Thanks Chris! Truth is it didn't start out as a recycling vessel, but as the design progressed it seemed a fitting occupation Thanks, 'tiger! I've not seen QUARK, and I'm a little saddened to find out it's not an original idea. Oh well, someone's gotta keep space clean Cheers, Eating TV ( ) I don't know Firefly, but I can see the TB2 similarity. It also bears a passing resemblance to the Futurama spaceship - entirely unintentional Thank you, Daniel's Dad! Thanks! Thanks, Brickdoctor! I've taken a leaf out of Lucas's book and gone for a 'used' look. Cheers Ralph! Thanks, Kiel! I think it got kinda lost at BW with all the other amazing stuff going on. Though I wish I'd registered it. Thanks, Masked. I was particularly pleased with the landing gear (I love working landing gear ) Thank you, Sieggy! I could call it The Walrus if you like! And thanks for frontpaging! Rick you cheeky devil! That was the intention Thanks Nightshroud! Glad you liked it. Originally it was all bley/dark bley, but I really liked the splash of green. I had to buy an Atlantis set specially to get the green cockpit roof Thanks, Dazmundo! Cheers, Hollander! I thought about making it a SW ship, but I figured I then have to engineer it into the story somehow. I kinda like it in its own universe It's mostly done with PF lights: ... and a large battery box in the hull. The rear thruster has a light-brick. I'll upload some build pictures soon (be warned, it's not so pretty inside )

Cute little cottage! I like the roof design I'm afraid I had to edit the title text: plain text only in the titles please

I've been inspired recently by all the wonderful creations Eurobricks members have been able to produce using only the parts from CREATOR sets. This thread will be used to index all of these amazing models. To qualify for the index, a CREATOR alternative model must: Be an original creation Be posted on Eurobricks Have photos of reasonable quality (blurry pictures will not be indexed; please try to use a plain background) Combinations of two or more sets are ok, provided at least one of these sets is CREATOR and you provide the set numbers. Please post your creation in a separate thread. If the model belongs in a particular forum (eg. Star Wars) then post it there and let me know in this thread. When I've added it to the index, a little logo will appear in your thread: For alternatives in other fora: Have fun and enjoy! Deep in the interstellar wastes, a shadowy clan known as the Gleaners eke a living by salvaging scraps of wreckage from the Great Galactic Conflict. Their ship - known as The Bullfrog - is a former Galactic Recycling Vessel from the days of prosperity before the Conflict fragmented the various peoples of the galaxy of Androgyna and destroyed all its infrastructure. Once a great fleet of these vessels roamed the vast gulfs of space, keeping the galactic highways free from debris; most were destroyed, but the Gleaners have commandeered this remaining example for their own ends. Port side low This low view highlights the Bullfrog's design purpose. The large forward ingress bay scoops up debris and garbage, which passes through the blue force-shield and into the main processing area. A large articulated claw on the starboard side can be used to grab any tricky pieces of wreckage. Two military-grade lasers, mounted on the forward aspects of the hyperdrive engines, are intended for cutting up larger chunks of wreckage. Their ability to divide spacecraft hulls does, of course, provide another function in these days of galactic instability. The port side also features a docking port: Once, the Galactic Recycling Company's green livery covered the entire upper surface of the hull. Only a few areas of green paint remain. Starboard side Here you can see that the Bullfrog has not escaped the Galactic Conflict unscathed. A large area of hull has been compromised by laser damage. Fortunately, she's a tough old thing, and no critical equipment was damaged. The claw folds down along the starboard side when not in use: Landing mode When planetary landing, large struts deploy from the forward aspects of the lower hull panels: In landing mode, you can see how the Bullfrog gets her nickname: And here she is docked on the watery planet of Skcirborue: (Landing pad by Pandora) Crew The cockpit seats four crew. Here we see the Gleaners chief Gothma supervising her minions. More crew (not shown) are required to operate the processing machinery in the main hull. The garbage entry port, open and closed: The blue force-shield keeps the hull airtight, but the port cover prevents unwanted debris (asteroids etc.) entering the processing area. Rear The main sublight thruster glows yellow. The sensitive machinery around the thruster is protected by the four fins which project from the hull sections. Builder's notes The Bullfrog is a complex build. The main hull is built around two rings of clicky hinge-bricks in octagon shapes, with eight hull panels attached studs-outwards. The cockpit area sits studs-up on a SNOT base; beneath this is some greebling attached studs-downward. Most of the interior is taken up with the Power Functions battery box; if the lights are removed, it would be possible to add some interior detail. The thruster light is a PF light-brick. Finally, here's a long-exposure shot of the lights: Thanks for reading! More pictures on flickr. Rufus

Star Trek! That explains why the reds were always the ones to get killed (nothing to do with the fact that I had many more reds that any other colour ) I always had the black spacemen as commanders. The classic spacedudes looked badass in black.

Thank you! It's meant to be a 1961 Ferrari California Spyder. We got a bit lost and ended up on planet Skcirborue Some day I'll get round to posting it properly Becka wasn't the only old friend present:

Good idea Cammo, but some people join in order to post an amazing MOC they've been working on, and I guess we don't want them to go elsewhere . Plus it would make the introductions forum a bit pointless!

And a Happity Belated Birthday from me too!

It was great to meet you, lisqr! The raffles kept going - I don't know if you stayed till the closing ceremony, but they gave away a 10179 as the big raffle prize, and then there was an 'everyone gets a prize' raffle with random giveaways, some of which were pretty cool ex-display sets and such. I agree with Rob - the lack of onsite food is a big issue. The Westin is missing a trick there.

What a lovely vignette! Two very different ways to create faces, both with very different styles and effects but somehow they sit perfectly together. Fantastico!
-
I've seen it IRL It is truly impressive - the pictures don't do it justice. I'm still trying to figure out the wheel mechanism... and the water movement is indeed mesmerising

Thanks for reviewing this, Future74! It's great to see so many good quality photos. Perhaps you could clarify one thing? I presume the set also has a boarding ramp, but I couldn't see mention of it in your review. Thanks! I'm not sure I agree that is a bit improvement over but each to his own! I think this set improves some aspects of 4504, but unfortunately at the expense of others. This view just about sums up what I don't like about this incarnation: Those exposed technic beams on the underside are hideous. I can understand why they are needed, but for a set that is likely to be displayed like this, I think they should have paid more attention to the underside. It also seems to sit a little low. I'll probably get this set anyway (I always give in ) but it'll be a project for the future to combine this and 4504 to create a System-scale Falcon I'm happy with...

Clone brand reviews should indeed be posted here in Community. I looked at one of those sets. The part designs are remarkably similar to LEGO's

Oooh, nice! You've got the lines perfectly. I'm very impressed with the working undercarriage, and the slight sweep-back of the horizontal stabilizers looks like it must have been tricky to achieve. Are those working flaps too? My only niggle is that it would look cleaner with a more studless build, but I imagine that would be near-impossible while still having the camouflage design. Great stuff!
-
Wow, those are really impressive! It's great to see such creativity with such a small set. I'd be interested to see what you can up with from other Creator sets!
-
Thank you Splat, that's genius! You should patent this design - I know I for one am going to copy it!
-
Yay! I've been waiting for a review of this set for ages. Nice, clear pics, and the dark blue background works well here. I'm a big fan of planes, but for some reason LEGO's version of the 787 never appealed enough for me to buy this one. It just seems a little too blocky at this scale. Maybe if they'd simplified the colour scheme if would have had cleaner lines, but then I guess people would have complained about accuracy. I do like how they've achieved the swept wings, though. Indexed!
-
Both of these are correct, but most people would say, 'I found it yesterday.' The exception would be for emphasis, usually with another word: 'I found it a whole day ago.' If there's more than one day, then it's obvious: 'I found it two days ago,' but you could also say, 'I found it a couple of days ago.' All of these are perfectly acceptable.
-
Loving the abstract look! And I like the use of the PQ wings.

Interesting concept; it's certainly original. I like the cooling tower and your technique for the smoke Indexed! Please make an effort to use proper capitalisation in your posts, though
