Factions - Introduction, Discussion, and Core Rules
MKJoshA replied to goatman461's topic in Factions Archive
Hey everyone, we're ramping up to some fun things for Factions in the coming months! One of the things we're doing is trying to make information easily available to all players. So I'm updated the Player Index with separate tabs for each Faction, the overall IPs for each faction by planet, and a color coded map! Go check it out and let me know if you have any suggestions. If you don't see a photo next to your player's info it's because you didn't provide a link when you filled out the Character Creator form or because the link is dead. Please PM me if you have an updated photo and I can fix that for you. @Moff Wibbles, you requested to be on Darth Bjorn's team. @MouseBricks you requested to be on Commander Beltar's team. And @Steven the toa of flight you requested to be on Commander Beltar's team. Is that all still accurate? Next, in case you haven't noticed, we have a main challenge going on! -
All entries for Cat D should fit within a 16x16 size. Some overhang is allowed.
-
I've updated the 1st post with a link to Dragons on Wookiepedia. This isn't the final authority on SW dragons, but it gives you a good place to start looking if you need inspiration.

[Factions Ep. 5 Cat. D][M12 - Byblos - TT] A Symbol of Loyalty
MKJoshA replied to Darth Bjorn's topic in Factions Archive
This is amazing! I saw it on Instagram and immediately knew what you were building for. The shaping is excellent and I love that round podium. Are those custom stickers on the round plate/tile? You make a good point about the 16x16 limitation. I don't think we thought that one through enough when making the challenge. But you've done a great job within the space confines and I'm interested to see how others tackle this. -
Fantastic work using all those shades of blue! This is a planet I would love to see more of, and your MOC is a great way to begin to fulfill that appetite. For your building, I love that you made it offset. But I think it hangs over the sides of the cliff too much. I would either make the cliff bigger or the building a little smaller.

LEGO Star Wars 2020 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!
MKJoshA replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Regarding the general direction of this topic, please keep in mind that there is also a 2020 News thread. We created 2 separate threads a couple years ago to allow for speculation and discussion here in this thread while still having a place for official leaks or news in the 2020 News thread. I'm only one guy, and I have a life outside Eurobricks so the News thread is open for anyone to post in. I certainly can't keep track of all the SW leaks. If you have an "official" leak, substantiated rumor (A-wing being a good example), or other news you can post it in that thread. Please don't post leaked photos or links to them, but you can tell people where to find them. If your post in the News thread is inappropriate it will be removed. The first post of this topic has the link to the 2020 News thread if you need it in the future. -
LEGO Star Wars 2020 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!

Feel free to PM me after you've read pages 135 and 136 about spoilers. Otherwise, please keep our discussion about 2020 Sets. -
Sometimes we have to agree to disagree with certain members. While we have various levels of intervention, Greg pushed all the way to the limits of what the community allows.

This is so helpful! Thank you!

LEGO Star Wars 2020 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!

Common courtesy is nice and highly suggested. But at this point we just have to be very sorry for anyone not able to watch The Mandalorian yet. The internet is literally littered with Mando spoilers. Spoilering every Mando season 1 fact on this site is not going to help in the long run so it's not required. For casting announcements, it's a public announcement and therefor not a spoiler. I'm really sorry if you're trying to stay away from all info regarding season 2. But unless you stay off the internet it's almost unavoidable. Using spoiler tags is nice in this instance but certainly not required. -
Probably best to take that up with @VBBN

The cockpit shaping on the V-Wing is amazing! And I love your largo cargo containers and the hovering droid. Great details! -
Great use of the minifig posers!

Lego Licensed Parts available from Bricks & Pieces
MKJoshA replied to LegoPercyJ's topic in LEGO Licensed
I thought it might just be the unprinted version too, but if it's coming in a Minions set later this year then it seems more likely they are in current production for those sets. -

Every time I've wanted to buy a part that was previously available but currently showing "out-of-stock" I've been able to call in and order it. It's usually on back order, but never have I been told I couldn't buy it unless it was an out of production part. For example, I tried to buy the black stalk piece from the Sally CMF recently and couldn't because Lego isn't making new Disney CMF 2 figures so they aren't currently producing that part in black. But I bought pumpkins even they they showed out of stock no problem. And I bet you could use the 200+ piece form to get them as well if you really need pumpkins (I know it's just an example piece). Point is, Bricklink may be gouging people if they paid only $.20 per piece from B&P. But it still comes down to ignorance of the buyer. -

I don't think Lego is "suspicious" of people buying pieces in bulk. They know AFOLs MOC using huge quantities of 1 part. If people end of re-selling them on Bricklink, that's really just the ignorance of the Bricklink buyers not knowing to look on Brick&Pieces. -

I've used the form before to order more than 200 of a couple pieces. Takes a couple weeks to just order, but the form works fine. -

If you call and order the pumpkin piece they will most likely place the order for you. That's what I did with the red pumpkins. I was told I had to wait longer since they were "out-of-stock" but actually got them faster than average. -

This is starting to veer off topic. Don't fly into an asteroid like that ESB TIE Pilot. -

The red shield tiles were $.15. The Batcessories were actually thrown in for free due to some other issues by the Lego customer service rep I talked to so I don't know how much they usually are. -

I saw them on a LUG sheet. I had to call in for them. But they were sold to me no problem. Part number is 6294045. For the batcessories I had to call for those too. Part number 6266155. -
