  1. hmm.. true.... i still miss it though... although the idea of a new girl theme intrigues me. any chance it'll be like a new version of Paradisa?
  2. wow... i could actually see my brother buying that, if he had the money...
  3. hey there!! this is a pretty neat place!

  4. well, thanks, brother! this is a pretty neat little place!
  5. yeah, i'm a train fan too!! currently the only one i have is the new Toy Story one. i really like it, and think it'd be cool to motorize it one day... a couple years ago, i'd managed to save enough to get the New Holiday Train, but alas, as i was putting in my order from the Lego Shop at Home cataloge, i was informed it was currently on backorder and pretty much discontinued... ARGGGHHHH!!!! i wasn't going to give up easily, so i actually went and called EVERY Lego store in the U.S. and also turned up empty handed... i was pretty distraught, so i consoled myself with the next best thing, when i went to my 'not so local' Lego Store, a while later... really cool Belville Wintry Stables and The Skating Princess sets... and a couple other Christmasy promo sets... since then, i've been on a quest to get the Holiday Train, and also the OLD one that came out about 15 years ago... (when i was like about 6 and didn't have any money.) *sigh* that's my sad tale...
  6. yeah, unfortunately the OLD one seems to be obsolete, but i'm thinking i might still have a shot at getting the NEW one... i've seen on Bricklink people actually selling the entire Holiday Train Collection, which of course sells for more than just the train itself, but i'd like to have the stuff to go with it, so it'd be better and cheaper to buy it all at once.. then i can just switch the motorized system from one train to another as i feel like it... seems logical... i mean after all, that wouldn't be too hard a task. with Legos anything is possible... ooh, i think i just discovered my new forum sig!!
  7. too bad... well, at least it'll make it easier to get the older sets, if there's nothing new coming out to divert my spending money....
  8. just might have to do that.... thanks ya'll for the warm welcome! been enjoying it here so far! and now i'm wondering what took me so long to join this awesome place...
  9. he's become my favorite figure in the series for that reason... i'm kind of a die-hard Star Trek fan.... although i really like the snowboarder and the hula dancer too, and the apeman is kinda cute... plus i like the stereo that the rapper guy has...
  10. ooh... so that's where they got the idea for the Klingons....
  11. cute!!
  12. i'm a HUGE fan of Michael W. Smith, aka 'Smitty'. in fact i'd go so far as to say, i'm pretty much his biggest fan! ever since i heard Place In This World on the radio, about 6 years ago, i've been totally in love... the only thing stopping me from having all of his music and books is the lack of money i have... but i have all but 2 of his studio albums, and i'm only lacking 3 books and about 5 dvd's and a couple exclusive singles... not bad...
  13. a couple days ago i bought The White House, and didn't have to pay no stinkin' sales tax, either!!!
  14. i'm currently rockin' out to Save Me From Myself - Michael W. Smith
  15. hello out there!! been hearing about this place for months from my brother who is an avid Lego Maniac. some of that has rubbed off on me a little, and i particularly love the Belville series!! especially the icey castles and wintry themed sets. in general i also love a lot of the Christmasy themed Lego sets. i'm also a bit of a Trekkie, and would love to see some Star Trek Legos in the future... *psst.. Lego Belville Star Trek anyone?* i'm a HUGE fan of Michael W. Smith, aka 'Smitty' hence the username 'smittyfan' P.S. don't let the name or the epic picture of Michael W. Smith make you think i'm a guy. (i get that alot, as i've been a member of numerous forums and online games and communities.) anyways, have a good day all, and Live Long And Prosper! \V/ ~ smittyfan ~
  16. okay, this is gonna sound strange, but i'm wondering if anyone out there remebers the OLD Lego Holiday Train... years ago there was another one back in the early 1990's if i had to guess a year i'd say around 94-96 ish... anyone else remember that one or have any idea where i can obtain it?
  17. well, that answered a question of mine... i looked through the instruction booklet about 5 times trying to figure out where they go... i finally resolved to the fact that they're extra parts... and some day i'm gonna try motorizing my train, for fun! i'm thinking the easiest way is get a job, save up some money, and break down and pay $400 for the entire Holiday Train set, on Bricklink... win-win right?
  18. or for once i might find myself actually de-facing a Lego brick, and painting the hair part black... ya, know, now that i think about it, the face itself has a certain Vulcan resemblance... maybe it was meant as a subliminal way to integrate Star Trek into LEGO's, without having to buy the rights, or mess with legal procedures...
  19. a while back when i was at my 'not so local' Lego store, i was sad that a certain Belville set was out of stock, and wondered if it could be ordered... apparently it can now only be gotten on places like Bricklink or Amazon... (for about 2-3 times the original price) i was informed by the guy there that the Belville series was on it's way out, and there weren't any plans for new sets any time soon... he also mentioned that is was going to be 'replaced' with something else... so is that really true? has anyone else heard about this?
  20. well, i've now done the survey about 3 times... and i figure the reason why some of the options are different each time is that so many people request different things that it would fill an entire page or two to fit all the options... so the computer just randomly re-generates options each time... it makes sense, but it would be nice to see all the options at a time...
  21. i voted!! and i put in the suggestion for STAR TREK LEGOS!!!! hmmm... i should do that survey again, and put in a vote for more Belville icey castles sets... and i also voted for being able to get more variety in the pick a brick stuff... i'm on both sides of the issue of stickers vs. printed... it's cool to get to put the stickers on stuff, but it's also cool having it pre-printed on... i guess a little of both is good!!!
  22. AWESOME!!!! i so need to get that one!! maybe there's hope for making a LEGO Spock after all!!!
  23. yeah, i really liked the icy castle sets best!! they shoulda kept 'em around longer...
  24. hey, not bad! vicodin bottle was a nice touch!
  25. awww... he's so cuteee!!!!!!!!!!!!!
