I'm starting to think that people are creating new topics to avoid bumping... which is even worse. To help me clarify this I'll be merging some older topics. My apologies if I make a mess of things while doing my research...

General Pirates of the Caribbean Theme Discussion Thread
Siegfried replied to Oswald the Rabbit's topic in LEGO Pirates
...do remember that this topic is about LEGO POTC. Not the game, not the movies, nor is it about the theme park. People come to this topic hoping to hear more about the new sets and are disappointed. In the past we've been forced to close topics over this issue... -
Lasse D returns to delight us yet again with a stunning MOC. This truck is remote controlled, and yes, the drum does rotate. But that's not all. Read more in the TCG topic!

Exclusive Train 10219 Maersk Train (Exclusive 2011)
Siegfried replied to paul_delahaye's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Calmers man. It's not TLG fault that people scope out sets early and thus sets are "delayed". If you want to avoid the stress, don't read any LEGO fansites and just visit S@H once a month.- 379 replies

It's no big deal. The sad fact is Microsoft can't win here as the internet has two main standards; 1. The official ones. 2. The "what's accepted and done" ones. Chances are (I haven't looked into it much) IE9 is supporting the official ones best by default and reverts to the unofficial ones if asked to. This board uses a lot of Java (thankfully not as much as sites like Facebook) and is heavily CSS based for maximum skinning possibilities, and thus things can go wrong. I see variety of rendering on most browsers and to be honest I'm not sure what one it's designed for and thus I don't know what is the "correct" appearance. I probably should (and will) download IE9 and give it a look. I've heard that it's actually quite good. Try Opera.

MOC Revolutions
Siegfried replied to Blakbird's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
It was close. Thanks for sharing. -
Have 50 MB of internet bandwidth to spend? (No, not at your work.) Blakbird the Technic Angel of Retribution has made a topic with 27 rendered rotating images of Technic MOCs. You can find the images spinning around here, but please note I'm not joking about the image sizes...

Macoco's Buying/Selling & Trading Topic
Siegfried replied to Piranha's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
Issue 1. Yes, this is bumping by my standard. I can't (easily) tell if he received PMs or not, but it's looking like it has minimal interest he probably should post less updates as it's bumping down new topics in preference to his. But he makes a fair point; some members are just creating multiple topics which is worse. I think EB will need to rethink this forum soon as in it's current form it's not working too well. Issue 2. You're not a moderator. If there's something going on in the forums that you don't like there's a button. Use it. This keeps the debates non personal. EB's a big place, and yes we miss things. If you want to help us moderate, use the report button. -
Member Titles - Questions and Answers
Siegfried replied to languages's topic in Forum Information and Help
I should be Enlighten Brick Hater Look at the Train Tech and then Enlighten Trains forum Note the post date. xwingyoda doesn't visit EB much anymore, nor does he give out titles. Titles are just a fun thing for longer term members. Asking for one will not get you one (not even a bad one) and nagging about it just ruins the fun. You've been on EB for under a month. Be patient; while some do I didn't get one that fast so it's not a big deal. Just chill out and enjoy! See below. -

Such a cool set considering it's basic parts list. -
New iPhone app for Star Wars Minifigs

Ta. I was wondering how he could ask without making a post. (So you're "The forum admin" now eh? I'm jealous.) There's some good ones for the superior Android platform. -

Wheres the best places to pick up UCS
Siegfried replied to thegurumb's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
Yeah... -
...you do. We do say in the site rules that people shouldn't join just to advertise, so please keep that in mind. Also, please don't create topics with useless subjects. I will move this topic to community and rename the topic. "Any ideas....?" Now that I've got that out of the way, welcome to EB!

I merged your topics; there's no need to make a new topic for the same content. Please don't reply to this post. This sale has been bumped enough.

Has anyone heard of Brickstix ?
Siegfried replied to lightningtiger's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Interesting. I'm assuming that they made from that electrostatic film thing that's becoming more common. It's not a bad idea, although I question the effectiveness as a way to customise minifigs. If anyone buys some please post about it! -

Post your general LEGO Star Wars questions here
Siegfried replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Like most things it's all about supply and demand. If a set is expensive it often means that the set was rare or expensive in it's time, or it could just mean that no one sells them or that it's just really old. I don't think 7153 is overpriced. For one, it's the only set with Boy Boba and Jango Fett. -
As it should be. I've never read that one, and I should!. However the similarity make sense; my main inspiration is from a TV show; The Secret Adventures of Jules Verne. It's empty...

Lego Technic Clones
Siegfried replied to imajor's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Please note I'm not talking about the brick design, I'm talking about the set design. In most cases TLG cannot legally prevent manuafaturers copying the classic brick, or even compatible elements it seems. But the set designs are a different matter. These sets are just as illegal as copying a movie and selling it. However I think TLG have grown tired of legal efforts, and in the case of China I don't blame them; close one company down it'll just re-open next week with a new name!
