Shadows of Nar Eurbrikka — Introduction and Discussion
MKJoshA replied to Brickdoctor's topic in Nar Eurbrikka Archive
It will be more fun if you transition your characters over. I don't think we've talked specifically about making new ones, but I'm pretty sure it will be allowed for those that want a change. Teams will be for sure changing now matter what. -

Yes, SoNE 1.0 is nearing a conclusion. We have to finish the Endor episode first though so you can still get in on the action! Leadership is still working on the details for 2.0. But we will be set after Episode 6, sometime around the battle of Jakku. If you've read the books think Aftermath time-frame. I've been building into builds like crazy for the launch and I'm very excited when we can reveal more to you all! -
It's true that you can use LDD. Black Sun was only for 1 episode. The only two running teams are Rebels and Empire. And right now the Empire has the most active builders so I would recommend you join the Rebels.

It's not too late! You can still join the Rebels! (Really, the game will still last for a little while.)
-
Updated! Both the Rebels and Empire are on squares with both Forest and Plains. The Empire has received a bonus that will hinder the Rebels next week.

As long as there is no direct link, you're fine. -
Sorry for the delay this week everyone! I've been crazy busy at work. I'll try to get things out later tonight.

Thank you and sorry! In fact, I may have missed even more than that. I think I put "The Viper" when really it should be Golden Dragon. Can you fix that for me pretty please? Thank you!

@Phred In the Jan Summary sheet, the ship Clearance still needs to be moved from Bastion to myself for ownership and upkeep. Also, it's still showing that I own Darting Frog even though that ship sank last month. I've submitted a form to try to unlicense it. The list also doesn't have my Komodo Dragon that has been sailing for 2 past MCRAs. I resubmitted the license form. Can you make sure I didn't get double billed? Thank you!

My build has been added for my next chapter of the AMCRA.

[SR - AMCRA FB4 Oct] Uncharted Jungles
MKJoshA replied to MKJoshA's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
It had been hard work recovering the chest. Captain Sulu had followed the directions on the map and they had led to his spot. His men had been thrilled to uncover a giant chest. They didn't understand the writing on it, but they were sure a great treasure must be inside. What Sulu wasn't counting on were the angry natives. Sulu ordered his men to mount a defense. Whatever was in the chest, if the locals didn't want to give it up it must be worth fighting for! OoC: I'm choosing the "Risky" choice. -

This is a great first build! Your trees have some good texture and I like the sand you added by the water's edge. -
[SR - FB1 Jan] The Trial of Sinbad part 5 (the conclusion)

That's all the trial was meant to be, a reaction back to your demand for the Sea Rats to be held accountable for attacking COR ships. -

I didn't use any specific Corrington players in any of my story. You are more than welcome to display random Sea Rats in your builds. I know you all feel like I've dishonored your nation through my depiction, but I've purposely written a story that can be explained away as just a few less morally astute Corrington citizens. -

I agree. Except for the part I crossed out You can still join the Dark Side! Alright, so if I say it was an ESL court everyone's happy? Done. It's not unreasonable. In fact it's very pleasant of you. As Kwatchi has put so well, it's that it is impossible. We aren't a legally organized body of people, we are a loosely associated confederate. You can certainly attack us. We just don't have to like it. And if whining about it gets everyone to stop attacking us, haven't we won? -

MKJoshA replied to MKJoshA's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
The builds were only ever meant to define my reaction. You do realize that if you follow through with this ideology, you would end up in a world where no one could be held responsible for their actions because you can't have anything happen to a person's character. Therefore all IC characters are immune and only NPCs can face consequences. Attack me if you want. It's your right within the game. I'm just here to have fun. -

But this isn't real life. This is a game played with a child's toy. Is there no room for Sea Rat stories in BoBS? -
[SR - FB1 Jan] The Trial of Sinbad part 5 (the conclusion)
MKJoshA replied to MKJoshA's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Please know that my builds have been meant as a humorous way to respond to what's happening in the BoBS world. I've never meant to insult Corrington, I just wanted to display how a Sea Rat character might respond. I openly admit that my faction and myself have attacked other nation's ships. This is allowed and even encouraged in the BoBS game. Corrington is just as allowed to retaliate by attacking Sea Rat ships. If you haven't been doing that before now then "thanks," I guess? From the beginning of the game I assumed all factions would choose to attack a Sea Rat ship if they met one during a MCRA (unless someone had a private agreement such as what is between Mesabi and Kwatchi). In Character and Out of Character gets so confusing. I'm sorry if there has been undue problems because of that confusion. Out of Character I find it humorous that Corrington wants to huff and puff against the Sea Rats for being pirates. In Character I'm just trying to show how my Sea Rat character could respond in a Sea Rat-ish way. -

MKJoshA replied to MKJoshA's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Yes, I checked Corrington along with the other nations. If I don't check anyone, how do you expect us to make a profit? Sea Rats as pirates are a functioning part of BoBS. If the game wasn't designed to allow Sea Rats to play the pirates, we would just have 3 factions and allow NPCs to be the pirates. Corrington's complaints are that the Sea Rats are playing their designed part of the game. If you don't like that, don't play the game. -
I would like the past and future up-keep of this fort to be moved to Bastion.

The Sea Rats and I do not want war with Corrington either. -
Previously: Chapter 1 Chapter 2: Sinbad the Pirate Hang The Rules Rescued Shipwright Shipwright's Office The Komodo Dragon "Because They're Pirates!" Fish Market The Trial of Sinbad The Trial of Sinbad part 2 The Trial of Sinbad part 3 The Trial of Sinbad part 4 As I have proven, my client has done nothing wrong. Objection your honor! If you object, please tell me what wrongs you still charge this man with? He attacked Corrington vessels! A fact that is not denied, but has also already been proven to be allowed and sanctioned and can therefore not be a wrongdoing. But he sank our ships! An unfortunate result, I can assure you. My client would much rather have captured them. But this has also been shown to be an act of my client performing more adequately on the seas than your Corrington captains. Just because he is better at his job you would want to declare war on an entire people group? Nay sir, this also cannot be proven to be a wrongdoing. But his actions caused the deaths of Corrington men and the financial ruin of others! And Corrington's taxes have caused poverty to many who could not afford them. And Corrington has also had vessel sink under their guns. Nay sir, as I've already proved, if my client is to be judged on his character qualities you must look at the sum of them, not just his most recent naval excursions. Well, I think the jury has heard all they need to make a decision. We'll allow them to be dismissed to consult with each other. ... Your honor, we've reached a unanimous decision. We find the accused Sinbad to be not guilty of acts against Corrington. Very well, Sinbad you are free to go. Court dismissed! You can't do that! I believe he just did. Good day sir. ... A short while later... And here's some cash for you. And some cash for you. Well that does it for the Jury. Well done Hamilton. I never doubted your lawyering skills or your bribing skills. It's the least I could do as a thank you for saving my life. Where are you off to next? In spite of having "won" this case, my spies tell me Corrington is still outraged at my actions. I intend to try to lay low. "Intend"? Well, Sea Rats will be Sea Rats. I'm not trying to attack Corrington ships, but I also can't stop sailing. It's my livelihood. The End

How is it that a settlement can't afford the upkeep of their own fort? Bastion is a Town but only gets 70 DBs a month. A Small Fort is running anywhere from 73 to 607 DBs.
