Blurry but better!
-
Well, yes as this is a LEGO site, but it isn't offensive...
-
I like how you can find the good in the bad... Any idea how it started?

Your current one is too good! -
No. It's for the 2009 Eurobricks Event.

I believe the account was Tom. I can recover it for you if you like; just send me a PM.

Soooo i accidently orded a replacement piece
Siegfried replied to Darth_Legois's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I'd EMail them about it. As xenologer said, they probably will tell you to keep it, but it would be the honest thing to do. How did you accidently enter your address? -
Year Released: 1976 Piece Count: 53 Minifigs: 2 LEGO brought out floating boats quite early, and in many ways the first were the best. (I'll explain why later...) This set in particular is interesting as it came out in two versions; one that includes the first minifigs and another that included the non-armless type. (Set 709.) The police signs are stickers, and are in surprisingly good condition considering the age of the set. (I am missing one sticker on the front though.) Note the Technic Bush and Axel; they are the old type. The position of the second figure is not a mistake; I think he's supposed to be sitting down.... The first boats out by LEGO needed a weighted keel to prevent them.... keeling over. (I have tested this!) I suspect this is because of the density of the old hulls and the flat bottom... but I could be wrong. (It can't be just because of the flat bottom as the new cargo ship doesn't need one.) The keel in detail. The bottom extension is for a motor. (Not included, nor made by LEGO at the time.) The keel had longer studs. Even now it holds extra firmly. This is why I prefer the old design. You can extend or shorten the hulls as you please, or even insert other LEGO in the middle. You can easily add wheels or any other piece to the bottom of these hulls. I wish they would go back to this idea; the 4+ hulls were of this concept but were too wide. (Probably so the keel wasn't needed.) The old minifigs aside from having odd feet and no arms had a normal stud as the neck. Thus when you turn the head it tends to come off. I love this set!

Thanks for the extra review... and for giving me ideas with that fendora! I haven't bought the Joker as I don't like the hair, but that is a nice solution! I bought it last week at BigW...

Perhaps, but it is a fact that in the original form it had a scene with someones testicles being removed with pliers... But as I said, I seem to be the most concerned here (and I have discussed this with the rest of the staff) so don't bother running it by me. Feel free to post away... even if you do the testicle scene! But please don't get me wrong and think I dislike all violent games; I'm playing Assassins Creed at the moment which is hardly a nice game. Manhunt just seems to be violent for the sake of being violent and just isn't my style. In Australia we have a maxium rating of M for games, so anything R or above is banned. This has meant that games such as Manhunt and even Leisure Suit Larry: Magna Cum Laude were not sold here. This really annoys me as I don't see why we can have R movies but not R games...

Well that wasn't what I expected! I'm confused as to why they wouldn't let you post it...

Yes. The ABS is sourced from cracked bourbon.

Butane is part of Natural gas, but Butadiene can also be cracked from oil or ethanol.

I've been watching this one and I'm stunned at the price. I wouldn't pay that...

...and you should because I am serious. I went back and read all the posts and somehow I missed yours... -
Thanks for the comments. I tried to think of a different one, but I ended up going for clarity! I plan to make another.. Well you can use it if you want, but I still like the one Hinckley did for you.

It seems that it's just me who has a problem with Manhunt. To me it isn't a matter of it being adult content, more that recently it was deemed unsuitible for anyone by most of the world prior to it being toned down. Not my style of game, but perhaps I'm just too old. Google is your friend. Where have you been living to not know of the strong feelings that The Brick Testament can bring up? Even his post here caused some debate.
-
Nah, it's just the colour; I don't use the flash. I will be revising my photo setup soon... I say neither; it is supposed to be silly.
-
Manhunt eh... The game that needed to be tweaked prior to release to avoid an AO rating in the US. I can't say I like the idea... and the Brick Testament is a special case with it's own controversy. Please run images by me or another staff member prior to posting.

Thanks everyone for your comments. Not a chance! Those "floaters" are gas turbines; can't you tell? Why else do you think the efficiency increased in the Boglands? Think man! Think! Yes.. remember that aside from the beam exchange this is just built from parts from the set. I might design better engines later, but my short term plans for this is just for background. He helps with loading. Can't you see him on the refinery? He's called Golp and no one knows where he was from. His race could be Golp, but no one really knows. I think it could be the case! I've never seen another.

That's looking stunning already. Any reason why you're building it inverted? -

You could start by telling me how well you get on with BlueDog.
