  1. No you're not, otherwise you wouldn't have made the topic... But keep it low key and don't promote it in random topics and it'll be OK. (iamded is right; your link is broken.)
  2. Great work! You're really churning the MOCs out latley! They look great together (possibly too good... but I suppose that happens in towns) and I'm glad that you've made another elevated building. I'm especially glad that the Brewery is still in business. The Star Wars print is a great touch; I love to use old prints and stickers where possible. Nice lift too; does it stay parallel when lifted or does it droop to the side while lifting? I wish TLG would bring back a piece like that... The air-conditioner is cool! The mechanic in blue is my favourite figure and I'm impressed how well that Harry Potter top works. What's next? Is the back door just a bit of fun or do you have plans?
  3. Tell that guy to lay off the wrist curls and get some balance! He'd have a killer handshake though...
  4. Who didn't do it would be the better question!
  5. Happy birthday guys!
  6. I agree! The most recent one that I can think of is the Mobile defense tank; the box shot shows the front tracks structure with a axel cross-brace. The final model just had pins. There are a few other recent cases I've seen, but they slip my mind.
  7. I hide mine under the Emperors throne platform in my Death Star.
  8. Indeed it's not; please don't turn this into a spam topic...
  9. Due to the nagging of a nameless individual I've pinned this topic!
  10. Ahhh well, it seems pretty official now that Mars Mission is dead. No point having this pinned now.
  11. We have a topic on paper here, and there's an index here.
  12. Welcome! We can never have too many Australians here! Me too....
  13. I've never heard of any for any of the LEGO track systems. Are there? When I made my Mobile Still I just kept adding until it fit and spun well...
  14. Thank! ...but as the old saying goes all good things come to an end and this is the cut-off for sending in the addresses. Before everyone PMs me, there are three people who didn't send and they have either mentioned they didn't want the prize or they haven't been on-line for weeks/months. If that fits you then feel free to nag me, but otherwise please don't. We've waited long enough it's not fair to the people who did send their addresses fast. I would appreciate it if people posted here or PMed me when their prizes arrive.
  15. Nice bulldozer... but you're not being fair. Bulldozers come in all shapes and sizes. Like this one... ...or even this one! TLG chose to use the newer tracks, and thus it ended up this big. They could have used the old tracks and made it half the size and just as realistic.
  16. Like this one?
  17. Thanks for the great review! I'm a bit iffy on this set; I have the Techinic Bulldozer so this is just a cuter version of it. It's too big for easy city integration too. The problem is I really like it... Thanks for making my life harder! (While I love the Indy story, I think you should have went for Arthur Dent... )
  18. Well I'm late, but Happy Birthday just the same!
  19. I've done it before; the trains seem to work better due to the friction. I don't have any of the old points though...
  20. It's OK. I will be glad when all of this is over though! Thanks to everyone who responded. Very true!
  21. Great idea! As Hinckley said, TLG really messed up this one... and gave up too easily. Even so, I wanted to buy some but they weren't even available to Australians... Nice isn't it? I have only a few...
  22. Ahh! Well a camera like that will never give great images, but you should be able to do better with practice. Maybe you should take Skelotic's advice! (Please don't be offended by our advice; we're just trying to be helpful.)
  23. The problem is most are very out of focus. If you put something behind the subject when you take the photo, like a piece of cardboard or a LEGO baseplate, you'll have much better results. Processing the image later can't fix problems like that... unless your name is Rick Deckard.
  24. I wish! The ideas books were always great... My wife took the pictures and that was the best. I realised after that I wasn't quite right; head to the wrong side, and my left hand was too low. But I'd already bothered her enough so I decided to make do. Thanks for noticing! I try to go for a mixture. If my MOCs aren't strong enough to play with then I re-build! Often yes, but it seems that this years sets have less parts; the Power Miners are a good example. TLG do seem to be shying away from too many sets with 1000+ parts. I know the feeling. I've been buying Mission to Mars sets and marvelling at the design aspects, prints and part selection. Indeed I would! I'll send you a PM!
  25. Never underestimate the amount of room in my bucket.
