  1. Great buildings. I already saw your red building(s) some time ago (on Brickshelf?), but I really like the black (Dutch inspiration?) and white buildings as well. You managed to throw in just the right amount of detail to make it realistic, but not too distracting. Good job.
  2. hmmm, ... and that monkey looks tasteful too.

    MOC: Tan house

Nice MOC, although the tan is a bit too much. Also, I think one lion's head would look better than three. The shed is really nice...

    City 2010

That's what he said But hey, you're excited, you're forgiven
  5. Here in The Netherlands, sets like these are usually short-lived. The recipe over here is, they introduce them and 'discount' them immediately (e.g., from €35 to €20/€25). It are typically 'big' (often 8-wide) sets with relatively large specialized pieces. Some past examples include the big yellow dump truck, the green truck with those two large green pre-fab dumper pieces, the coast guard 'Unimog' with boat. Next year it will (likely) be the big 8-wide fire truck with boat.
  6. Colorful indeed! Shows that with basic Lego colors, you can still create appealing buildings.
  7. That's kind of a strong statement to make. I happen to like and own almost all of the sets you (dis)qualify as being junk almost none of the Coast Guard sets. I guess it's all a matter of personal preference in the end.
  8. I agree with these comments on the boat, but I really like the color scheme and the fact that it's a merchant ship for a change. Furthermore, the bow of the boat looks a little flat compared to the mid-section of the ship. My intuitive reaction would be to raise the front of the ship a little, but I'm no ship expert so perhaps what you've built is pretty accurate.
  9. Guess he had skellie for lunch some time ago Anyway: Fun entry! Good work.
  10. Sounds good so far... glad they take a break from the fantasy theme (although dragons... oh nevermind), hoping for some more civilian-oriented sets.
  11. Very simple (meant in a good way) MOC, with - as always - an official set-like appeal. If TLG ever was to release a new Western theme, they'd probably get enough inspiration from your MOCs (the same goes for the Western sets designed by Brick Miner some years ago).
  12. Back when boxes still used to feature alternate models... *sigh* The 'pizza' car show (what do pizzas have to do with it?) is hilarious, but I also like the idea of a 'pizza trailer'... I should really build one of those 'mobile vendor thingies' once...
  13. First time I see this thread pop up, but reading all these 'amazing discoveries' makes me rather envious.
  14. I really like the atmosphere you captured in this - rather big - scene. I suppose you don't have any snow-covered trees (from the Belville theme I believe)? My only further suggestion would be to try and make the edge of the ice a little less diamond-shaped, but 'rounder'.
  15. Welkom/Welcome to Eurobricks!
  16. Looks great. I really like the way you've upgraded the CC with an extra mast and gave it a deck and a proper cabin. The expansion of the fort looks great too, the new colors work really well and I like how you've expanded on the baseplate.
  17. The same comments as on your camper apply here... the SNOT technique has really allowed you to capture the shape accurately, but at the expense of the 'looks' of the back. I also think the black rounded bricks make a too wide edge for the front window. I would suggest trying to use the snot technique only for the majority of the front of the truck and build the remainder studs up.
  18. I haven't really had a terribly bad experience with sticker sheets and/or instruction manuals. No really 'hard' folds in any of them. Perhaps this is another reason to reach to the back of a shelf in a toy store - those boxes are less likely to be handled by kids ("mam, can i have this?" * heavily shaking the box *, "no, you can't, go put it back"... do that a couple of times et voila, you have your shaken about instruction manuals and stickers). In fact the worst condition sticker sheet I can remember is from a heavily worn box that I bought on discount.
  19. Welcome to Eurobricks... be sure to... oh you did...
  20. Very nice design indeed. Too bad it's 8-wide instead of 6- or 7-wide.
  21. It's called popularity... Aren't the pictures (most bandwidth-intensive) hosted off-site?
  22. Boozeheads!
  23. Great little set with some nice parts. Thanks for the review. Not into PM, but I just might 'need to' get it when I find it on sale somewhere, sometime, someway...
  24. I own this set's predecessor (671) and the stickers got lost along the way for me as well. Most of the other stickers from my childhood survived (some in not too good condition, another reason for preferring printed bricks), so I guess the fact that the stickers on 671 but also on 6995 stretch across multiple bricks is the main reason for their loss. TLG has done better in that respect in recent years, although 10184 Town Plan still features stickers across multiple bricks. Nice review of a classic little town set.
  25. Nice little set, with some nice parts and nice models to build. Thanks for the review.
