  1. I was growing tired of the helpful suggestion PMs.
  2. No, we don't! I'd like them a sexed up just a little bit...
  3. That's such a great photo. I'll add it to the first post.
  4. Even though it ruins my "erg" fun, I've merged this topic.
  5. I believe it's due to the cost of the colours.
  6. Beautiful! It looks perfect to me. The motorised stand is a great idea. Yes he does!
  7. I've been very impressed with the new part designs.
  8. That, and the orange skin, will have to wait until the next sci-fi convention.

  9. Set Index: Breez 2.0 Natalie Breez is back! I like the new canisters. I must admit though that I am surprised that TLG keep making them. I personally find them useful and still have all of mine, but I keep reading how people often throw them out. As a guess they'd add 10% to the cost which for many people would be better spent on extra parts. Hmmm. Preston and Natalie combine... no I won't go there. Full parts list. No pins. No axles. No gears. As a long term buyer of this type of LEGO it's interesting... and good. It makes the line fresh. Even so, there are no spares in this set. Having a custom printed part each set is smart. I think it would have been better without the name, but I suppose it has it's advantages and disadvantages. It is more relevant for the theme, them being heroes and all. At last it's possible to get inside the head of a woman....! The visor head/headband/face thing. It attaches top and bottom using the common HF tabs. To me the rear is the highlight; it's a classic! As Peppermint_M said to me... "Yay, Masamune Shirow bunny ears!" Each hero set uses the same head, which is hardly surprising. It's a nice new mold though. At the bottom is a well re-enforced ball joint receptacle... ...and the top has the HF tabs. While I do like this head piece, I think it would have been better if the piece covered her head less. In fact, some of these pieces give me naughty knife-involving customisation thoughts... I like the new head top, but I think TLG should have had at least one of the sets without it for variety reasons. The "goggle" part in particular is too dominant. Same standard HF connection. Finished! Her head is hard to pose; I think she looks odd if you can't see the "eyes". Nope! Still didn't manage it! The new parts do give the figures a more fuller rear, but it still is a weak spot. Does her butt look big in this? No! (In fact at 75 grams she's one of the lighter Heroes!) Battle! Ratings Posability: If you want her eyes showing you'll either need just the right angle or a really bright light, but aside from that very! 8/10 Parts: A quite good blend of parts, especially in regard to the amour pieces. 9/10 Looks: Err.... this is female? It's an odd enough idea that they even have male/female, but I really wish TLG would make their female action figures look more distinctive. To my knowledge they've only done it once with 8761 Roodaka, who had hair, heels, earrings... and boobies! I'm not saying that boobies-make-the-girl, but I do think there should be some difference that seems feminine. The most perplexing thing is that the core piece is the wide shoulder version.... 5/10 Fudge: She doesn't look like a she. Bla bla bla 5/10 Overall: Sorry to say I'm a bit disappointed again with the female hero. 6/10 Take that Von!
  10. I was always hoping to meet Dieter. Aside from being a great EB member and a Staff Member with a very valued opinion and incredible energy I considered him a good friend. He will be very missed by us all and my thoughts are with his family.
  11. That is an odd piece. I tend to use things like that to fill train hoppers. I loved that contest. I've been wanting to run a similar one for years... Yeah, I'll merge them Shame it's yellow.
  12. I don't think it's a single piece. Looking at this image, to me it's one of these... ... and something similar at the back. It's hardly a stunning MOC though; I recommend working out you're own solution. While obviously too small, what TLG did with the Death Star was far smarter. I'd try to make something similar to that if you want something to work from.
  13. There are many French members here, including member number 1, Jipay. (I don't think French is the most hated language on the planet. Why would you think that? Sure the USA have had some silly political differences, but I don't think there is any reason for hatred. After all, who made the Statue of Liberty?)
  14. Yeah, from my experience kids have problems accepting stories like that. The good guys must be really good, the bad guys must be really bad, and the heroes win with minimum loss of life. Star Wars A New Hope is a good example of that; Darth is faceless and black, clearly evil, and the storm troopers are faceless. The only major death is Obi Wan, and he keeps on talking regardless! It doesn't really bother me from LEGO point of view, but I do prefer stories with "grey" characters. (To me Stephen R. Donaldson's Gap Cycle is one of the finest example of this.)
  15. Yeah, I get the erg all the time. I recently got the Shuttle Adventure and I've been doing launches; this included dropping the boosters and deploying the satellite to spy on my wife.
  16. As a 13 year old you are a kid, for this reason this could be the most perplexing topic ever. (Urge. Erg is a way to express energy, like Joule.)
  17. Yeah. This isn't a LEGO centric issue. Sad to say, to me most stories (books, movies, games) are just variants of an older one... or maybe I'm just getting old. I'd like that too.
  18. Yeah, I'm 100% with you. I use SNOT if I need to for a certain shape, but it's rare when I use it to achieve the studless look. Also, I don't build anything that can't be "handled", and that means many of the SNOT techniques are off limit to me.
  19. Stunning! I'm with General Magma though; the AT-AT needs high heels!
  20. Is he banned? No. I'm giving him a polite warning. But he lied when he signed up so what's the point in being honest now? We try to, but being so blatant when a member is really underage highlights that people seem to be forgetting that our target audience is not children. Even so, it's all about maturity, age is just a guideline. But 13...
  21. I hate to give such a bad welcome, but boasting about your age in your welcome topic (and username) when you've just told us you're 18 is... odd. Be aware that we reserve the right to ban members on age alone.
  22. Disturbing? I think Rotta is cute.

  23. I can't see it happening. TLG have made many low scale licenses; Boeing, VW, Toys 'r' Us, McLaren, McDonalds, Nesquik... I think this'll be one of those. Do I want it to be a bigger theme? Not particularly. I find licensed vehicle lines annoyingly restrictive and up the price for little good reason.
