  1. Thanks for the odd review! This set, like all Ferrari sets, is on my "sale" list as they are generally over-priced. (I've bought 4 sets that way; most of them half price!) Your photos look better than the box shots!
  2. Yeah, it's pretty old news so I merged it with the other topic. I have no plan to pay that much per-minifig.
  3. Yes. You and svelte_corps are going well. I'm actually very pleased with the voting. I was concerned that people would just vote the same in story and MOC. Thanks everyone! At this stage I'll close the poll in 2 days.
  4. You know guys, Eurobricks is an AFOL site and while we are flexible, making topics about your hard life as a kid when most people here joined agreeing they were adults is more than a little bit odd. If this keeps up I may have to start making topic of "When I was a boy" and I'm sure nobody wants that. This was also in the wrong forum so I moved it...
  5. I've seen it and I liked it. Since I normally don't like Superman this is remarkable! (I've read the book too and it's decently close considering how much they have to compress.)
  6. Thanks for taking the time... but it's old news. In fact eBay is flooded with the sets now thanks to the recent sales... I'll merge this with the recent Aussie sales topic.
  7. Well sort of, but you aren't the only one. Not a prob; it's my job afterall!
  8. It was over until you revived it... Let's move any futher discussion on this issue to the topic I mentioned. That way we can stop spamming up this topic.
  9. Well it seems that this is unclear so I will say it again. Posting in old (3 months or greater) topics is 100% OK if you are adding to the discussion. Common sense however should prevail; don't drag up old topics just to say "nice MOC", and don't expect a reply (or make replies) to any member; even if they are active they probably have completely forgotten about what they said at the time. Also, reviving an old topic just to be insulting to a MOC, review or comment is probably going to get you in trouble. On a similar topic, if you aren't a moderator, don't act like one.
  10. Don't stress. Since it seems to be unclear I will try to clarify that topic today.
  11. Indeed it is. As a new member you aren't supposed to be buy, sell or trade on this site either...
  12. Yes. They did when I ordered Green Grocer.
  13. If you look here you can find in a few clicks all the sets that came out in that series. (It wasn't just Star Wars.) I suspect that it wasn't a money maker... but they are worth a bit now!
  14. These were sold in three mini-fig sets. They weren't sold individually. What you show is a set; I have it too. I bought them at the time as I was in my Dark Ages and was too old to buy sets...
  15. Yeah. The Australian price just changed to $629.99. I have pre-ordered two copies already, and have the invoice.
  16. As it turns out, this issue was discussed recently. Right or wrong, it isn't your place to point out peoples "mistakes". Since you have no authority here it is more likely to cause problems than solve them.
  17. Indeed. Now does this mean it means anything or not? That's what I thought. That and making loads of money off over-priced mini-figs...
  18. So what are you saying? I doubt SirNadroj would lie about this, and I can't see him having visons either. It is possible that they were removed. Errr... no. Pirates of the Caribbean is nothing to do with it. Disney do not own the rights to generic pirates in any way, shape or form. Just "Pirates of the Caribbean". I think it's too vague... and they could just be customs.
  19. If you're going to revive an old topic, please make sure you have something worth saying. For the record, the blue colour is correct; they always were meant to be blue, but due to blue screen matting they were darkened. (R2 looked grey in many of the original shots too.) Thus it isn't just artisic license on the part of TLG, it's how they were intended to be. You're not a moderator. Please don't act like one.
  20. Mindless? It isn't just the cutless; the helmet in the Indy set, the captain hat in the skeleton ship... It seems to me that LEGO are re-making old molds and are using early copies in sets.
  21. Wow! More proof that I am right. That's three signs; Old pieces returning A pirate shown in a group of generic figures in an Indy Lego comic ...and now this! Now do you think I'm right Mister Phes? Thanks SirNadroj!
  22. Yes. You might be surprised to find he goes by the name of Saber-Scorpion. But you might as well go to his site as I don't think he visits much; last time was three months ago.
  23. Ahhh... I see. The whole point of that was it might be my one and only chance to see that set. It was the first thing that sprung to mind aside from opening and assembling it there and then.
  24. Err.... this makes so little sense that I'm going to close it.
  25. Sorry if I gave the wrong impression; I have no interest in buying 10179 unless it's under $600 AUD. I was just reporting stocks to give people an idea of demand.
