    Good photograph quality, though the angles a re bit harsh. Maybe try giving us a bigger "over view" type shot. The Avalonian figure looks very nice. Good combo on him. I know you are a bit behind everyone else since you joined AV recently, but just collecting titles isn't the point of the mini-challenges, it is to sharpen your skills and grow as a builder. I know you said you were aiming to be a MOC superstar like dG, but if you look at his High Chief of Agriculture build, you'll see that his builds really do enhance his skills, and don't just help him collect titles. Like I said in the Avalonia post, I don't really get this one as a representation of agriculture. It looks like a shrub farmer to me or something. Check out dGs High Chief build, and one from another one of our ace builders to see what I mean.

    Some good points Beerbeard. In a sandy environment, the terrain looks a bit boring without more elevation and the like. Moving the dark tan layer down and mixing up the elevation could help that out some. The trees do look a bit short, and where are the palm trees? I guess I am not a desert tree expert or anything, just curious. I like all the action and how you posed the figures. The pictures are also very clear and in focus, good work there. I would also recommend cropping some of the photos though. The third picture especially. Looks like the Hand of Corruption is everywhere! We better prepare for war!

    You are correct. Only the three scored builds must meet this size restriction. You could have a larger story build, but if it were me, I would really focus on making the three builds awesome before tackling something larger. Also keep in mind that 48 x 48 stud area is the restriction, so non-square bases that meet that same size are okay too. 32 x 72 for example also meets the restriction.

    Haha! That does sound like you Beery! I like the yellows just because I have so many more faces/expressions with them. I do agree that the fleshies make MOCs look more "real", but since LEGO and the GoH are fantasy, whateves!

    Nope. No time limit on completion at all. To earn gold for Avalonia, I would think they would need to be done before June, but after that, you are free to add any time.

    A Quicky? We don't do quickies for Albion! Wall texture is nice. I like that there is some landscaping. I like the attempt to get a nice solid background. But what the others have said is right. Albion walls should be MUCH taller. 25 bricks tall on the inner sanctum and 20 on the outer walls. This isn't anywhere near that! Your pictures are also slightly out of focus. Three tips on that: 1. use more light. 2. Use the camera timer setting so that pressing the button doesn't make the cmaera move when the picture is being taken and 3. for close-ups use your camera's macro setting. The point of the guilds is to improve your skills and get good feedback so that you can become a power house MOCstar like dG and soccerkid, not defend your creation from comment. I suggest you don't defend your build and instead take in the critiques to become a better builder!

    Good work on thinking about the background and getting us a nice, blank canvas to view. Looks like the build needs some more work though. A storm trooper helmet, an exposed baseplate without any foliage, a mix of colors, these are all things that could take us "out" of the MOC. My suggestion would be if you don't have a big brick selection, that you focus on one thing and build it really well. I see three torture devices here, perhaps cut back to just one and put all your efforts into making that awesome.

    Yes too big. Here is a section of tutorials including one on resizing, but if it was me, I would use Flickr instead, it automatically resizes your photos for you and you can choose the 800 x 600 photo.

    Flash MOC? What is that? I do love the little cottage. Looks solid like a cottage in the harsh winter should be. Very cute.
