Exo-Force Joint Socket
KimT replied to DoctorDude234's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
This has been well answered. I'll move this to the Tecnhic Forum where such questions are best kept for future reference. -
"There's something grim on the horizon." "The other LEGO themes have ganged up and are sending their best troops to overtake the Star Wars Universe. The Vikings have devised an interstellar longboat wielding proton cannons and the Ninjas are at their side manuevering Stealth fighters. What are the poor Rebel and Imperial troops to do? Could this be the end of the license?" Breaking it all down! The Contest Rules: Build a non-Star Wars themed vessel, depicting an existing or discontinued LEGO theme's version of a Star Wars fighter/vehicle/whatever - and yes Fabuland is a theme :tongue There's no limit for how big it may be, but no less than 200 pieces. No more than 20 minifigs in the entry. Minifigs and brick-built minifigs don't count as pieces. Brick-built minifigs like for example buzz-droids count as 1 minifig. No clone brands only LEGO is allowed. - with the exception of custom made minifigs, helmets and weaponry A brick-built stand is allowed, but doesn't count towards the minimum of 200 pieces. Make sure to note that the stand isn't part of your MOC. The entry must be minifig scaled. Entries must have a background story, a note on which theme it's 'from' and which vessel you've copied. No digital designs - only brick built entries. Entries have to be new - no old MOCs 5 pics in entry (front, top, rear, left-side and right-side) Entries should have a link to picture folder (non-resized pics, close-ups and stuff like that for the rest of us to enjoy) Max picture size for deeplinked pictures is 600x800 pixels No webcam or phonepictures - The pictures must be undisturbed - make a studio, anything but a table with a cat in the background, nor is a LEGO built background allowed. Contest entries must be posted before the 15th of June 2009 2100 CET. Staff can enter this contest, but only for show-off. They can't be voted for or win. Only one entry per person. All entries posted until the end date of the contest are considered Works In Progress. All entries not living up to the rules on the end date are disqualified All entries will be indexed - this does not mean they are qualified or 'good' enough All entries will be commented 1 week before the end date by me, giving guidelines on how to qualify for the vote Entries are to be posted within Watto's Junkyard and type "Invasion Contest Entry" in the 'sub-title' of the topic. What's to win? The 1st prize is a pick between a Clone Wars Obi Wan Keychain with EB Star Wars Logo or the EB Stormtrooper. The 2nd prize is what number one didn't pick. The 3rd prize is the same calendar as in the Vehicle Contest. Why do this? The real challenge here is to integrate the vessels of the Star Wars theme with another LEGO theme. It doesn't have to be a MOD of an existing model, all you need is to ensure that the MOC you've done, resembles the vessel you've 'copied'. Meaning that you should 'copy' a craft into another theme. Examples could be: City Renovation AT-AT Pirate Barracuda AT-TE Western RGS Ninja Stealth Falcon Viking Y-Longboat Good luck to all and remember to have fun building for this contest. Pics of all three prizes can be found in the prize topic within Watto's Junkyard.

Lego Star Wars 10th anniversary exclusive on May 3 and 4
KimT replied to Commander Assassin's topic in LEGO Star Wars
C'mon guys cool it. What's wrong with you? Here TLG's giving us a free poster and all you do is whine about it? You don't have to get this poster. Stop your petty whining please. I think it's cool they've made a poster for us - now I need to find out how to get it. I really couldn't care less wether they've included all those 281 minifigs done so far. A 160 is fine by me... it'll still look cool on the wall in my home. If you want a perfect poster, then I suggest you buy every single minifig there is and do your own. A wise man once said that if you've got nothing good to say then just keep quiet. And I am fairly sure they forgot nothing. It's all a question of what the choose to include on this poster. Do you really thing they've got no idea as to which minifig they put into production over the years? Don't be so naive. -
That's a great set-up and display you've got there. I wish I had the room and display cabinet to do something like that. Right now I keep my entire lot of Star Wars minifigs in a plastic box some 30x20x40cm. All of them neatly packed in ziplock bags with episode reference written on them. I once kept some of the troopers on display, but after discovering that 3 of my scout troopers had gone 'yellow' and a few other minifigs had 'sun-burns', I decided to pack'em all away from the sun. I do plan to let them 'out' once I get a basement or something similar The only things on display right now are the AT-OT and the DS2 UCS.

I would love to get me one of those posters. Imagine every single star wars minifig on a poster What's not to like about that? -
That's so funny...not sure exactly why But seeing stormies do something like that is just..well....funny. Never thought of them as humans.

Don't be sorry. MOC's, reviews and stuff like that isn't considered 'dead' within the Star Wars Forum. Comments are always welcome

Sheesh! Why do this? A fine would have done just fine. Now they've handed Brawn the win this year. That's 30 points down the drain and in my opinion not very good for the sport. A real shame the way I see it - Formula1 is becoming too much show and far too little about racing. The F in FIA doesn't stand for Ferrari, does it?

Add this to the rocket launcher and you've got a futuristic version of the RPG-7 Great work pedro, I'll make sure to copy good ol' "Painless" and the rocket launcher

Still regular flu kills more people a year than the swine flu has done so far Anyways most pharmacies are already sold out on flu medicine here and we're pretty far from Mexico - Go! Masshysteria Go Go Go! Think back 10 years and we probably wouldn't have heard about this, at least not on the same massive scale as today. This mass media hysteria is the price of modern globalization. Sorry to hear that your future visit to Mexico might get cancelled over this. Hopefully this virus can't live long without a host and it'll die out.

Meh! 50% evil.... and I ticked almost everything into a yes... I guess that the ones I didn't tick are pretty evil

Wow Great work hopeso Reminds me of this beauty: "Get away from her, you bitch!"

As it did in other countries. Sadly the US members seem to believe that whenever a set is exclusive to some US chain of stores, then it's the same all over the world I see plenty of so-called exclusives in regular toy-stores here and it's getting annoying to keep track of which US chain of stores has this or that set as an exclusive. I guess it's the American way of shopping and advertising that requires stuff to be 'exclusive' Let's not discuss such matters here as I am sure it's different for Asia and Oceania. Let's keep this discussion about the sets and leave the availability discussion to the topic on just that (which can be found in the Star Wars Forum Index). - see how I got the last word?
-
What do you mean?
-
What?! What are you guys talking about?
-
That's not CopMike's pictures.

Batman, King's Castle and some Exo-Force. Can't wait until we get there Looks like the few missing Exo sets to complete my collection are there. And perhaps I should get me another AT-ST UCS? And that Fill A Bag section looks good. Great find Holodoc

Wow that's absolutely amazing Not sure about how sturdy the legs' attachment to the feet are, but it sure looks cool. Neat work and great use of helmets

Let's not forget that Brawn have had a lot of time developing this new racer of their. The other themes had to fight for the championship and at the same time design the new racer. Still the Brawn racer rocks and the other themes haven't done well enough. I am sure that the European chapter of this year's season will show some heavy upgrades. What puzzles me is that Brawn haven't introduced any updates at all so far, so whatever they're cooking for the next GP, it could be big And what happened to Mr Shadow? He couldn't race without having Button right in front of him? This reminds me of the good old days with Ferrari where he was lost without Mr S in front of him to show the way

Really?

Not much showing your army in those past posts is there? Let's keep this topic about showing your armies and not talking about which sets you have and don't have. I don't want to get "Medieval on you!"

What does that have to do with the license discussion? Try to keep a lid on excessive use of emoticons as well. Why would they need to make an episode 7 or another CW film? How old are you and have you read the site guidelines?
