  1. So even though my rant is true, he was right anyway! I need a holiday...
  2. That's what I expected; thanks. Annoying, but not a deal breaker. The problem is that the forum doesn't resize the images, the browser does. Thus the images are downloaded in full, then resized. Good luck in the test! Actually you're quoting the wrong person, I just said they were on the back... ..but this is the guy you should be lecturing. I bought plenty of Exo-Force sets... but I must admit that I only built one alt model and no combiners.
  3. Ouch; I can see a chipped tusk in my future!
  4. True to his name, Dr Lucky has a new Power Miners set. Find the 8960 Thunder Driller review here!
  5. Thanks for the review! I'm really looking forward to this line. It's nice to see combiner models on the back. How well does it roll on smooth surfaces? Any chance of some shots of the new drill and wheel pieces? (I wish your images weren't so huge though...)
  6. While I do appreciate the love, you have missed my meaning, so I'll put it another way. Look at post 21 and note the time of the matanui911 quote; Dec 14 2008, 04:08 PM. Now note the time of the actual post that it's quoting, that is post 20. Unless you live in the same timezone as VBBN the times won't match when obviously they should. For me it says Dec 15 2008, 08:08 AM. This is because the times given in post 21 are the same no matter what your time zone is as they are stored as a block of text, not an actual time or any kind of dyanamically updating data. (A similar problem occurs when a member changes his display name.) This is where matanui911 read the time, and assumed that it was because VBBN's clock was wrong, and where I said; Get it?
  7. I used a modified version of a program called Versus. However, in the interest of having a calendar with pictures, I have excluded members without an avatar as a main winner... and banned members and new joiners were excluded from any prize. Main winners are picked first, and avatar-less members win a lesser prize. Aside from that, the selection was 100% random. No advantage was given to, for example, long term members. 365 names, 72 prizes, so around 20%. Pretty darn good odds for a freebie IMHO. If we run this next year I bet we'd have more entries; for that reason I'd probably automate it with php rather than do it based on posts. (I can't see this being done next year. )
  8. It's still on topic. That would be bag building. Whose?
  9. Interesting choice all things considered. It's safe from me until April.
  10. You need a holiday! Supposedly it is celebrated here as well, but I'd never heard of it...
  11. Is there a difference? Valentine is coming up and it's in the past...
  12. That's a mistake... but I wonder if they honour it...
  13. The funny thing is I changed you to "New Years Pirate" yesterday, but someone has already changed it!
  14. Well that's just stunning. This could be the first Pirates-Technic crossover ever! Pneumatic Pirates! I'll try to find the time to look at the rest of your pics.
  15. Ooops! We sent it here.
  16. Update time! If you sent me your name and address prior to the 15th and your prize is not a Jedi fighter then your prize should have been sent. (The Jedi fighters will be sent in one batch next year.) I'm still missing 13 addresses, and 4 names. For people from that land known as the USA; be proud of your country and mention it as well, not just your state. There is afterall, for example, more than one New York... Indeed it is.
  17. Wonder no longer!
  18. They work very well together. I didn't realise that the lights (?) were helmets. I think the whole turntable as a texture is getting old fast, but maybe that's just me... Are you working on a surface rover? I am, but I haven't made any progress for months. Indeed it does!
  19. Sure we did.
  20. Please guys; when you have a question about the forum look in Website & Forums first! If you did that you would have found that topic 2 was about this very issue. (I'm going to merge this with that topic.) The staff have better things to do than answer the same question every day. You're confused. The time mentioned in a quote is based on the quoters time, not the quotee's.
  21. Possibly in a few days. We need more time to isolate what is causing the problems. Too much change at once gives horrid data...
  22. You weren't the only one! The Jedi fighters are to be sent in one batch next year, the others are sent a few days after the addresses are received.
  23. Yes. I've been using them for years without any major problems. (One person who bought something off me claimed it was an accident and got a refund, but that has been my only problem.)
  24. Spaceman snefroe has reviewed the new Crawler Crane... and he's made me want it! Find the 7632 Crawler Crane review here!
  25. That's a lot better than I thought; I expected the truss to be one piece. Darn, I might have to get this now! He said he got it for 40 euros...
