Remember that this is a "build your own impulse set" competition. There MUST be one and only one Lego man in the set. Not using the mini-fig isn't an option. (I do say this in the rules. ;-) )
-
No, no change. Remember guys, these are the rules; This makes a maximum of 31 pieces if you use a mini-fig.
-
:-| OK OK, you can do a Block Block entry! :-P
-
Yeah, why not! :-D What do you have in mind? It better not be Block Block... :-P Do you have a mini-fig Bionicle? That would be within the rules... Yes. I will go though all the entries soon and decide on three groups. I wanted to leave it as long as possible to reduce the chance of one group being flooded.

Another great find! *wub* You have been a busy boy today! X-D

Official Speed Racer Licensed Product in 2008

Great work... and great news too! *sweet* Looking at the instuctions it seems that they are built more simply than I feared. I really want these now! *wub* -
:-D I was have to read that several times to understand what you meant. OK, OK, I take it back. :-P I have agreed with you more than once. :-$ I've ruined my reputation now... :'-(
-
Err.... ahhh... as others have said, this one needed more questions! I want to know more! (The jokes were the definite highlight of this one! :-D ) Thanks SirNadroj for answering the bonus round... X-D Just the same; more interviews! *sweet* That's a tad rude! 8-

It was my dream to agree with Yoda for once! X-D
-
No and No; I'm with *yoda* here. :-D But it's just a dream anyway as Lego can't make a Star Wars set like this. They are pushing the rules enough with the Battle packs.
-
Since they are removable I would consider them as accessories...

This competion is going great so far! *sweet* Thanks guys...there are some really great entries too. *wub* No, sorry to say it was in the rules from the start, and it was rule number one too! ;-) Remember the goal of this contest is to Build your own Impulse set in the same style as the real ones. A baseplate would never fit in the box, and would be too expensive as well. I saw your entry and I hoped that you would realise your mistake and correct it.... :-$ At the time I was sleeping, and later on I was finishing my Mobile Still MOC. ;-) Thanks for answering the question in my absense! X-D

IMPORTANT: The Mailing List - Newsletters and Bulletins

As needed; providing it isn't more than once a week I'm cool. HTML; I don't like PDF that much for small documents and I can't see why you would need it... -
Galnor Brighthelm was known around the mine as a heavy drinker... and if Dwarves start saying that of someone it truly means something! :-P To him though it was more than just the drinking; he loved to make his own as well, perhaps more so. His favourite drink was Bourbon, and he never found enough time to make enough of it. His stocks were running low one day and he had planned to make a new batch on the coming weekend when disaster stuck; the King had decided that the weekend was a good time to remind the goblins and trolls who was boss around the mountain. Galnor was furious... but as the saying goes "necessity is the mother of invention"; Instantly he decided that he needed to make his distilling more portable and efficient! First of all he thought that he would save some time by moving his fermenter and his distiller on a mobile platform so he could take it with him during those constant campaigns. This was harder than he thought as he soon found that wheels became bogged too easily. Thus he added a flexible portable road around the wheels and he found they worked much better. To save further time he added a digger, shredder and collector unit to the front of his device so he could find vegetation to ferment while he pushed it around. While this was a good idea, it all became too hard to push for even a dwarf. At this point his greatest idea happened; why not try to use the heat from his alcohol powered still to move the platform? This was harder than he thought, but eventually he designed a turbine that fit inside... this went on and on but by Friday evening, after three sleepless nights, he was ready for a test run! He jumped in and to his surprise it worked. He realised straight away a flaw in his design; he couldn't see above the fermenter... but he took it out for a spin anyway! All night he drove around, mulching, fermenting and distilling as he went. and by 6am he had a full barrel of double distilled alcohol. Eagerly he climbed onto the back and gave it a quick try... and it was good! The flavour was a bit strange, but it sure was interesting! He sealed up the barrel, and grabbed his hammer as he knew it was time for war. He was tired, but Dwarves are long used to that as they frequently march for days when on campaign. By lunch they arrived at the camp, and instantly charged into battle... but there was nothing left to fight! The entire goblin camp was flattened... with the only sign of the culprit being a track though the forest leading back to.. "The mine!" yelled the King, "Whatever did this is heading back to the mine!" They reformed their ranks and charged back home, arriving in half the time it took the first time... but the mine was untouched... and the tracks ended at... "Oh." said Galnor a bit sheepishly "No wonder it tasted a bit odd. Hmmm....I wonder what dragons taste like..." Galnor was promoted to Chief Designer of the mine that day, and many mugs of Galnor's alcohol were raised that evening to his victory... although many a dwarf was displeased that they missed a good fight. Ever since that day, Galnor's Mobile Still has been used whenever the dwarves go to war, but they are sure to have a spotter on the barrel platform to make sure Galnor doesn't mulch the wrong army. :-P Now the dwarves can say that they truly know the taste of victory.... X-D As a footnote to this story, the collector was found to be useful as a weapon of last resort when it was accidently overloaded causing it to spew high pressure fermenting vegetation (and goblins) over the enemy... but that's another story. ;-) Boring note by the creator: I've been wanting to make something dwarvish, something steam punk and something with tracks.... so I decided to save time and do it all at once! :-P I hope you like it.

OK... I'm all for good natured ribbing but I think we have made our point now.

Help choose a Lego Star Wars 10th annaversiry set (2009) Part 2 - Voti
Siegfried replied to Legoman's topic in LEGO Star Wars
You're telling me this? :-D Since you don't seem to know, I think most of Star Wars is highly impractical. For this reason I consider Star Wars Future-Fantasy, not Sci-Fi. But honestly, the concept of a heavily armoured hovering APC is just silly and it makes a walking APC seem sensible. For all the effort required you might as well make it fly. The AATs are even worse; whenever they fire their energized shell projectile launchers due to their lack of anchoring they would recoil backwards for several kilometers. :-P Hovering heavily armoured ground based vehicles will never happen. (But there's nothing wrong with heavily armoured slow vehicles.) -
:-D Probably, but she'd belt me up then and it would all be worth it. :'-) (She did find the picture funny though. ;-) )
-
Indeed it was... so I did a merge. ;-)

Help choose a Lego Star Wars 10th annaversiry set (2009) Part 2 - Voti
Siegfried replied to Legoman's topic in LEGO Star Wars
'cos it's just a floating hunchback box.... and it isn't highly believable or practical either. Look how long the deployment sequence takes; if the Gungans had any brains they would have thrown those giant testicle things then and the fight would have been over before it started :-| . -
(This is just imagination speaking.) Well if you're short I'll be happy to join in... but I wouldn't want to prevent someone new being in one...
-
A large mini-fig scale ship based on nothing that has about 5000 pieces. Pretty much, I want a MOC-in-a-box! :-D

Tantive IV in Mini-Fig scale... and I would prefer OT sets... but to be honest I like a lot of the PT sets even though I disliked the source material. For example, I disliked the MTT in the movie, but I loved the recent set... *wacko*
