  1. I forgot to say before, Fangy, but I think this photo is brilliant: I'd been wanting to do something similar with the magnifying glass for a long time.
  2. Wow, it's amazing what you can do with mostly basic bricks. You've managed to give him a really realistic expression (he looks kinda impatient, which I guess is totally in character for Papa Smurf )
  3. Happy Birthday to both of you! Hope you have a fab day Cake for you, Draggy:
  4. Military Dioramas, Vignettes and Figures Anything else Military Dioramas, Vignettes, Military Establishments Armies and Figures Large Collaborative Displays
  5. Nice! Though it's starting to look a little Sci-Fi ish. There's a definite similarity to Grievous's Starfighter from SW, with the rear cockpit like that. If it weren't for the black triangular plate on the underside, I'd suggest moving the engines inboard by a stud.
  6. This is the right place! He's a little small, but I guess would fit in nicely with minifigs. I love his big paddy paws! I see your yellow 1x1 clippy plates suffer the same colour variation as mine.
  7. Military Vehicles & Hardware continued Land based vehicles and weaponry Jeeps, Humvees and APCs Tanks Logistics & Support Rockets, Artillery & Other Assorted Hardware
  8. Pub Bouncer/Negotiator -[Don't you just love it when pubs have bouncy castles? You don't?? Let me persuade you ]
  9. Please stop derailing WhiteFang's lovely review thread with discussion of prices. Keep the talk about the figures or the review. If you have to discuss prices, please do it in the Series 5 discussion thread. I'll move those price-related posts over later. Thanks! Edit: And moved.
  10. Does that work? Sounds impractical to me. Oh wait, that's the beauty of fiction - of course it works! And yes, your description sounded very realistic - had me fooled Well-researched!
  11. Thanks for the news! First post updated.
  12. Yay a Racers review! Straight into the index with you, my friend. Thanks! What an ugly car, though. It's a technic set, really, but without all the super functions. I guess there's scope to motorise it. A thought on the asymmetric steering rack: I presume the 1x6 bley plate is attached to the liftarm via stud pins? If so, the plate could be offset half a stud by connecting via the small pins on the bottom rather than the anti-studs, thus making it sit in the middle.
  13. A mafia game without Rick? It wouldn't be the same! Then again, in a PM-free game there wouldn't be the message-every-five-minutes madness anyway
  14. This is the place for Miniland figs. Nice work, though he looks a little tubby for football! If he were a little skinnier, I'd suggest calling him Jamie Bearded I like the variety of poses you've got him in. Please resize your pics to a maximum of 800x600 in future. Thanks!
  15. Interesting concept plane; was it a real aeroplane? I tried a google search, but came up with nothing. Either way, I like it - but I'm a little confused as to how pitch is controlled Nice design of the wings, and those engines look powerful
  16. Pweeeeeeeeease Quarry! Consider me! I'll be here for all of July, and I'd love to play a PM-free game! And if you don't pick me, I'll post all the other Brickworld pics
  17. Fangy, you have excelled yourself! This is a super review, your best yet. I can see myself going out to get a whole box of these beauties. Possibly my favourite series of them all
  18. Congratulations to the well-deserved winners! Thanks to all the entrants for the time and dedication you put into your entries, particularly for Category B which set a particularly difficult challenge this time. I look forward to seeing what you guys can come up with for next time!
  19. That's a great innovative technique, Chris, and a lovely mini Are the sides attached to each other? I imagine that'd be difficult to do. Or I guess I just just wait to see the instructions
  20. Yes, it seems there are two in 8403 City House, a set I only reviewed for Pete's sake *Must pay more attention*
  21. Ahhh, the MOC bug bites! I like the Classic Town-SciFi fusion you've got going here Cloney, and I love the idea of the Smiling Mafia Where did you get the yellow saucers? I've not seen those before
  22. Here's a look inside: The forceshield lights are three PF LEDs wedged into some technic bricks - nothing fancy. The green light in the cockpit is a single LED through two 1x1 trans-green plates. The engine lights: And the thruster: Thanks! See more here.
  23. Man, I thought I'd seen everything at BW but I completely missed this Some lovely techniques there, and the whole is a thing of beauty I particularly like your sheep!
