indeed, we are blessed with cheap pirate figs. This theme was highly popular in our regions, hence the massive offer on the second hand market and the cheap prices. Still everything else beside this (including non lego things) are really expensive, so I guess it's not that much of a bargain *pirate*

Warhammer paints are also watter based. You have to use a spray that covers the fig and then only you are using the warhammer paint on it. Since this paint is one of the best in term of quality for modeling, I would recommend it for any type of modelism *sweet* (and no, I don't have any gamesworkshop share :-P )

??? I have been painting warhammer figs for years and there are a lot of plastic models. their paint definitly doesn't melt anything !

well I don't see the point. Lego bricks are lego bricks. Buying a 320$ misb set just for the pleasure of opening the box (or even worst, just to let the box closed) seems weird ! He could have built 2 for that price by using bricklink :-/ BUt that's his money :-D

Just for the record, some people are living by creating promotional lego sets for companies that aren't made by Lego ! I know of one french guy who is doing this with trucks. He is actually selling them in some similar boxes. So it could well be an american version of the same job !

well this could be done... We could set up a tagotheque with all sorts of tags, but it'll take some time. So all in all I guess we'll do it step by step.

Well i do agree on the fact that the AFOL communities are already structured, but I also do think that there are a lot of AFOLs that are posting their MOC on brickshelf and aren't registered anywhere, so it might be an opportunity for them to join a community and then starting to browse other websites (and the best of all !). the thing I'm definitly not sure about is the studless thing.

Indeed, I don't think everyone should argue so much on what the tags should be or not. There will be some tags, and most of the people with a real interest in a theme will get the related badge. So now worries ! I think we will make it simple and respectfull so everyone is pleased *sweet*

yes, some real treasures are always hidden in those box ! Excellent ! I think there are still so many boxes full of lego in the world's attics that we don't own yet ! Can you imagine all those old castle and classic space sets waiting for us ? doh !

oh boy, another "pro" MOCer website. There is already one, which is even more extreme, were you can only register if you are sponsorized by two already registered user. But at least, they have the decence to stay hidden and to have a real systeme that ensure the quality of the displayed models. Now the BS website seems a little bit more, well... I'm not sure. First of all, the concept of zero stud isn't IMO the guaranty of a nice looking model. Anyway, we'll see, I wish them good luck *y*

Actually Swiss chocolate is knownto be (and is in my opinion) the best in the world ! And I'm not even swiss, so it's an impartial advice *sweet*

I will quote a lego Rep :"Kids want vehicules". So I guess the only thing you can do is to hope that one day kids will like buildings...
