    A week ago (better late than never), Eurobricks Fellow Kristel posted her latest Modular Building, the Black Velvet Café. The café and accountants' offices on the first and second floor, are built in a lovely subdued colour scheme of black, grey and dark tan. Be sure to spend some time looking at the pictures to discover all the clever little surprises and building techniques used for both the exterior and the interior of this building. Check out all the pictures and leave your comments in the the Town forum.

    If the axle is really 5.5 long as Bricklink says, then that will never fit. The height of the build below the roof is 16 plates, which translates into 6.4 bricks wide (16*2/5). The length of the pin, because of the ridge below the Technic plate, is more than 1 wide.. It seems like you have more space available than necessary for the large Technic gear though. Shouldn't a 5 long axle be used in that place instead?

    Long-term EB member (he has member number 315!) and Fellow Nathan Todd (Norro) has just completed an impressive non-LEGO project. The result, the film "A Belfast Story", starring Colm Meaney, is showing in cinemas across the UK and Ireland as of this weekend.     TLG uses pieces in "odd" colours on the inside of models regularly. For, example Rufus's review of the BTTF DeLorean shows that they use, later invisible, red and blue pieces to mark the front and back of the car. I think it's safe to assume they indeed do this to create reference points. Some City sets have plates and bricks in odd colours in invisible places too, but I get the impression that's often to get rid of stocks of certain elements.

    Thanks for giving me the chance to play Tammo. I've given this a lot of thought and, due to other commitments, I don't think I can give this game the attention it deserves right now. Besides, I think it's fairer to give the spot to someone who actually signed up to be a reserve. I've been following along though and I like the story and presentation a lot. Good luck hosting and thanks again.
