I went for the Batcave. In my opinion it has a lot of nice features that the Asylum doesn't have ! It also contains a lot of stuff you can use in various MOCs later on. And most important : it contains pinguins !

How is PVC weird? Its a very common substance. I think my title suggests I'm plastic, artificial or superficial. :'-( No, it shows you know the true meaning of PVC which most people don't. That's why it's funny.

Well titles don't have to say anything. Some people ended up with titles about something they said that is a little bit weird.

I don't think it's exactly the same actually. The lego pirate theme tended to be for purists who were adding a lot of realistic details to their MOC. If I get what BM is refering to, he's more "complaining" about the fantasy aspect that is popin up in many MOC lately. No big deal though I think

Well, I have many for one reason : if Phes finds the price of pirate sets cheap in France, Islanders are even cheaper ! ;-)

Miniland is in miniland scale for 2 main reasons : - It has always been like this, even when MF didn't exist - Some people say it is because miniland allows a greater level of detail But some of the latest MOCs at Billund diplay MFs (ie : the football stadium), so this might change a bit in the near future !

Ah, excellent. The worst thing is that I have a load of islander but didn't even notice they were missing. I guess it's like in many other lego themes : people tend to forget about standard characters such as civilians. Your topic makes me wanna create some MOC for those poor islanders

Ebay is your friend, in the USA you can find auctions for stormies at 3-2$ each. That's not a bad price. This MOC is definitly impressive, I just like all the attention to small details. I think this is the kind of MOC we should all have in our house when friends came. Shown this way, our weird hobby becomes something really attractive and more people might join our community X-D

Free licence ? mmhh, sounds like a nice concept. But you are right in saying that it uses a lot of japanse animes stuff. If only they could do this for castle (Japanese animation has countless great castle based stories)

Just a quick welcome. I wouldn't recommend you to visit Lugnet. It's totaly not user friendly and quite messy. The other place we could recommend depend on your tastes. if you're more a castle guy, then Classic Castle is your friend. If you fall into Star Wars, then fbtb is the place. If you like all the themes, then stay with us :-P
