  1. DC Universe comes to EB! LuxorV has done reviews of the three new DC Universe Super Heroes sets; Find 4526 Batman, 4527 Joker and 4528 Green Lantern... but wait, there's more! There's also reviews of the Hero Factory sets 6216 Jawblade and 6293 Furno! Find them all in the LEGO Action Figures forum!
  2. It's a bit different with Apple. Like most good tech companies they have to work closely with the manufacturer to ensure the finished product is exactly how they want. Thus there are many prototypes, checks, trials (in pubs), tweaks... and so on. But a book doesn't need that. There are clear print standards and you just have to pick one. Chances are the prototypes are done locally. So I don't really see the comparison. On the other hand, TLG do need to work closely with the parts manufacturers, so if this happened in one of those it'd be a different story.
  3. So we're your billboard are we? You could at least ask permission... although the answer probably would have been no since that's all you seem to make topics for. I'm moving this to community.
  4. Yeah, but he's fat!
  5. It's on again! For more details go to the official contest page but I will say that those bikes aren't just for decoration; they are the prizes!
  6. Your three last posts are in this topic advertising your site. Looking at your other topics I'm starting to think you're here mostly to advertise. For now I'll just close your topic, but please note that next time I'll consider this a spam account.
  7. I've updated the list to cover the first four days; that'll keep it going till the weekend! The Primo Boy unleashes his Evil bucket trap Thanks. It's nothing special, honest. While I do it here (and professionally) I'm not really a web-programmer; I've got more experience at low-level stuff. No huge hurry yet. CopMike is out of town. I really should clarify (again) that the prizes might not be evenly distributed. That is there might be more "A"s than "B"s.
  8. It's time! Are you a winner? No? Well don't worry it's just Day One, and there will be 96 winners so if you entered you've got a 80% chance of being one! To find out keep track via the raffle calendar and the official EB SW X-mas Raffle 2011 topic. Good luck all!
  9. OK, we're live! Long term EB members might remember how this works (and may have even went looking for it ) but for the rest; The winners are revealed daily on this calendar. This calendar is automatic; prizes are revealed according to EB time. (There's a time display in the rules section of the Calendar.) All winners (and just the winners) need to PM CopMike your name and full address ASAP. You need to send your real name (or at least part of it) and your country as well for correct addressing; if we send letters to CloneKiller it may not get there, and many towns names (such as New Town, Bridgewater...) are used all around the world. The prize displayed below the collumn is the one you'll probably be getting... probably! Send a PM if you don't want the prize (for whatever reason) and we'll pick someone else. There are a lot of prizes... and thus it's possible that a mistake might be made. Please don't throw M&g# Bl@ks at us if we can't send exactly what we want. This is a give-away afterall. You are allowed to do swaps with any other prize winners. The winners need to arrange this with each other via PM and then both of you need to tell CopMike via PM ASAP. (This rule might be changed so don't count on it!) The first day is up, and Day two will be revealed in about 11 hours. Right now I've only programmed it up to day 2 as it's been a killer working week for me... but I should get around to adding another one or two days tonight. If not, the names will say "VOID"... If you have any questions or if you notice any problems with the calendar bother me here or via PM; CopMike is away for work reasons at the moment. Good luck all!
  10. Can't handle the volume? Permissions? Who knows? (If someone does know please tell!) But it's just one more reason that I'm not very excited. I doubt that would be possible.
  11. Well there's an easy solution; release the first two. I'd love both.
  12. I knew that and I'm still not excited as I can't buy anything. Until I know things like pricing (including postage) getting all interested seems rather premature. The site is really slow and it all looks unfinished. For example; Somthing? Sercive? Honestly did they hire a 5 year old kid to write that page?
  13. I like the idea, but since none of the "winners" can be bought by me it's hard to get excited. When one wins that I can buy then I'll start caring.
  14. If you're going to do a warning like that do it in the subject. In either case, please be considerate and don't post big images.
  15. Ooops! That wasn't Star Wars... Take two, and sorry for the rushed photo... I think I might be missing something but with the blast shield down I can't see a thing!
  16. Christmas giving
  17. Isn't this 8258? It doesn't look like 8265 to me...
  18. I still miss you.

  19. I've merged the topics. There's no need for people to tell you, it's in the guidelines! Looking at your ten posts, I'm pretty darn sure you're here mostly to promote your site, which you've already done in your first post. I figure that you then tried to add a link to your sig and found you couldn't... Anyway the way I see it you've already advertised your site and considering the way you've posted over the last month any more would be spamming. While on the subject, I don't see EB as being any different or more "serious". FBTB has a very similar stance.
  20. Stunning photography! Well I didn't expect that. The scale seems perfect! I was a Fellow at around 500.
  21. So how would one say "AEOL"? Or AUOL? Personally I'm not a big fan of AFOL, but I think fan is appropriate. IMHO "Fan" is more used for "fun" things. Looking at your example, neither are particularly fun. I, for example, consider myself an Android fan... almost even a fanboy. (Almost as I'm probably going to get a Windows phone next, but that's off topic. ) It makes sense; smartphones are fun! Music is fun... and LEGO is fun too... isn't it? When I was in the navy I was surprised how we often referred to ourselves as "pussers" and I resisted using it... but in time I accepted it. It's just a name afterall. I'm all for fighting convention when appropriate, but sometimes it's wiser to just call a spade a spade. Otherwise communication becomes rather hard. But I wish you luck in your holy cause.
  22. Cut and paste posting eh? I'm closing this. My suggestion is give it a try yourself if it's so urgent. At the least you should have explained why it was so urgent.
  23. Indeed he was, and he didn't even offer thanks. I'm going to merge the topics and hope that Cutler Beckett learns some manners ASAP.
  24. Very cool! So are the engines mechanically connected?
  25. One of my favourite aircraft is the V-22 Osprey... and RalphS has made one! LEGO tilt rotor perfection!
