Official Eurobricks Straightshooters List
Siegfried replied to Siegfried's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
Updated! When I get around to it. In most cases I don't do it more than once a month. Isn't -> <- a bit excessive? If you looked back and/or read the first post you would have found your answer, and I don't understand one one nomination is such a big deal anyway. As a reminder to everyone here are the (recently updated) rules; Note especially the one about changed names. -
Noted. We've heard of this happening before, but it's hard to investigate unless it happens to us! If it happens again, please PM the staff and/or create a topic while it's happening.
-
No, it's "username"; I just re-logged in to be 100% sure. It just accepts both. (I tested that too.) Do remember that your Display Name is not the same as your Log In Name.

...and I now have all the addresses! Darn... I wanted to open that last one, mumble mumble mumble...
-
Get promoted to a Vassal by making ten posts (as you have done) and then press this link.
-
Indeed it does! On that subject, I have all but one of the addresses. Mr last member you have Four days to get it to me, before we give it to some one else! (I'll decide later if I'm joking or not...)

Happy Birthday buddies!

Winners!
-
We had some great entries for the Number 4 contest, but it's now time to pick what entry was the luckiest! Was it you? (Did you enter? If not, your chances are much reduced.) Find out the winners!
-
The time has come, the Walrus said, to announce the winners. To drag things out further, here's a pic of the prizes! So, without further ado, or delay, or dragging things out further, the four winners are.... KartoffelViking UsernameMDM This one's proof that the entry was not a factor.... Orejon8 Dazmundo So congrats to the four winners! Now go away while I open this irrelevant packet... OK, OK, the last (half opened) one goes to... Scouts The five winners need to PM me their addresses ASAP so they can be sent their prizes. Congrats! Thanks everyone for the great entries!

No, it's not your fault. Somebody merged it into a topic rather than the other way round. Thus it became lost. But it's back now...

Blakbird, the Technic Angel of Retribution, is passing judgment on the new Technic offering and he asks the question everybody wants to know; does it deserve the time-honoured-title of "Supercar"? Want to find out? Read the new Technic Supercar review!

Nope, we're just busy arranging this, that and the other. There will be an answer in the next 48 hours.
-
The short answer is put it in your sig subtlety. Since you're hardly a long term regular this seems generous to me.
-
There's a common way? I know of many; 1. Building an any-colour prototype and then replacing later. 2. Designing via LDD and building. 3. Building the finished product from the start. ...and I can go on. I find LDD doesn't work for me. For one I'm on the computer too much already, but most of all a lot of what I make requires balance/strength testing, and you can't do that in LDD. Also, I rarely order parts to finish a MOC, so to design via LDD would run the risk of not being able to build what I designed.

Monkey using the legendary Quad Dino Gun of Rectanglaarium. (I'm not a valid prize winner.)

Yes. No. I checked; the image... http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/pman/LEGO/Eurobricks/dscn02871.png ...doesn't seem to exist.

Happy Birthday snappy one!
-
Silly patent. It's derivative at best.

I know what you mean, and my answer was "I suppose". I'll be blunt. This contest is meant as a bit of fun so over ruling things does ruin that fun. But allowing customs often raises the question "but why not m#g@ bl%ks then, neither are LEGO" and I'd rather avoid that one. Our requirements are simple afterall, so why are customs needed? But if you must (as others have) then do so... (I prefer the answer "I suppose". )
-
Find the link using the "View All Sizes" function. Yes, that's what I thought. Well someone already has done a LDD entry so... It should be at least a new photo, and I suppose customs are OK. Four would be a nice number...

Closed/concluded questions and answers
Siegfried replied to sologuy369's topic in Forum Information and Help
No. I don't see how a single topic covering all is better than a single forum. Nobody would read this... as I've said before. Ta. -
Very good! But where's his babe? Go out and get those aliens Duke!

Megabloks is stealing Technic building techniques
Siegfried replied to Plastic Nurak's topic in Community
Well when I posted that this topic was in the Technic forum, and it was becoming more and more off topic with each post! Now that it's in Community it's on-topic. But to answer your question, no, nothing is wrong with a little discussion, but it's becoming more than that. A similar topic was closed only a few days ago. It comes down to this; 1. If you love M$g! Bl*ks, you might be on the wrong site. 2. If you tolerate some M&g@ Bl#ks, it's OK, but we'd prefer you discussed it elsewhere. 3. If you hate M^g! Bl@ks we'd rather you kept your hated to a dull roar... and please don't be a troll and discuss it elsewhere! In short any topic on a non-LEGO construction toy belongs on EB as much as topics on Motorbikes do. We're happy for light occasional non-LEGO discussion of between friends, but in my experience any on the topic of M&g@ Bl*ks beyond that is pointless and causes trouble. The haters come out and say that the competitors are rubbish, the lovers defend them... and the topic just becomes a negative blight.
