  1. I like ackbar a lot. Grievious is a little bit on the edge for me as it doesn't look that much "legoish" anymore :-D
  2. I don't recall hearing anything about something like that. But I think it'd just be a matter of time before they think about it... As for which console ? The DS gets my vote, especially with the new MP3 function :-) I'd go for a wii next, but you can't even find one here, it's sold out everywhere ! :-D
  3. I like it. I'll also try to break the barrier of saying "cool moc" and reach the point where I explain why I like it X-D It looks really like my kind of Mech, especially the arms. The missile launchers are a neat addition aswell, and the claws just add this "warrior" final touch. Now on the "negative" aspect, the backpack, or the missing backback is a little disappointment. The overall look suggests a really heavy machine, and seing an empty back is sort of strange. ;-)
  4. What ? I don't see anything :-D As for adventurers, I also think that sticking to a color palette would be good. Still the sets are amazing as they could well be sold by TLC.
  5. I think it has to do with you not using punctuation X-D
  6. Welcome in here Simon ! I hope you will enjoy your discussions here :-) You managed to gather quite an impressive collection it seems. Nice MOCs too !
  7. ROFL :-D :-D :-D :-D
  8. Nope, you're correct. They use the term classic because they need to differenciate old 80s sets from the new 2000+ waves. About politics, I don't think there is such a big "political" aspect here at EB. People aren't usually told not to do something. it's just that with the pirate forum, Mister Phes went in a lot of directions at the same time, so we asked him to slow down the process a little bit so it doesn't disturb all the other forums (and the members). So it hink it's more about schedduling and not about interdiction. :)

    Build it MISB...

    She's blond after all :-D
  11. We're investigating
  12. Ponctuation...
  13. And what browser are you using ?
  14. The aquazone base has no roof either :-/
  15. I wander who was crazy enough to buy it :-D Well I like this new version better. As always, people think the old one was better while it just wasn't. This interior is just more detailed and the squid is just amazing.
  16. Never forget that some people don't have tha bility to build models like this themseleves. Plus star wars collectors would just collect anything star wars related and don't have the time to build. Everytime I see a star wars MOC, I'm not amazed by the overpriced auctions. Star wars freaks are special.
  17. In fact we had an "as much as you can eat" meal. So basically this was the first plate, we had a second. Unfortunatly due to time restriction we weren't able to eat that much. And I need that underware :-D
  18. Since I don't have the problem I dunno what you're talking about. Does it make the same kind of stuff at other boards (invision like) ? Did you upgrade your internet browser lately ?
  19. nice ! *y*
  20. out of stock in the US ! in one day ! *g* that's crazy ! X-O
  21. (date : last week end of april)
  22. The world juniorize doesn't mean a thing by itself actually. And it wasn't censored, it was just switching to a definition of the word. "juniorize" refers to big pieces but only appeared with old grumpy afols complaining about every single set out. Sets always contained "<insert that tiresome argument>" pieces. Lego pirate hull ? Ever heard of them ? I hardly can find a more "<insert that tiresome argument>" piece. While I wouldn't mind about the word "<insert that tiresome argument>" being used to describe sets aimed at younger kids, using it for pieces seems rather... Well... This thread is a good example of the problems with the various uses made of that word. You jump in and create a thread pointing out a piece and say "could it not have been just built from smaller pieces?", thinking "yes", meaning "<insert that tiresome argument> piece of crap" in your head. But no, the piece does fill a purpose. As almost all the "<insert that tiresome argument>" pieces. Burps and Lurps have their purpose. Windscreen aswell. Those are just lego pieces. Otherwise we wouldn't even have 1X1 bricks as they could be built with 3X1/3 bricks. We're fighting for pieces diversity, and I think this is why we hate that word so much. Even the most "<insert that tiresome argument>" piece can be an excellent building tool if well used. There are plenty of nice MOCs everywhere to demonstrate this statement.
  23. I was away this week so couldn't reply, sorry for that. Hobbes discussed the main points. 1000 mb is plenty of space for a forum. After it all depends what you want. But before Commander wolf, have you ever typed www.eurobricks.com ? Oh my god, it's redirecting right here ! So we own the domain, and pay for it... As for the cost : - Web hosting is the more expensive for big websites. You'll need some space on a hard drive, and an internet connection to the server that can handle multiple connection. Up to more than 200 members simultaneously for us. All depends on your website. - Domain name : not expensive - IPB forum system : about 50$ per year, it's not free, but you have a support. So every time you have some problem, you can mail the technical service. Plus as stated by Hobbes, it has the lightest database. - Some technical knowledges, you can't buy that - A LOT of time and dedication
  24. Thank you for this battle report. I can see much efforts involved, you even draw "whitedwarf" like pictures so we can see what happened. How long did the battle take ? And how long to set everything up ?
