  1. Well I won't get into your dislike of 2008 LEGO (I loved last years sets!), but I do have one question; what about Module City? I've been waiting for this for ages! Did I miss it? Eitherway, good luck! Try to drop in and say "hi" to the LEGO community (not just here!) once in a while.
  2. I agree, but we didn't write the board! It annoys me too. I can look into changing it, but the problem is that it makes it hard to patch the board later on...
  3. Errr... nothing according to me. Their site is still live.
  4. I own the set and, ignoring the Two-Face figure, nothing is especially rare or expensive.
  5. K-Mart have 15% off this week. The picture shows the new Indy and Technic sets. (Both lines are over-priced this year so 15% puts them back to last years prices! )
  6. Indeed! That's really odd! One bucket is enough for me! I love this set plenty... but I'm concerned about the price. (I forgot to say I gave this set a 4...)
  7. Great review! I'm no more or less convinced than before though. No! TLG know it's wanted, so I wouldn't be surprised to see a similar part soon.
  8. Indeed. This topic is in danger of being closed.
  9. Very true. When the dollar was around 0.90 I tried to buy the sandcrawler, that's when I found out the rule. I'm often annoyed that there isn't a TRU near me... but then I hear their prices! I was hoping to get the Republic Transport though...
  10. I did an order a few days back... but with postage from Hobart it would have been expensive anyway. Darn... I'm not sure if I would have bought it anyway though, as it's mostly the red ninja that I want. Yes. I was caught our last order too.
  11. Construction Site. It's on my list! MTT and the V-19 would be my advice, largely because the MTT will be gone soon. (I have both.) Well if you want both I'd go for the Fire Station as I can see the police station being around longer... but I think the Police Station is better. However it really depends on your collection. I have too many cops and firemen these days so the next station might be my last... I'd buy 10193. It's much better bang for your buck and the old pirate sets IMHO are overpriced...
  12. Ahh! But I think he's missed one of the major points; technology. Not much point building a giant ball if it can't move or go bang...
  13. Can we? I've tried in the past but they don't ship Lego to Australia. Am I wrong?
  14. I'm confused Mr Ras.... Do you mean a real Death Star, one of the sets, building it from parts or what?
  15. I only do big orders and/or sale items to counter that. Even so, for shipping a large box from Europe it's pretty cheap.
  16. Happy birthday all! (And bonus well wishes to svelte_corps!) I find the texture a bit odd...
  17. That's how I got mine. I saw it in my local K-Mart last month, but your mileage will vary...
  18. OK.... let's calm down here a bit. I think we've all said our point of view and going any further will just escalate the issue. You're only saying that now...
  19. Personally I'm not a big fan of websites targeting localities. If there is a language gap then it makes more sense, but otherwise I can't see a reason unless it's only a local issue, such as a sports team. But that's just my opinion. Hobart's worse, but I'm considering moving to Victoria.
  20. I've already got two forums to watch over. I have no interest in a third!
  21. I'm impressed. My first thought was, "I bet it doesn't fit a MTT"... but it does! And it has an interior! This photo... ...in particular hightlights how huge it is! It's a shame it can't be swooshed! Do you have any grey parts left? (Your other stuff is pretty good too!)
  22. Sorry I've take so long to get around to looking at this... It's vast! I love the look of the entrance in pic13 and the snow is surperbly detailed. I hope he does the right thing and saves the guyThe beacon itself is very nice, although it doesn't seem completely forgotten. Curved walls are interesting to make and I like your method. I don't think I have enough wedges to do it though! I'm surprised you break these so fast! I'd keep something like this together for at least six months... but I too would break it in time. Does (did?) the top and bottom front caves link to the rest? Eitherway, great work! I tried to build a hill for the advent calendar, but I was woefully short of parts, even though I only needed the front and one side... (Hopefully we don't have to wait so long for the next part... )
  23. This set is so beautiful, and it has loads of great parts too! My final decision will have to wait until I see the Australian price. I love the outside shots! Thanks for the review.
  24. Great story! In most cases TLG will know if there is an existing problem with the set. For example there was a batch of AT-ATs that had the wrong pants for one of the figs. In that case it's easy to get a replacement. Other than that it can be harder.
