Basic brick buckets combined with Doors and Windows and Roof Tiles would also allow you to build simple houses.

It's applied to a car door in the Idea Book itself.

Please refer to our flickr tutorial. Instead of making a new post, it's also possible to Edit (click the button towards the bottom right of the post) your opening post.

Make sure you're using a URL to an image. When you have the image you want on your screen when browsing MOCpages (max. 1,024x768 pixels), right-click it and select "Copy Image URL" (or something similar, depending on the browser you're using) and paste this URL in the textbook you get when clicking the image button or wrap it in "img" tags as follows: [img=your-image-url]

In fact, someone has just asked the exact same question in the Town forum. Please continue the discussion there.

I seem to recall that the 5% figure that was mentioned earlier refers to sales. Adults (who buy stuff for themselves) don't make up 5% of TLG's customers.

Please review the Site Guidelines on Ideas projects. Please edit the first post of the topic and present your MOC, instead of focusing on getting people to vote for you. Linking to your Ideas page once is ok, but the focus of the thread has to be on the MOC, not the project. Thank you.

Eurobricks structure, moderating, member involvement and more

I was explaining why we decided to put Friends in the Town forum. If you look at the links I included, you see that the setting of a theme (contemporary non-fiction in the case of City and Friends) ties MOCers together much more than whether minifigs or minidolls are included. A very practical concern is that not a lot of people create pure Friends MOCs, so if we created a separate forum for the Friends line, I predict that it'd be a forum with a lot of activity around the time new sets are released, but very quiet for the rest of the year. Regarding the rumoured Elves line, nothing has been decided and I'm sure we'll have a discussion about where to put the set discussion threads once we see pictures: Maybe they'll have flick-fire missiles and we'll stick them in Action Themes. Did you click the links I included in my earlier post? They're Town-themed MOCs that include parts introduced in the Friends line and/or minidolls. As I mentioned above, there aren't a lot of people that include minidolls in their MOCs and a dedicated forum would consist mainly of news threads. The MOCs that would be posted there would not receive the exposure they deserve and the comments from MOC experts in Town, History, etc. My experience in Town is that "Friends MOCs" receive great comments from traditional Town builders. -

We clearly defined what goes in Town by two key word: minifig/-doll scale and contemporary. This includes Modular Buildings and the CREATOR buildings, because they complement the vehicle-oriented City theme really well. When it comes to discussion of new sets, that means the lines aren't always clearly defined. For most years, there's a CREATOR discussion thread in Special Themes for the whole wave, but - as of this year - there's also a CREATOR Houses thread in Town. Most of the discussion here seems to center around set news and related discussion, but we also try to be a place for AFOLs to show their MOCs and receive constructive criticism from fellow builders. From that perspective, it makes a lot more sense to, for example, group Friends MOCs with City MOCs, because the scales are virtually the same. This also means that people can get feedback on their Friends vehicle (some examples) and building (more examples) MOCs from the people who build City vehicles and Modular buildings. The rumoured Elves line might (depending on how it's exactly done) fit very well in History because, when people start MOCing in the spirit of the line, they will likely benefit from the comments by people who build (fantasy) history MOCs. Moreover, the parts the line possibly introduces could find their way into minifig-scaled History MOCs quickly (like Friends parts do in Kristel's Modulars in Town). -
It's not because you're using your LUG's site for hosting pictures. It is because your LUG seems to use a PHP script to serve the image. Simply put, the URL should end in ".jpg", ".png", etc.

Did you check the pinned Special Themes index? There's a section with threads related to Boardgames.

I merged the two accounts for you. Log in with the login/password combination of (what was) your most recent account. I changed your display name to "hollisbrick" though.

The staff have been (re)discussing the issue of uploading files to EB. We now only allow the attachment of LDD files. All regular ranks have 100KB of total upload space available for this. For images and other files types, you still have to use external (image) hosting services.
-
You'd have to upload the pictures to an image hosting service (e.g., flickr) and then link to them in your post (see this thread for a tutorial on how to do it for flickr).
-
Be sure to select BBcode instead of HTML. What it is called is browser-dependent. In Chrome it is called "Copy Image URL", in Firefox it is called "Copy Image Location" and in Internet Explorer you have to select "Copy" when you right-click on an image. Be sure to wrap the resulting URL in "img" tags, which can be done using the image button in rich text mode or typing out the "img" tags: [img=<url to image>]

Yippie, Phred's kinda back.

A green stingy thingy.

It probably comes with the forum software we use, but we chose to disable it for regular members. We use it though, for front page images mostly.
-
Because of space and bandwidth limitations, we don't allow users to upload content directly to EB, so you'll have to use image and/or other file hosting services. I doubt it's possible to hide the "My Media" button for certain user groups, but that's a question for the Admins.
