That sounds like a really clever feature... can't wait to see the pics.

I think you presented two already on EB, right? But the new addition, the high-speed traffic car, like the other two looks really good in a police version. Nice work.
-
Nice collection of all your MOCs/MODs so far. I like all the little details here and there and the 'action' going on, like that lamppost being put up.
-
Well, anyway: you still have to get your mom to PM her address to CopMike... ¿puǝɹʇ ʍǝu ɐ buıɯoɔǝq sıɥʇ sı 'uʍop ǝpısdn pɐǝɹ uɐɔ noʎ uǝɥʍ ʇob ǝq oʇ uoıʇɐɯɹoɟuı buıʇsǝɹǝʇuı

That's a warm fuzzy winter scene on the street in front of your Winter Toy Shop

Alright, some bad 'photoshopping' in paint.net et voila: edit: ... and a Town version

This is absolutely amazing! I really like that you've fitted it in so nicely with the Modular Building scale, and that you've added the possibility to reconfigure it. The modern expansion on the old hospital is a really neat design aspect. The outside already looks spectacular, can't wait for the presentation of the interior.

Welcome Perry... if only you were a bluecoat

Chosen mainly for their originality Lorentzen - 3 Captain Blackmoor - 2 JDHinten - 2 But there were more well-built and original entries: Tom Bricks, Selander, Pellaeon, Ratshot, General. Aaargh too many great entries, matey. But it's really been lots of fun seeing all the MOCs posted, commented on, and being improved over the past month.

Well... welcome back in that case. If there's a problem with your return I'm sure one of the mods will approach you by PM. Very original way of indicating your location by the way, you actually made me copy/paste it into Google Maps.

It could really do with two 1 x 4 x 1 panels in the middle.

As TheBrickster said: indeed very classic town looking. Nice little building. I'd try to make the big yellow jack 3- or even 2-wide. 4-wide seems a little too much.

Even though it's a little small (I'd make the walls and the tower higher), I like the 'straight' design of the outpost. The walls shows that the quality of bricks nowadays isn't that high as it used to be, as they don't line up, which is fine for a castle creation but isn't how it's supposed to be.

Great MOC! Besides the excellent exterior, I really like all the little details inside. Also, the little van, fork lift, and that other transporter are really well done. Can you imagine the smell in the upstairs office with that fish market below and the (really well-built) toilet on the same floor?

'Welcome', I like your creations (I've commented on at least one of them) so far.

Some people have all the luck (and/or totally unaware friends/relatives ). Anyway, I'm glad I recently purchased one at a "normal" price.

Great cars. Like most have said, I really like the small flatbed in the first picture, in all its simplicity (with still some clever SNOT around the front wheel). The bars on the yellow 4 x 4 are a nice addition, like the roof rack on the welders' truck. The blue lowrider looks really cool too. The green flatbed seems to have too long a wheel base on the pictures, but that could just be the angle of the pictures.

Agreed, and furthermore RBR has no proper cabin. BB's problems are the design of the masts (flextube), the sails, and the lack of an anchor, but color scheme is so much better than RBR.

MOC: Chevrolet Ambulance
Rick replied to Ralph_S's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
You captured the shape perfectly (and I'm not talking about the female paramedic). The striping is also spot-on. And I really like how you've - even at this scale - managed to capture the interior so well. The only thing bothering me a little is the gap towards the top of the front window, but I guess there was no way around that. -
You could have asked, but I guess it's more fun to try and figure it out yourself... Anyway: I'm kind of honored someone actually copied my MOD.

I prefer the way TLG fills the 'transition period' between Duplo and System nowadays. The Basic sets they introduced this year (the Pirate, Castle, and Fireman building sets) and that they continue next year with the petrol station (with a minifig and two cars) and a house (well at least a facade of a house and a car and two minifigs) are an excellent step-up to System (City). I'd much prefer to buy sets like those for kids in the 4-5 age group, supplemented with some basic bricks and some roof, doors and windows, and wheels accessory packs than 4-juniors/Jack Stone sets.

I don't think I can give an unbiased answer to this, because I grew up with the old ones. And while the new ones look a little more realistic, the old ones can be attached in so many more ways. But then again the clips would also break easily, although that problem may have been confined to the earlier version of the flag. I have newer versions of the 2 x 2 flag with clips that are made of a softer plastic.

The Pirate version turned public on Brickshelf... and I must say I prefer it over the castle version, and while that could be my personal bias, I think it's mainly because of the color the soldiers add to it.
-
Congrats to the winners of the first day. I just noticed I posted my entry to Brickshelf, which was up at the time I posted it (p. 2 of the topic), is up now, but was probably down when the raffle closed. So, just to be sure: am I in?

Instantly recognizable SlyOwl creation. the right side is definitely my favorite part of this scene: I really like the water flowing. The rock (especially the way the grass grows on the top, with that cleverly placed double-wedge plate). The fortification and the 'bridge' leading there are really well done as well. I'm amazed at all the roof techniques you always come up with, but some of them are a little too fragile for my taste.
