CONTEST: Design your own Indy Movie! DISCUSSION
Siegfried replied to Siegfried's topic in LEGO Licensed
Navy Trooper Fenson Nice stupidly huge entry... but you seem to have forgotten the "no more than 10 mini-figs" rule; I can count at least 20... -
It took me a week to read this... and another week to get around to posting about it! Thanks for this Episode Hinckley; I really needed a re-cap. I am horrid at remembering character names... Roll on the finale!

Oh my. With me buying the Death Star I'm a bit maxed out here. After months of no good deals they are all here at once... -
I know; I got it for a song on eBay. Most 1970s sets don't seem to be in much demand...
-
I think these topics are silly. Just buy what you can afford and what you like!
-
...and $150 AUD! Has TLG at last checked the exchange rates of something?

I just went though the entries and I feel motivated for some reason to remind people of this rule... I might note that this isn't just a competition rule, it's a site rule. I'm not grumpy enough to disqualify entires... but I will probably end up taking a few votes off any one with an image above 1000x1000. The reason for this rule is simple politeness; people want to be able to view the entries as fast as possible, and they can't if they need to download 12 2000x2000 images. Remember, there's still over a day to reduce the images. Aside from that one complaint I can't see any other problems and I'm looking forward to the voting! -
It's probably an IP thing. It doesn't work for me either and I can't be bothered using a proxie! I'll check it later; I hope there's some wallpapers.

CONTEST: Design your own Indy Movie! DISCUSSION
Siegfried replied to Siegfried's topic in LEGO Licensed
To avoid any time zone confusions, there is 2 days to go as of this post. Tomorrow I will go though all the entries and confirm that they conform with the rules. Thus it could be smart to check back here in the next day or two to ensure that your entry is good. Thanks everyone for entering. -
After the Indy contest is over I should be able to make some good progress. I moved your post; please don't post in the index. It will be added to and having posts between index pages will make it unreadable. I'm struggling to find the LEGO angle to "LEGO Idol". Make it into a comic and maybe...

I can confirm that the UCS MF is in K-Mart; in Newtown they had 4. (I have heard that each store is getting 4.) Stocks of the AT-AT are good there, but if someone here takes mine... I can also confirm that they don't taste particually good... ...nor do they respond to sexual persuasion. Gee man, one little typo. You knew what I meant... -
Isn't this the Australian sales topic?

Town Hall is there too! -
It was only $45 for me, and since I ordered one for a friend as well it's only $22.
-
I just ordered one for me and one for a friend! Wahoo!
-
Your title makes it look like Hinckley approves the site when he just approved the topic!

I think you answered your own question; most people you knew probably left as you did (maybe ever because you did ) and are doing other things. I went back to live in my home town after being away for about 10 years and found that little was like I remembered. Internet communities change faster as it's so easy to leave. and EB is no exclusion. Communities are never a constant. So yes, the EB you knew is dead, but a new one has replaced it. In six months it be different again. Some will like it, some may not. I may even be gone after eating some bad clam or something; who knows? It's all part of life, and I love it!

Great work; especially the IG-2000. ...and... er... sorry I deleted your cool signature; 2.5MB is just too large!

What game are we playing at the moment?
Siegfried replied to Mr Hobbles's topic in Culture & Multimedia
When I first played Serious Sam I laughed my head off. The insane amount of enemies and the guys with bombs for hands who run at you screaming, becoming louder and louder the closer they got just blew me away. It was such a fresh game! Duke Nukem is due soon. -

Crisis Core. I even bought a PSP just for it! So far it's great and the graphics are stunning. -
I don't know. From what I have heard those boxes were issued to the stores and were later sold and/or given away. Anyone who was there at the last one?
-
Yeah... A total of six given away per store. What will they do with all the abused clones afterwards? They'll be of no use to the Republic; just think of all the mental trauma!
-
RebelRock at FBTBForums.net has posted news of a new clone speed build contest! It's at all LEGO stores.

Thanks for posting. It's a big list of surprising (mostly) good questions. Most of them were obvious but I'm glad that my opinion of one issue has at last been proven; Why there are no black minifigs? When the minifigure was first introduced 30 years ago, it was given the iconic yellow skin tone to reflect the non-specific and transcendental quality of a child's imagination. In 2002, as more licensed properties were added to the assortment, the decision was made to introduce ethnic and skin tones more in keeping with the actual characters and personalities who were being replicated. This included the introduction of black minifigures. However, these ethnic minifigures are only used in our licensed sets, all Lego playthemes continue to use the generic yellow face.
