Most of your posts so far lack proper punctuation and capitalisation. Furthermore your posts look very sloppy and contain a lot of mistakes that are easily fixed. From now on, please properly format your posts and take a minute to proofread your post before hitting the Send button. Thank you. Also, I have moved your post to Culture & Multimedia where games and applications are discussed.

Military MOCs go in Special themes, so I've moved your topic there.

Please continue the discussion there. Thanks.

Doc's Mocs WIP
Rick replied to Doc_Brown's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Just because it's your own MOC WIP thread, doesn't mean it's ok to go completely off-topic. The new movie is being discussed in the Culture and Multimedia forum. -
Per the Site Guidelines, selling is not allowed for new members. Also, the theme forums are for discussion about the respective LEGO themes. We have a separate forum dedicated to buying, selling and trading LEGO. See here for details. From your posts so far it looks like you joined EB mainly for busying/selling/trading LEGO, something we don't encourage.

Thanks for the great review of this behemoth, Rufus. I imagine it's difficult to capture the sheer size of the set because it's all black, but you really do a good job of capturing every little detail. I appreciate the comparisons with the "real" thing. One thing I was wondering about is why there are two 1 x 3 tiles used here instead of slopes. Is this to allow for some interior details? I guess you also have to consider it's a S@H exclusive and not part of the regular retail LOTR line.

Special Themes Moderator and Reviewers Academy Teacher Rufus reviews the impressive flagship set of the Summer LEGO Lord of the Rings line: 10237 The Tower of Orthanc. Head over to the Historic Themes forum to read the in-depth review and to see how it compares to the real thing (well, the thing in the films, that is).

Thanks for pointing that out Aanchir. I see the short bar sticking out the back of the guitar in one of the pictures now. It'd still look a bit odd for a minidoll to hold a guitar at the back though, but I guess it's best they could do given the minidoll's fixed hands.

I am... cherries! It looks like a very decent parts pack with all the browns, the leaf pieces and the toadstool.

Not So Reclusive Raccoon [ I got out of my hollow tree last week and was spotted by a panda. I think there may have been a rabbit too. Given by Pandora. ]

Thanks for another in-depth review. The school's colour scheme is great; the dark blue contrasts really nicely with the bright light yellow (you sure love that colour, don't you? ). The attention to detail is amazing and I'm surprised they managed to add so much interior detailing to those 8 x 16 modules. I wish the theme relied less on stickers, but I guess some of them really are necessary to add the required detail, and it's really not unlike any other theme. However, this set also once again proves they use brick-built items wherever possible, like in the cafeteria. ... except that the minidolls can't actually play it because of their fixed hands. It was already pointed out as a problem with minidolls riding minifig bikes, but at least they can be posed as if they're riding the bikes. They can't really do much more than hold the guitar. Now if only I had a red paintbrush for those cherries.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 11 Rumours & Discussion
Rick replied to CM4Sci's topic in Special LEGO Themes
As GRogall already indicated, if you think a thread requires moderator intervention, simply use the Report button. And the same goes for you. There's nothing wrong with your enthusiasm, but you have to realise that a forum is not a chat room. It seems you want to respond to everyone's opinions immediately, so perhaps you should try to post less and respond to multiple posts at once. You should also realise that not everyone is interested in reading about your personal opinion on the rumoured series 11 figures. People are probably checking this thread for news and I can imagine it's annoying if it gets bumped a lot because you keep posting your opinions on everything. Thanks for your understanding. -
Are minifigs' faces grumpier than before, and is this important?

Thanks for a very entertaining review Hinck. I don't own a lot of Friends sets, but the stores are definitely my favourite sets of the theme. Last year's City Park Café is great and this looks like a worthy successor. I love all the accessories (bread in a new colour ) and the brick-built cakes. They remind me a lot of this Duplo set. There are so many similarities to Fabuland. It also is all about the characters, the story and the accessories. It's this brick actually, which hasn't been available in tan for a while. The whole entrance isn't symmetrical, which irks OCD me a bit. Did you forget to photograph the completed oven separately? It looks a bit bare this way.

This is such a great way to combine the official sets Kristel. You essentially came up with a great idea for a "doll house" theme within Friends. Olivia's house and the this Summer's school already use this modular concept within the set, but it could also tie various sets (shops, bedrooms, etc.) together.
