Kai NRG Posted May 10, 2015 Posted May 10, 2015 With Ageven off in Qarkyr, the few inhabitants of Auner were left to scratch their heads and wonder what best to do to fend off the immanent threat posed by the Desert King. So they decided to put their heads together... and what better rendezvous then the settlement's inn? The other side: You haven't seen half of it yet though... this inn actually opens! The interior is fully playable! A close-up shot: So the inhabitants spent a few hours brainstorming together, and they quickly decided that obviously, the thing to do was to get rid of the DK tax collectors! And just how would they do that? That's Garmadon's business! Inspired in part by soccerkid's recent opening castle. This was really a lot of fun to build, especially the yellow roof. It fits together very nicely and is remarkably sturdy - for me. You didn't think I would give up my home town without a fight, I hope? C&C appreciated! Quote
Brick Man Studios Posted May 10, 2015 Posted May 10, 2015 Excellent build ! Love the roof like the others !!! Quote
Jacob Nion Posted May 10, 2015 Posted May 10, 2015 I really love how this reminds me on the blacksmith shop. Great roof! On a side note: isn't K15 your own square...again? Quote
robuko Posted May 10, 2015 Posted May 10, 2015 Yes but they're really keen to defend it against imaginary attackers. Nice build Kai, congratulations on being blogged by TBB! Quote
Captain Braunsfeld Posted May 10, 2015 Posted May 10, 2015 A charming inn with a very nice roof (in monkey-friendly colours). Quote
LittleJohn Posted May 10, 2015 Posted May 10, 2015 Fantastic work, Kai! The chimney and roof are excellent The landscape around it is very nice too. Congrats on TBB! Quote
Captain Dee Posted May 10, 2015 Posted May 10, 2015 Yes, the roof is great. But the chimney, walls and interior are good as well. I would like more windows but I understand the furnished interior might not easily allow it considering the size. The details on the base are nice and the atmosphere seems inviting. But it seems the man in the CMF actor outfit woke up on the wrong side of the bed... Overall this is very good! Quote
Balbo Posted May 10, 2015 Posted May 10, 2015 Wow, that's fantastic I really like the yellow roof and the interior. Quote
Garmadon Posted May 11, 2015 Posted May 11, 2015 Fantastic work Kai, great job on both the outside and the interior! The roof and chimney are very nice, and the beds and other furnishings are excellent as well! Congrats on the TBB! On a side note: isn't K15 your own square...again? Yes but they're really keen to defend it against imaginary attackers... Huh? Do these ring any bells? It was the two of you too... Quote
Kai NRG Posted May 11, 2015 Author Posted May 11, 2015 Thanks for all the comments! I really love how this reminds me on the blacksmith shop. Great roof! On a side note: isn't K15 your own square...again? Yes but they're really keen to defend it against imaginary attackers. Nice build Kai, congratulations on being blogged by TBB! Boy, you two are really forgetful. Or then, on the other hand, maybe you consider yourselves imaginary attackers. Thanks anyways! Yes, the roof is great. The details on the base are nice and the atmosphere seems inviting. But it seems the man in the CMF actor outfit woke up on the wrong side of the bed... Overall this is very good! Thank you! I agree that a few more windows might have been helpful, but then, windows are so annoying to build. Quote
LordDan Posted May 13, 2015 Posted May 13, 2015 Fantastic build Kai! The exterior is gorgeous and the fact that there is also a interior makes this a top class build! Quote
soccerkid6 Posted May 15, 2015 Posted May 15, 2015 Perhaps my favorite house from you. The roof, and chimney look great and you did a very good job with the hinging feature The white/tan whitewash looks a tad blocky in some sections, but other than that, a super build Quote

Very nice roof! Thank you! Perhaps my favorite house from you. The roof, and chimney look great and you did a very good job with the hinging feature The white/tan whitewash looks a tad blocky in some sections, but other than that, a super build Thanks SK! Ah yes, don't remind me about the whitewash! I have no idea how many times I was just like, I'm not going to be able to get this done! I think it gradually got blockier and blockier! Quote
MassEditor Posted May 18, 2015 Posted May 18, 2015 Lovely build Kai, definitely among my top favorites of yours (as a lot of your other recent builds are!). Great looking in with some sweet details to enjoy. The roof and white/tan walls are particularly nice, and I like how you made it to open. Excellent chimney too! Quote

This is also one of my best builds in my opinion, almost certainly one of my top medieval era builds! Quote
