VOTING THREAD Warzone 1: The Arkbri Skirmishes

Who Can Vote: EVERYONE (That includes people who have not signed up yet, or will never sign up!)

How to Vote: Look at all the MOCs from each side. First, determine which side won this battle. You should base your opinion on a couple different factors:

A)Build quality amongst all MOCs

B)Number of MOCs of quality

C) Story of the MOC

You can weigh these in any order, or add your own categories. Please consider the three above in your decision though. You may want to clarify or lobby for your favorites in this thread, but you don’t have to write anything if you don’t want to.

Next, pick an answer to each question in the pole.

In the second three questions it will ask you to pick your favorite MOC from each side. Please judge on quality of MOC and its story. You can add other qualifications to your own judging process if you would like.

Finally, submit your vote.

Polling ends: March 24^th (a little bit longer than normal because I won’t be able to close the poll on the 22^nd. I am out of town all weekend.)

Location: E7

Who Could Participate: All Factions

Terrain: This battle happens along the Arkbri River. Which is mostly long meandering sections, with light hills and grasslands. The river is known for its reedy banks, where one can easily get lost trying to get from the bank to the open water.

History: The Arkbri has been a rich river for Western Kaliphlin for centuries. It divides the Western Sands, and hugs the escarpment for a good 35 miles. It is also one of the largest obstacles to Kaliphlin travelers. The only major crossing in the Great Span at Queenscross. Although this battle may not seem important, it lays the ground work for the battle for the much more important Queenscross.

Mini-challenge: With a small band of men, scout out enemy intelligence agents (spys, scouts, etc…) and neutralize them.

Restrictions: 16x16 with limited overhang.

It kills me to think the High Council won this time!

I think the High Council won, not only because I'm on it, but because I think it came out with some of the best builds, not to mention the majority of them.

Jakorin Swiftsword has my vote! I voted for his mainly because of the base, but also so a lot because of the story, which was quite well written, if lacking any form of characterization (though isn't exactly rare).

Graham's rock-work/water almost got my vote, but in the end, story won out. :)

'Twas a close battle (well, close between the Council and Desert King at least! ), but I ended up voting for the High Council. Let's hope Ulandus can have a bit of a better showing next time!

What happens if a MOC loses the "best" category barely and "second best" also barely (and gets no votes in "third best)? Will that mean that it falls outside of the ranking totally or that it gets second place?

I was about to explain it. I thought it would not be fair to just have one list. So I will assign 3 points for a 1st place vote, 2 for a second and 1 for a third, then tally them up, and then we should have a legitimate 1-5 for each faction. (except Ulandus, only 4 there)

On another note, Desert King was just two builds away from a chance at an overwhelming victory if they won. Meaning they would get to pick an extra square.

I don't really understand why High Council should be the winner of this warzone ? The Desert King had the most builds and also the build of MassEditor is by far the best... well the High Council had a solid build quality overall, but nothing that overwhelming like MassEditor's.

I voted for the Desert King too. They had the largest amount of participation and the best build overall.

It's being judged by the overall quality. Or would you prefer that one faction puts out a ton of mediocre builds rather than less but more detailed and solid builds? As a strong supporter of Ulandus, I hate that I voted for the High Council because they were chipping away at us with just about every build but I felt like they had the most solid builds overall.

Don't worry though, Ulandus will prevail soon enough!
