SkaForHire Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 (edited) Week 5 Guerrilla Challenges Week 5 Guerrilla Votes: (hold your horses here, I have to set up the voting threads) NOTE: I think some are missing, but if there is not a link in the “Category C Thread” I might miss the build! So make sure to record your attacks there. (And your counters please!) New Challenges: The following challenges have been made. Anyone may counter these Guerrilla Attacks, but remember each builder can only build one counter build each week, so pick wisely. If the challenger wins, they will earn 4 additional points. Each counter is worth 4 points. (This is the last week that the old points values will be used) Voting will happen after the deadline. The winning side either retains the zone or captures the zone. If no one counters the challenger’s MOC, then the zone turns over to the challenger’s side, and they only earn 2 points. Counter builds should have a title with this tag in it: [CG: location, your faction vs the guerrilla's faction] IE: [CG:J13, U vs DK], Non Special Due Date: April 5th, anywhere in the world. Zone: K15 + K15 (Auner, worth 2 VP) Challenger: Jacob Nion + Robuko What Faction can counter: Ulandus (Two Counters Needed) Due Date: April 19th Zone: B8 + B8 Challenger: Garmadon + Kai NRG What Faction can counter: Desert King (Two Counters Needed) Zone: J11 Challenger: MKJoshA What Faction can counter: Ulandus Zone: L15 + L15 (Boreasport, worth 2 VP) Challenger: Brick Man Studios + Umbra-Manis What Faction can counter: Ulandus (Two Counters Needed) Due Date: April 19th Zone: g14 Challenger: MassEditor What Faction can counter: Ulandus THREE WAY BATTLE Zone: G5 + G5 Challenger: LordDan and Goliath What Faction can counter: High Council (Needs two counters, or one counter that counters them both. If both challengers win, there will be a separate poll next week. High Council must win both counters (or have one build beat both with one build – build must effectively counter both though.) Zone: C3 Challenger: Scarst What Faction can counter: Desert King ZOne: A15 Challenger: Adair What faction can counter: Desert King LEFTOVER Zone: E2 + E2 (Eastgate, worth 2 VP) Challenger: Disco86 + Jacob Nion What Faction can counter: High Council (Two Counters Required) (Due Date April 12) Who did I miss? Jacob Nion Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 Robuko also did a guerilla on K15. It is marked as a two point area. Quote
Disco86 Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 I don't understand why mine is "leftover". Jacob's build with the cyclops was published one week later. Or did you oversee us the time before ? Quote
SkaForHire Posted April 1, 2015 Author Posted April 1, 2015 (edited) It is marked as leftover because the counter time is longer because it is a city. It was put up on last week's list too. I was just marking that this one was still on the board to be countered I don't understand why mine is "leftover". Jacob's build with the cyclops was published one week later. Jacob Nion Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 Is there a special reason why due date for countering our attack is on 19th instead of 12th? That makes three weeks for a two point zone and our builds are not oversized. Quote

NOTE: I think some are missing, but if there is not a link in the “Category C Thread” I might miss the build! So make sure to record your attacks there. (And your counters please!) Just FYI, the way I think most of us have been doing it is we've been posting counters in the week thread and guerrillas in the Cat. C thread. Umbra-Mantis' and BMS' are both on the same (2 point?) square. However, it strikes me that Umbra's at least is not going to get approved which would make both invalid. How are we going to handle this? MassEditor's is also missing. NVM Edited April 1, 2015 by Kai NRG Quote

Umbra-Mantis' and BMS' are both on the same (2 point?) square. However, it strikes me that Umbra's at least is not going to get approved which would make both invalid. How are we going to handle this? MassEditor's is also missing. NVM Kai answered the three week question, places with VPs are cities, they automatically get 3 weeks. That was set forth in the first few weeks because it became evident that cities were going to be more valuable in VPs and critical to people's stories outside of the challenge. The discussion on this is in the rules thread. Kai, that would explain why I am missing counters... I was not checking that thread I will start doing so when I make the lists. I missed that L15 combo... IF UM fails to make the proper amount of approvals, then only BMS's will need to have a counter. Quote
Kai NRG Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 I missed that L15 combo... IF UM fails to make the proper amount of approvals, then only BMS's will need to have a counter. But it's a two point square. So a) shouldn't we have three weeks? and b) if one fails the other one can't attack on its own, right? (Entirely apart from the fact that both might fail.) Quote
SkaForHire Posted April 1, 2015 Author Posted April 1, 2015 But it's a two point square. So a) shouldn't we have three weeks? and b) if one fails the other one can't attack on its own, right? (Entirely apart from the fact that both might fail.) So I fixed that, and never checked the map... Man, that makes this a tough one. Especially since neither has the amount of approvals yet. I think we have to say if UM's does not go through, then the attack fails, but we still have a poll to see if BMS wins against a counter (if you don't counter, he gets free personal points, but that doesn't really matter to Ulandus.) Bottom line, DK can't take the city without winning two votes. Quote
MassEditor Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 (edited) Just a friendly notice that I have a CG against Adair at A15: A Warrior's Code Sorry, just realized this probably isn't the place for CGs just yet. Edited April 1, 2015 by MassEditor Quote
