Thanks to grohl for his two latest CREATOR alts!
-
I very much hope there won't be a next time. Generally, EB members don't take too kindly to being duped. Topic closed.

Thanks, Luxor, for bringing us this excellent tour round an old classic! For its time, this is truly a remarkably detailed and beautiful set, and I think it's amazing how it's still in such good condition after all this time. Do you have any more from this era (excepting the Harley, of course )? I've created a whole new index to put them in

Well this might be my last chance to speak today, so action is called for. It horrifies me to think that my own father might be one of the traitorous non-loyals, but as he was quick to jump on me, and has said some confusing and contradictory things today, I feel I have little choice. He did push for us reaching a conviction today, so I'll do what I'm told, though it pains me to: Vote: Sammy Spalkowa / Sandy I hope we learn something from this
-
Normally, that would be no bad thing - someone confirmed loyal would be a powerful asset, and be able to take the lead. The problem comes with us not being able to communicate privately - how is the investigator going to tell us of the result without revealing their own role? We have to hope the protector will act intelligently, and that the scum don't have any blocking abilities. You haven't made any yet! Only lots and lots of chocolate. You first! If you listen to what I said carefully, you will notice I was merely pointing out what would happen if we don't lynch; I was hardly advocating that action strongly . This question has come up in day one of every play I've seen about family politics; I'm surprised Dragana hasn't brought up the statistics yet . For you to turn a rational comment into suspicion smacks of desperation to me, father. My own opinion is that we should lynch today; the trouble is getting a bandwagon going when there is so little to go on. I agree it was useful in getting people talking. But you should have added Amy - she still hasn't spoken.
-
But there isn't any evidence today, and unless someone slips up there isn't going to be. A random-ish vote is therefore the only way to lynch someone, and yes it's more likely to be a fellow loyal. That is, unless we all vote for someone different - Grandad said he would kill a random non-voter if no conviction is reached. We still haven't heard back from Amy. My vote will be going for my dear sister if she doesn't show up soon
-
Both Dragana and Mother have spoken a few times, admittedly mostly about pie and whips, but Amy has spoken but once. Amy? Maybe she's doing chores too.
-
I wish! I had a long day at work My parents had me doing chores all day. Why can't a rich family like this get some servants?
-
Apologies, everyone, for being quiet today. I assure you it is down to lack of opportunity for speaking rather than any sinister motive - I'm sure you will agree I haven't been around lurking either. Generally speaking, going for the quiet ones is a good way to start - even if that implicates me - at least until we have something more solid to go on. We do have to be careful, though; we are for the most part experienced in mafia family politics, so day one behaviour may not be as straight-forward as it seems. The main advantage of pushing the quiet ones to speak is that it might encourage them to slip up... but I haven't seen any evidence of that yet I can't imagine for a moment that my dear sister Amy is harbouring any non-loyal thoughts against grandad, but I would like to hear more from her.

Here I am, sis! I was just playing with these new plastic construction toys Daddy bought me. The little figures are so small and weird, not like us beautiful people at all At least our parents get us sensible toys, not like Petra and her guns. Not likely with her husband preferring chocolate cake to cherry pie

Nice technique! It'll be good for mangroves and other twisty swamp trees Provided you can get lots of the tube pieces of course

Are we all German? I thought I might be Polish or something. -

Rupert here! Who's funny-looking? Oh right, I do look kinda weird. -
Nicely done Chris! Good to see a Racers MOC. I'm sure there'd be much need for an ambulance, given the likely fate of many Racers sets in the hands (or on the carpets) of typical kids! The weathered-looking pieces on the side presumably come from an earlier Town ambulance set?

Wow, you're quite an innovator! Lovely scene; the stethoscope isn't perfect but it's an ingenious solution. I love the use of the old toothed half-bush for the safe lock, and I'll echo others in admiring the desk drawers

Superbly detailed and professionally presented review Z! I love it! I've got a few of these Alien Conquest sets - they have an appealing parts selection, cool aliens, and a lovely tongue-in-cheek humour throughout. I've overlooked this one, partly because I've been concentrating on the alien vehicles, and partly because helicopters never appeal to me. Still, seeing the set in such detail has made me think twice, and I might make a splurge on this What I like about the ADU stuff is the colour scheme is vaguely reminiscent of blue Classic Space. The ship in the HQ set in particular reminds me of one of my favourite childhood sets: Lose the rotors, a bit of mod work, and this heli might achieve the same.

Thanks for resizing! This is indeed a great action diorama in Miniland scale! You can almost feel the emotion, which is always the hardest thing to convey (especially in the dejected yellow-shirt guy ). I presume the power is just for lighting the scoreboard?

Hello, ptLeskinen, and welcome to Eurobricks! This looks a great MOC, but I'm afraid your pictures are far too large. As you're using Brickshelf, you'll need to resize them manually to a maximum of 800x600 pixels, then upload and deeplink the smaller size. There's a tutorial here if you're not sure how to do this. For now, I've changed the pictures to links. I'll comment more when you've resized them. Thanks! Rufus

Brickdoctor is correct. Here's what I see: In your signature editing page, place the cursor immediately before the first tag and press return. Otherwise the admins will shout at you for having too large a signature!

Hello, legodac, and welcome to Eurobricks! Posting your creations would be most welcome. There isn't a forum dedicated to new creations; instead, chose the most appropriate forum for the MOC. For example, looking at your signature, the train tunnel would be best placed in Train Tech, and the tank in Special Themes. I'd also suggest posting in a 'normal' font - paradoxically, people are less likely to read what you write if you post in a 'shouty' font . You might also consider fixing your signature - a carriage return between the text and the pics should sort it out Have fun, and do ask if you have any questions! Rufus

Haha, I was going to do something similar You missed out a step though - the mysterious transition from yellow to fleshie

Wow, that's an impressive MOC! Thumbs up for attention to detail. What may be more impressive is that any kid should be so inspired by his school as to build a model of it. I'f I'd have done that, it would be in order to destroy it
