B Rick Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 (edited) Hello, Now that I reached 40 my childhood love for Lego has recently been rekindled. Impressed by the new Lego standards from builders and the Lego company I made the step and bought some new sets for my own for the very first time in my life :) I'm an illustrator/designer/fine artist so aesthetics play an important role regarding to everything, including Lego. I don't have many bricks or much spare time so don't expect a lot of updates from me. I have just a few mocs and some mods. But ofcourse, if the mod is big enough it'll feature some of my little mocs ;) Oh, and I live in The Netherlands... I will leave a link to this 'master'thread in my signature. Because as of today I will put up links in this post to all my builds that I have posted on Eurobricks so everyone (including myself) that wants to can find all my creations at the click of a button. First one will be at the bottom, the newest one will be at the top. My builds on Eurobricks: ^ ZOINKS! Hotrod Mystery Machine ^ Bluesmobile 1974 Dodge Monaco Ex-copcar ^ Hotrod 1929 Model A-V8 Ford ^ Deathproof 1969 Dodge Charger ^ 1966 Schrunken Batmobile (7 stud wide) ^ 12208 Ghostbusters Ecto 1 modifications ^ Ghostbusters Ecto-1 (7 stud wide) ^ Spoiled Milk Masacre (Haunted House scene) ^ Icecream truck (7 stud wide) ^ Bloodbath (a Haunted House scene) ^ Schrunken Hearse (7 stud wide) ^ Hotrod 1923 Ford Model T ^ Hotrod Hearse (Modified Vampyre Hearse) ^ 1966 Batmobile (8 stud wide) ^ Disneyland Paris' Phantom Manor (Extremely modified Haunted House) Edited May 22, 2016 by B Rick Quote

Rick Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 So... Still can't visit my own profile or know where I can post my creations. Help me out guys! Where do I start? :) Welcome to Eurobricks. You can start by checking out the links in my signature. Lots of things are explained in the FAQ and tutorials. Quote
B Rick Posted November 22, 2013 Author Posted November 22, 2013 Thanks guys, for the warm welcome and quick responses. You can start by checking out the links in my signature. Lots of things are explained in the FAQ and tutorials. Thanks Rick, I'm aware of these 'how to' posts ;) I was just wondering if somebody could tell me what to do socially. I want to show my stuff but do I have get people to 'know' me first? For example, cause I introduced myself here. The unwritten social rules. And where to post... I have this car I built. It's a Batmobile. Where do I post it? Can't seem to find a cars or vehicle section... Ofcourse I could search for Batman and post it in 'Action themed'-forum, but I'd really would like car-builders to see what I've made. I have visited a few Lego-forums and ofcourse they have there own navigation. Yesterday I became a member of the mocpages but somehow I could not post my pics that I've uploaded. And this morning mocpages seams to have serverproblems. Can't make a visit... So I became a member of Eurobricks. Where I have to get yet another account, at Brickshelf which I did. I've uploaded my pics to the shelf and I'm eager to show em to all of ou guys. Hope someone can tell me. But in the meantime I'll search for answers myself ;) Quote

Showing your creations is a good way to have people get to know you. Your Batmobile would go in the Licensed Themes forum as it's a MOC based on an official LEGO license. Action Themes is for news, discussion and MOCs related to LEGO's "own" (non-licensed) action themes (e.g., Ninjago, Chima, Monster Fighters, etc.). Quote
B Rick Posted November 22, 2013 Author Posted November 22, 2013 (edited) Ah thanks Rick, That was what I meant... 'Licensed themes'. So... In this particular case my batmobile will be shown just to people with an interest in Batman. (why else would one click on this forum) Isn't there a specific car-section on it's own? Cause, What if I just build a car without a theme? Or better yet, a hotrod or a custom car section? Or does Eurobricks concentrate mainly on the official themes brought out by the Lego-company, and do we HAVE TO fit in there somehow...? Edit: I know I know, I'm a guy with a lot of questions... So thanks in advance for your time. Luckily for you guys I don't have so many time, or so many Lego's for that matter, so I won't be posting much in the future... ;) While I'm at it... Is there a reason why I'm still not permitted to visit my own profile? Edited November 22, 2013 by B Rick Quote
LegoPanda Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 welcome to eurobricks Jeffrey, nice to see an extra person from holland here Quote

Sticking (loosely) to TLG's theme classification allows us to keep news, discussion and related MOCs together. The other examples of cars you mention would, if built in minifig (or minidoll) scale, fit in the Town forum. While I'm at it...Is there a reason why I'm still not permitted to visit my own profile? There is, but that's for you to find out in the FAQ. Quote
B Rick Posted November 22, 2013 Author Posted November 22, 2013 Moehahah... Thanks again Rick. I will. In the meantime, I've succesfully made my first official post, including pics of my Batmobile. Cheers! Quote
eurotrash Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 Welcome to the forums Jeffrey! Good looking Batmobile.... Quote
B Rick Posted November 22, 2013 Author Posted November 22, 2013 (edited) Thanks for checking out, Eurotrash! Indeed LegoPanda, seems there are more than a few 'cheeseheads' here on Eurobricks. Good to know for specific Dutch questions. Hey, maybe there is a thread on here for dutch people discussing Dutch lego-related subjects like stores carrying Lego, Brickworld Utrecht, were to get single legobricks etc. Maybe we should start one... ;) The whole afternoon I've been wondering wheather EB is Holland-based... B Rick Posted March 26, 2014 Author Posted March 26, 2014 (edited) While spending several years on several forums I always found it very difficult to quickly see what other members I'm interested in have been posting in the past. Especially on a forum like Eurobricks its getting harder and harder to check out what they've been building. I found that using my signature as a link to a 'masterpage' where you can find everything in one first post is really helpfull. From there you can click directly to every seperate buildthread if you want to. Best of all it wil clean-up my signature in every post I make on the forum. So instead of four url's I now have only one. I hope to keep this up to date with all the weeks I've been doing to my creations. If I post new pics I'll let it know in this thread also. Cheers! SeptemLego Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 This is very cool! I do also own the haunted mansion and are adding light and stuff right now. Maybee an additional garage would be nice :). If I would like to schrink my vampire car too, would you like to assist me? Quote
B Rick Posted April 3, 2014 Author Posted April 3, 2014 (edited) Hi Mark, thanks for the kind words. If I have the time I will be more than happy to assist with the schrinkage of your hearse... Just ask what you want to know and I will try to answer. Good luck with your Haunted House. Great set, isn't it..? Mark, shall we continue this conversation in my schrunken hearse thread? Thanks! http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=90035entry1774814 Edited April 4, 2014 by B Rick Quote
SeptemLego Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 That sounds great :). Did you need a lot of additional parts which where not included by the hearse set? The lack of my original childhood lego collection makes it neccessary to buy the stuff brick by brick ^^. Quote
jockyboy Posted July 27, 2015 Posted July 27, 2015 O.M.F.G i so need these shrunken cars for my haunted house the 2 hearse are so good i don't suppose you have done instructions for the mod of these 2 cars (ghostbusters and vampyre hears) as i wouldn't have a clue where to start doing anything like this you have done a superb job of these and am totally jealous lol Quote
