB afterall Best of luck to all who enter this fine contest.
  14. He wasn't a large political figure where I live. Let's refrain from thinking that this is a US-only site please.
  15. So with the present uprising and wave of non-LEGO reviews around here I suggest we keep a small index in here. Post links to your reviews here and I'll update this first post to contain them all for future reference. 16. My bad, but then again I never pay much attention to his posts
  17. And I have a feeling that they're printed.
  18. This sounds like a General LEGO virtual design discussion and therefore I'll move this to another forum.

    But it's made by MegaBlocks?
  20. From Formula1.com Hamilton: Whitmarsh: A perfectly understandable reason for why it went wrong. Good to have the Silver Arrows back on top though.
  21. Dunno if you guys have seen this: But it looks like the Tantive IV has transclear cone parts with printings instead of stickers
  22. When deeplinking images, you need to click this Or just add the [img=URL] yourself. And that'll do just what you're looking for. Remember to deepclick the picture if you are deeplinking from Brickshelf. - click the picture twice from the BS folder.
  23. I so hope you're right
  24. Good one! A very skillful vignette. So many small technical details.. great job.
