The bad thing being that Lego used to create things like that. I remembered that this connectivity thing made me wanna have all the castle sets just to see how they'd fit together
-
Can't wait for the review ! This is the kind of babies we should use if we ever make a show at legoland next year. Like a customed rally version of it
-
Indeed, we'll organize everything ! But don't worry, it will be really pro (like always !). I hope you're not afraid to eat french frogs at every meal though X-D
-
Yes, we performed so well lol ! I am glad this competition is going well. This is one of the most successfull contest we had so far (if not the most successfull one). And it was also a nice occasion for us to meet the people from MCN ! :)
-
any chance it'll be translated in english at some point ?
-
This just made me laugh lol. ROFL As for my entry, well yes, I thought a little bit of fun couldn't hurt X-D And also you wanted a heroe for Eurobricks, well yoda is our heroe, he is just watching for the bad kids and emprison them :)
-
Origin Story: One day, we were discussing how to manage bad behaviour at the Eurobricks board, and Mister Phes wrote this : The Torture chamber was born. See, it's here ! Now let's see how it works : A typical kid is arriving on EB But his bad attitude is instantaneously noticed by some dark admin The kid is immediately put into the chamber ! Hero Name: Yoda Secret Identity: Admin X-Wingyoda Powers/Weapons/Abilities: A complete range of torture tool. His special powers include avatar distortion, wiping and spanking Other Details: No real other detail. Sorry, it has to be done X-D

Beside the queen, are the other MF glued like keyrings ?

OMG ! A monkey Island Fan !

Should be some sun shining. But Sunday it will be occasionaly raining. I'd be interested into some more shots of the ship itself, as I assume many other members would be. Those guys are just crazy about ships, sometimes they don't even know how to build something else ! :-D
-
Nice MOC ! I really like the mix of cultures you managed to add to this little town. It gives the scene this exotic feeling that too many pirates creations are missing. I alos like the fact you created a port, it's so good to see some real buildings instead of a lonely ship :-)
-
To talk to anyone in this manner is not acceptable IMO lol
-
just for the record 20 dollars mean around 12-15 euros. For big items it would cost around the same in Europe. So it's still cheap |-/

Aye, im with Phes here. The fantasy aspect makes it fun and allows more room for general creativity, while going too far (as they very nearly did in PotC 2) is just rediciulous and not much fun for those of us who like PIRATES. - The Lord Admiral I third this. I think some little phantasy elements could add. But not too many ! Vikings had quite a good balance IMO

What do you do with your ships after you build them?
Jipay replied to SkaForHire's topic in LEGO Pirates
I might take pictures, but only show MOCs of mine on (really) rare occasions. Then they are always detsroyed, and I come up with something else. -
Look what I just got - Report your latest Pirate LEGO acquisitions
Jipay replied to V()()D()()'s topic in LEGO Pirates
I don't think you made a bad deal. Time is passing an no pirate theme is in sight, so the supplies for good minifigs might be short soon. And this only because there are those crazy guys who like to see armies of minifig imperial soldiers. Errmm, wait that's us ! :-D I understand you can't get enough of them, they look so cool, especially when they are numerous -
I nice start ! I mean, conidering the parts you have, you did quite a good job. Are there any plan to expand this creation a little bit ?
-
but it won't, we've been waiting for a robot movie for ages.
-
It's good fortune he was "only" producer then. Seriously, no producer should ever get involved into replying to criticisms on blogs over the internet. Especially in such a bad way. There are communication departement for this :-|
-
NO matter what, it's not a way to talk about people : I would almost forgive a 12 year old boy for wirtting this, but an adult ???
-
As mentioned somewhere else, they should have calle dit robot wars or something like that. The robots look cool, but closer to what a futuristic mech would be. It's also the first time I'm seing some "Rep" answering question in such an offensive way. Must be one of those "creative" people with a giant ego. Sounds like we have a challenger to Alien VS predator :-D
-
What happened prior to this post ? Seems like this guy did something...
-
Well ebay is getting more and more complex... I doubt that it's any good for them ! As for Lego being cheaper int he US, it's a fact, believe me. Even with shipping costs (at ground rate) it's still cheaper X-O

Pictorial review: old style Lego boxes (Airtech 8868)
Jipay replied to gylman's topic in General LEGO Discussion
At a time of climatic changes, I think it's good to make crapy boxes. I think they just should reduce the size of the box, nowadays precious things are sold in small boxes. I think kids are less sensitive to the size of the packaging (see videogames). There's only adults (or 0.0000001% of the kids) to feel the need of putting back all the pieces back into the orginal box. Others will just throw the boxes away. I also concure with the stealing bricks aspect. See all the LUL SW sets : how many boxes without the test figs did we see in shops ? Be honest, a lot !
