  1. We want pics! (please?)
  2. Judging from this post, I don't think TheOtters are fortgetting that , but are merely asking if anyone knows anything more. But I don't think anyone besides Kevin Loch knows anything more about the future of Brickshelf.
  3. That turned out really nice. The fort (aren't those stairs leading into the fort a little unprotected?) and the lighthouse are really nice and the water effect is cool too. On the Islander side, the specialized baseplates are really well integrated in the layout.
  4. Thanks for reminding me never ever to buy clone bricks... this looks like it's designed by a three year old. They must save big time on labor costs if they employ kids to design their sets. No wonder it is (and looks ) so cheap.
  5. Much better. I think TLG could have easily made it much better if they would have done it this way, or even least parts-intensive by adding two 1 x 4 x 1 panels of 1 x 4 x 1 (low) fences.
  6. That's a nice little scene... looks very 'finished'. I really like yours along with metalgearsolid's.
  7. And that's the way it should be. Not allowing changes to topic titles may make people think twice before starting topics in the first place and certainly should encourage them to review before hitting the post button.
  8. That skyscraper is becoming B I G... I really like all the detailing to your town, all the trees and plants really give it a finished look. Oh, and that elevated train is really good as well...
  9. Toys R Us doesn't exist anymore in The Netherlands. All their stores are not called ToysXL.
  10. I hope this trend continues...
  11. The EB day never ends, always day time for someone It just counts the posts in the last 24 hours. Seems like the logical thing to do...
  12. Nice one!
  13. XS4All is a Dutch ISP and the URL looks like it's hosted on someone's home ADSL connection, which restricts the download speed of the site to the upload speed of that home connection. ADSL (at least in the Netherlands) has a maximum upload speed of 1 Mbit, which would then be is the download speed to the rest of the world.
  14. They go together really nicely, without much alterations

I'm sure Matt was referring to Basic set 5899 above.
  16. Nice work, I especially like how it's full of action. The little scenes you created everywhere really bring it to life.
  17. As long as you get your beers , eh? Does Eurobricks pay you in beers as well? Seriously, having seen Greenhair's 'how to build a frigate' thread I'm sure his comments will be helpful in restoring the ship to it's former glory. Good luck with it Hornbricker! The point of the thread is that it ended up in pieces, so it's kind of painful to say that he has a nice ship. Cpt. Greenhair HAD a nice ship. Hornbricker received the pile of bricks that the ship was made of, but I'm sure he WILL HAVE a nice ship again in the future...

... that was a little too obvious for me to comment on But hey now I'm doing it anyway
  19. Looks good so far. And I agree: only one way to REALLY judge it... brick it!
  20. I guess the list of possible reasons will be the same as why people at organizations leave/get fired. Curiosity killed the cat...
  21. Did it really arrive in so many small chunks. You could expect some 'damage'/disintegration, but it's in really small pieces on your pictures. They must have really tossed it about quite a lot. But at least you have a good supply of ship-building pieces now.
  22. What a peaceful scene... nice idea

Pictures of the building of 7208 and 7213 I found on Brickshelf.
  24. That new 'Town Boy' tag is pretty town-specific, so maybe not that suitable as a general emoticon. So far we only have a whole host of Pirates-specific emoticons.
  25. That's exactly what I did as well.
