    What do you do?

Oh my, you're Ross?! What do I do? I'm a paid moderator on a small internet site and earn a little on the side as a teacher.
  2. Perhaps you should reread his title?
  3. Nice MOCs. Welcome to Eurobricks. I'll move this to the license forum, since it's Batman and therefore it belongs there
  4. I think You'll get more feedback on this in the Town section. Loads of Agents and Alpha Team fans there. I'll move this for you. And good luck with the World Dominance thingy
  5. Thank You Croatia for lending us your 49'er boat. No thanks to the rest for filing complaints Thank you judges for allowing the victory
  6. They already did bring out a new one. I guess that's the reason. The old Castle Chess is obsolete and they need to get rid of it. I've got one and it's a massive BattlePack that adds a lot to your army of Crownies and Skeletons. Sadly the plate is glued as the other small chess sets.
  7. That sounds like a super solution. I checked the BL store and I'm quite impressed with the designs. So buying the visor from Arealight would be my chosen solution as well.
  8. That's a shame. Perhaps You'll be able to modify the helmets with a scalpel or something. It could be possible...if the holes are too small, otherwise it would be a dumb move, since nothing would fit after a little cutting
  9. Well I'm a collector and therefore I have to get all Star Wars sets. But I am also a great fan of Castle and with the new Castle theme, everything is so cool that I must have it. The result is that I've decided to pass other sets and themes. I would love some of the modular buildings, but in order to save money, I don't buy them. LEGO Star Wars will end in a few years and then this won't be an issue anymore
  10. You should email that question to Arealight. You can do it via his Bricklink store. My guess is that he's the best one to answer that question. And congrats on your prize
  11. That video has nothing to do with that set. 35 seconds of noisy intro and the rest is a blurry pic of a minifig accompanied by a rant on releasing this to the public. Smells like "hit-hunting" to me. Perhaps You should take it off and apologize to all the people who watched it, because they thought you had the real deal.
  12. More realistic weapons? Like the scimitars in the Castle theme? or the fire extinguishers used for handguns in the Agents theme? More realistic vehicles? like 6 stud wide cars instead of 4 studs? or the use of mudguards? Please explain your points a little more, I'm confused as to what you actually mean. Do you mean they're getting more realistic all over? Both non-license and licensed themes?
  13. And I agree. Well, except I haven't bought it, yet Now off to actually buy this
  14. That would end up earning you a lot of money. Since this pic has been used for the last two topics on this, not counting your own that is. I've added the pic (yours) to the picture thread and I suggest discussions on this small Jetix Magazine and the free Clone continue there.
  15. And this is also mentioned as the golden uzi. Please go back and read it again. Sometimes preliminary pics are accidentily used as you've linked. The final version is this: Now can we stop?
  16. Yes I know and they didn't change the guns in last minute. The preliminary design had guns, but the final didn't. All LEGO sets are done preliminary, then they're evaluated cost-benefit and ethically. Then we get the final set. Nothing odd or unnatural about that. Of course the designers would love guns in the agents line, but the rule is and will be for a long time - NO GUNS! I've already explained this in my former post on this matter.
  17. Great site Jordan It's cool having all your MOCs in one spot - makes it easier for the rest of us to enjoy them.
  18. Huh Did you read my post? Non licensed themes will never (at least right now) be flesh/skin coloured. The rules are not invisiable invisible. They're quite clear: Licensed themes = skin/flesh NON-Licensed themes = yellow What difficult there?
  19. The reason that TLG introduced the fleshtone minifigs and weapons in the licensed themes is very simple. - "The fans wanted it". TLG made a consumer questionaire and it showed that a lot of fans (all ages) wanted the licensed themes to be "more" like the movies. Kids found Harry Potter odd, when he was depicted as a yellow minifig. - The same applied for Star Wars and Batman. So they changed it. Also the introduction of handguns in the licensed themes is for the same reason. Fans didn't like using loudhailers as SW blasters and so forth. This is also the reason that there's NO guns in the Agents theme. - Non-licensed themes still aren't allowed to have "real" guns. Otherwise we'd been given a golden uzi in one of the Agents sets. So in short - we (the fans) wanted realism and we got it. Now tell me that they (TLG) don't listen to us.
  20. Welcome fellow Star Wars fan. I hope Eurobricks will serve your needs. Please do tell us a little more about yourself.
  21. Welcome to Eurobricks.
  22. Welcome to Eurobricks and thanks for that elaborate description of yourself.
  23. Welcome to Eurobricks
  24. That's a very impressive castle MOC. I wish I had the time and space to start building something like that. I guess having a 1½ yrs old daughter kinda disrupts that. Could you post a few pics of the interior, if there is a such? Thanks for sharing your work with us.
  25. I just bought this set and I actually impresses me. I've not finished building it yet, but it is actually quite good. It holds a lot of usefull bricks and awesome minifigs. Yes, I like the fleshtones and the hordes of jedi knights that we're getting at the moment.
